Excellent 3,5 hour tour with the smart, funny and friendly guide Paul
We had a lovely family tour with Paul, who guided us with great enthusiasm and well managed our family of 12 with an age span from 2 to 84. Thank you!

      Beautiful Berlin
We went on the tour last year in October. We had Paul Tobin as our tour guide, he was fantastic and very informative. We found the conversations he provided invigorating and a side of German History we had never perceived. We enjoyed the sight seeing and the overall history of the tour. If you are short on time in Berlin and want to see as the key highlights, recommend this tour (just be mindful this is an ALL DAY WALKING tour)

A lot of walking but worth it
Darren was very knowledgeable. We loved all the history of Berlin. Lots of heavy topics covered but done in such a way that was very informative. Wear your walking shoes.

      Excellent and engaging tour
Paul was an excellent and engaging tour guide who happily answered all our questions with ease and knowledge. It was a great way to learn and experience some of the more "off the beaten track" parts of Berlin. I would heartily recommend the tour. The beer was great too!

      Sachsenhausen Tour
Tour was excellent and thoroughly informative. The guide was very knowledgeable on the camp and many other topics. We would highly recommend this experience to bring to life how inhuman a small portion of humanity can be that affects the world.

      Do this tour!!!
We loved this! This was an excellent walking tour of Berlin with an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed our guide’s deep appreciation of history, clear explanations, and interesting perspectives. You cover a lot of historical ground in a short time, so it’s a great way to start your Berlin trip and see where you may wish to dig deeper and spend a bit more time on your own.

      Great Tour
Paul was very knowledgeable about all the areas of Berlin from the well known city highlights to the lesser known secrets of the city. Tons of beer that you get to choose from, too! Thanks, Paul!

Private tour to Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
I would highly recommend this tour. The tour guide (Kieran) was very knowledgeable, good communicator, patient, friendly, and professional. Make sure to have suitable foot ware, dress for the weather, and bring a small snack. This tour is a great history lesson in a real environment. Suitable for ages +12 and over.

      Cold War Tour
The tour itself was very informative but the trip advisor description needs updating as no where was it mentioned as a WALKING tour. We had a person in our group who was disabled and had a hard time walking. By the time he would teach the group the guide was done talking. It also says watch tower ticket entry was covered but we only saw watch tower from afar. It would have been helpful to have been told to bring euros for train. Luckily we had some on us when the guide told us we needed to purchase tickets. Once I took the tour I understood why it was walking and why we took the train. Fascinating and informative but update description so people know what they are getting into

      Excellent!
Our guide, Julien, was a WEALTH of knowledge! He shared information throughout our tour and when we had questions, even off topic, he had answers ready! A very intelligent and interesting young man… he does speak fast, so pay attention!

Absolutely incredible tour for those looking for something unique!
My dad and I took the tour with Paul and had an incredible time. Paul is so knowledgeable about Berlin and it's history and gave us a ton of information you wouldn't get on other tours. A fun and informative tour that takes so many different places. I can not recommend this tour enough to anyone who truly wants to see a different side of Berlin, especially with a guide as friendly and informative as Paul. Great great tour.

I took this tour with three of my friends and we all agreed that is was one of the best tours we had been on in any country and of any type. Our guide was Paul and he could not have been more knowledgable, well-spoken, respectful, or patient (especially with with our many questions). It was an extremely powerful experience and I highly recommend taking the time to do this tour and to remember that the atrocities that occurred there were truly not that long ago. In addition to this tour, we ended up doing another walking tour of Berlin with Paul and followed some of his recommendations for restaurants and such! Thank you!!

I had a private tour to Sachsenhausen with a wonderful tour guide Paul in December. I was the only person booked in for the tour that day and I was most impressed that the tour still went ahead as it costs a lot more for a private tour. Thank you Paul for organising my train ticket and helping with the translation when buying lunch. Paul had great knowledge and was full of enthusiasm . I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks again.

Very well organised trip, our guide Stephen was fantastic - very knowledgeable on all subjects re Berlin/WW2, not just the camp. The tour was interesting and we learnt lots of new things, but it was carried out with respect for the place we were visiting. Stephen delivered the information in an interesting way, so it didn't just feel like an overload of facts. Would recommend Birchys tours, and I also feel it is important for people to visit these camps.

I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide, Paul, is so knowledgable, friendly, and had an in depth and fascinating answer to every question. He knows so much and is happy to share his knowledge. He's also just a really nice guy and takes the time to get to know everyone on the tour. Visiting Sachsenhausen is eye opening and in some ways very upsetting, but so important. This tour takes a thorough and respectful look at the camp. If you're considering this tour then definitely go ahead and book. Thanks Paul!

We had a fantastic 3.5 hour tour (we met at the camp itself) with Paul. He was extremely knowledgeable and made excellent use of the time. He gave a great introduction, setting the place in historical context, and throughout the tour helped make connections and answer questions.
It's a lot to take in, but like he said at the end of the tour... we are all better people for looking squarely at history, and for trying to honor and remember the victims. We were a large group of parents and high school students, and communicating with the head of the tour company prior to the tour itself was also excellent -- quick response time! Highly recommend, and will definitely use them again.

We are a group of 18 students who opted for a guided tour on 12 March, 22 and our guide was Paul. He was an absolute pleasure to be with! Paul was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently. I would also like to thank Aaron who was handling the operations at the back end to organise a group trip with us. Overall, this trip is highly recommended - if you come to Berlin and do not visit this, you're missing out !!!

Paul is an amazing guide for this tour. We were a group of 17 with a mix of adults and high schoolers. Paul kept everyone's attention striking a balance of facts, stories and history. He kept everyone's attention and was happy to answer questions. He provided appropriate context and compassion for this somber place. Paul was extremely friendly and is a native English speaker. I highly recommend taking this tour and using Paul as your guide.

My son and I were on a brief visit to Berlin and chose this tour….good call. Paul was at the meeting site early, very friendly, and patient as other your members were a bit late.

Paul was an amazing tour guide. His ability to place is back in time, and provide the context for the events that occurred made the tour of such a somber place compassionately educational.

He shared his knowledge and recommendations for everything from transportation and refreshment to follow-on sites, shopping and dining.

Very good opportunity to learn a party of history. Paul was an excellent guide, very friendly, open to exchanging ideas about our own history. He answered in detail every question that was asked. I would definitely recommend this tour for people who want to find out more about what happened. Paul, if you are reading this, come to Romania, you’ll find interesting stuff about the country’s history.

I couldn't have found a better guide for this tour than Paul. He has a very deep knowledge about the place and the entire historical period, and I especially liked that he put everything into context.
I have learnt a lot during my time there about the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp itself and about the system of the camps as well.
He is very friendly, so I wasn't afraid of asking anything, I can only recommend this tour to everyone.
