- jasonlW9068LD0 contributionsIt almost felt like a scam at first...I booked the Game of Thrones room as a surprise for my girlfriend while we were visiting the city. As a couple of tourists we had some trouble finding the entrance to the facility, and all we could find was a door with a couple of doorbells. We rang the one for LaserStar multiple times, but no answer. We called the number and they said they would send someone down. We still had to wait almost 30 minutes for the door to be opened so we could enter the building. I was so anxious during this time, thinking it was all a scam. When we finally made it upstairs to the reception, there was 1 employee waiting for us. He asked for our reservation and I showed him, then he proceeded to tell us that we need to pay 5€ per person for a plastic card that is supposably needed for playing the escape room game. It was just an excuse to try get some personal data, because they immediately ask you to "register" an account for that card before you can play. After doing all that, the employee asked us which room we had booked. I told him that I booked the Game of Thrones room, but then he said that room was double booked apparently and that it was not available. It was the sole reason for me to go to this place... I was so disappointed. The employee was nice and seemed sincere when he apologised for the error, but the place was also very understaffed since he had to run the whole place by himself on a Friday evening... He offered us our money back for the cards, and asked us if we wanted to use one of the other two escape rooms that were available. After some discussion with my friends we decided to just go for the Jack The Ripper room. All in all that was still pretty fun, it was not the most challenging, but for beginners like us it was enough to keep us busy for the whole hour. On-site laser tag, eccentric mini golf, and escape rooms rounded out this experience. This was a unique take on mini golf that had my children laughing hysterically. Would recommend this for anyone willing to try a different type of indoor adventure.Written August 18, 2023

The room looks good at first. However, the puzzles are not particularly logical or good. Some of them were not legible, so we needed a lot of hints - even though we are experienced players.

The place is easily accessible by S-Bahn or U-Bahn at Neukölln station.
The building itself is already mediocre, elevator broken and in the stairwell it smells of urine. Not pretty.
Arriving on the ground floor, you can expect the most uncomfortable restaurant I have ever seen at such a location.
The staff is friendly and striving, but also required if they have to cash in and look after the games at the same time.
Which is quite outrageous that you have to buy a Gamer Card for 5 Euros per person in addition to booking via Tripadvisor!
The escape space itself is ok, but some puzzles impossible to solve yourself.
If I do something like this again in Berlin, I won't come back here
