I want to prefave my review with Berlin is a great historical city. I have travelled most of Europe and Berlin was one my last places to visit. But in this city I noticed the highest level of racism amongst all the cities in Europe that I have visited. People of Berlin although very proud of their own city are eery cold towards visitors and look at them as financial means and extra for their city than visitors that should have great experience. I did have myself several encounters with people and authorities that showed clear racism, and also stayed in a hostel that had many youth from all over the world and heard their racism stories. In reality it does not.matter how small or large are episodes but the fact is the racism experience over shadows all other expeirences and makes a lasting impression on a person. To that reason althouhh Berlin is a great city I don't think I would come back here. I simply give you one experience that everyone can face. I came to Berlin by a train from Prague. The train dow not go to the central station and unloads in outskirts of the city. Now this might be due to security reasons I don't know. When Igot off I noticed there is no one to help with guiding you to get in the city. There was a machine to buy ticket but the process I could not figure out so I decided to get on the train and go to central and buy my ticket there. Big mistake. I found that this is also a trap. On the train I faaced a ticket office just before the central station. I explained that I am a visitor, did not understand the process and need help with buying tickets. He asked me to wait outside of the train and when he joined he called another one and they both charged me with violation and 60 Euro fee. They asked to pay on the spot or go to.police station. I again explained I am visitor which shows clearly from my luggage and train ticket from Prague and need help and also have to go bathroom, and don't mind to go to police if they let me go to bathroom first. But they both denied me any of these and said we have to go right away. I told them this is a racist behaviour and they both laughed and said it is what it is. Clearly knowing I am singled out I paid the 60 Euro to get them off my back and get on my way. The point is anyone of us can face similar situation however pretty or white skin we might look. I think racism is inheritant im German culture and something you always need to have in the back of your mund when you come to this greqt city. Chao.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about pre-WWII Jewish life in Berlin. Our guide also was very good at modifying the tour to reflect our interests---with less emphasis on the Holocaust itself, and more on the people who lived in the Jewish sector. We got excellent insights into a culture that's part of our family history, even seeing schools that relatives likely attended. Excellent!!!

Nadav is an extra ordinary tour guide. We had an almost five hour walking tour of city center Berlin with the most in depth and thought provoking points of view. Bringing his own family history into the fold and adding to it a thorough historical background- made what seemed an ordinary tour- breathtaking. In addition to being friendly , kind and modest. He gave us the stories behind the headlines and answered all our questions and requests. Highly recommended.

We did a private Jewish tour of Berlin with Oren. Oren was a very knowledgeable young man who taught us a great deal about the history of Jews in Berlin from the Middle Ages to present day Berlin. We visited some interesting sites and heard some great stories about the people of Berlin, past and present. Oren arrived on time at our scheduled meeting point and he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we needed to see. I would highly recommend this tour.

Nadav was a wonderful guide. He gave us a good overall history of Berlin, from its establishment to today, with information about the geopolitics and economic forces that shaped it. Most of our tours was spent looking at and talking about significant sites from 1914, and the beginning of the First World War, until 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall. I especially enjoyed Nadav's perspective on the rise of National Socialism -- while Hitler was central, it's important to explore why a nation of seventy million, that produced Goethe and Luther, a country of philosophers and artists and scientists, became a nation that committed mass murder. We went by, but didn't have time to visit, the new Topography of Terror museum, which looks at the perpetrators of the Holocaust, rather than its victims. Who were they? How were they raised? What did they do before they took their jobs organizing and performing the Holocaust? I look forward to visiting that museum, too. It was an informative and interesting day that genuinely made me think.

Nadav was very knowledgeable of the history of Berlin. He pointed out interesting landmarks, and provided historical context. I learned a lot from.him. He also had some great restaurant and cafe recommendations. I highly recommend him if you are visiting Berlin!

Nadav showed us the best of Berlin in 5 hours, armed with full of knoledge and pacience for our kids. It covered all basics in the places and history of the city, accomodated to our family's needs. Our kids 11, 15, 16 hear him out during all the 5 hours tour, which means he was fun and interesting, and it says a lot about him 😁. Very reccommended

Nadav is very knowledgeable, was able to bring personal history, and give us local insight on all of the places we visited. We were able to break bread with him a few times and enjoyed his presence when we went to Wittenburg. Would definitely recommend him for any tours of Berlin.
