About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- y0sth0 contributionsVirtual and Live Berlin Street Art TourThe live street art tour in Berlin was fantastic! We really appreciate Finn’s knowledge and support in making the tour interactive with the students. He showed us interesting pieces of street art and the meanings behind them. We had an international group of students as participants who appreciated this opportunity to experience Berlin in this live virtual format and hear the guide's perspectives living in Berlin. The audio was clear which was important for us with no connection issues.Written April 8, 2021
- ted p0 contributionsGreat private tours of BerlinWe used Touriocity to book both a driving tour and then a walking tour the next day. the driving tour met us in the lobby of the Ritz and we had both a driver and the tour guide who was most informative and interested in the history of Berlin. The walking tour also started at our hotel and we took the subway to the East side to begin our walking. Again an excellent guide and full of Berlin history and knew the various neighborhoods we walked thru. I highly recommend this private guide service and will use them again.Written July 26, 2016
- DSM7770 contributionsTwo Great Tours of BerlinWe love touring cities as a family and always book private tours. Berlin is a very cool city to explore! On our trip in June, we booked four tours with Touriocity. I highly recommend tours with Christopher Taylor. We did two tours with him. The first is the highlights tour. He is a master of giving you context and Berlin makes so much more sense when you understand all of the why's and how's surrounding it. The second tour I recommend with him is of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. It was chilling but it is also a particularly good exhibit – we had previously visited Auschwitz and thought this camp exhibit told a more in depth story. It is a 30 minute train ride outside the city. And Chris does a great job of putting it all together for you. I would not recommend the Jewish highlights tour; everything was destroyed and there is not much to see. But the Jewish Museum captures it all wonderfully! I would suggest a tour guide because the museum is huge and a good guide could help you focus on the highlights. As for Museum Island, it depends what you are looking for in a tour of Berlin? There are many Greek and Egyptian relics on Museum Island, which is fascinating but they are different stories than the varied history of Berlin. The exception is the National Galerie, which has some paintings that were approved by the Nazis. Not on Museum Island, but worth a visit is the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum. There is an exhibit on the third floor with art that was confiscated; the pieces are accompanied by short but informative explanations. And if I could tour Berlin again, I might also add tours of the Reichstag and the German History Museum. In a nutshell, Touriocity did a great job finding Chris for us but perhaps choose your other tours and tour guides carefully.Written June 28, 2016
- travellingkeef0 contributionsSuper Interesting Tour (I don't normally take tours but this one was private and one of the best things we did in Berlin. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job of giving us lots of history and cultural tidbits. She took us all around East Berlin and the 3 hour tour went by in what seemed like an hour. We learned lots of stuff we would have completely missed otherwise and also got a bunch of tips on places to eat and drink from a local. Since this was a private tour, we could go at our own pace, which was big plus. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Berlin.Written April 18, 2016
