      Excellent Tour highly recommended
My mum and I did this tour with Harald and his driver on November 10th 2024. It was a brilliant experience. Harald and his friend were friendly and picked us up early. We were shown places we wouldn't of normally visited like the Art Alley. That is so breathtaking. We were shown the east side gallery and my mum learnt how the Berlin Wall affected the Berliners. We were shown so many places and told many interesting stories and facts about Berlin in our time together. It was far more relaxed and informative than using public transport which is very good, but if you want to see a lot and know the History this is the best way to go. I don't have nothing bad to say about this tour it was a great experience which I will do again next time I go to my beloved Berlin. Thank you Harald for such a great experience

      Berlin in style!
Harald gave us an excellent half day tour of the highlights of Berlin. We had been there before but it was good to have a locals perspective this time. His knowledge and friendly nature combined for an excellant experince. Thanks Harald! i will look to see if we have any photos of our VW combi going through Checkpoint Charlie back in 1974!

      You can't go wrong!
It couldn't have been better! Herald is a gentleman and a scholar, and he shared his knowledge with us. We had 3 hours on a Wednesday and 3 hours on a Thursday, and saw most every highlight in Berlin. He has a great sense of humor also!

Tour from Local Berliner Full of Insights and Personal Stories that Made Berlin Live
Our tour guide, Claudia was phenomenal. Because she lived in West Berlin when the wall came down, her stories were authentic, insightful, and personal. I didn't know what to expect when I booked this tour, and all I had in mind was seeing Checkpoint Charlie. By the end of the tour, I knew there we so much more. I appreciate that Claudia didn't focus her tour on Hitler and WWII. She talked about that, yes, but much of the tour centered around the Wall and the division between East and West Germany--in personal ways. We visited the Wall, the museum next to it, the Arch, the memorial of those who died next to the arch, CheckPoint Charlie, and ended at the Holocaust Memorial. I'd never heard of the Holocaust memorial in Berlin and found it a beautiful touching way to end. This was by far one of the best tours I took during our European Cruise.

      An amazing day in Berlin
We recently went on a 6 hr Berlin tour with Harald. He did an amazing job providing details that kept my kids engaged and interested throughout. While there is so much to see in Berlin, Harald did a great job in compressing as much as possible into the time we had. Our conversations were engaging and he displayed extensive knowledge of the sites and their history.

The guide to use if you want to see what the guidebooks don't mention.
We wanted to go to some very specific places, and Harald not only found them for us, he also took us to nearby [places so we could better understand the neighborhood. Harald also modified some basic tours to let us visit different sites. We saw very few tourists on our visits, leading me to conclude that Harald is the guide to choose if you want to see things that are not in the guidebooks. One wonderful advantage he provides is car service which allows you to see more and saves your legs. We sought out Harald specifically because he gave us such a wonderful your several years ago, and we will use him again when we return to Berlin.

      Wonderful experience!
Excellent Jewish tour! Harald was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure to show us all he could in the 3 hour time limit we had. He showed us places and explained their meaning and value that we would not have seen on our own or with another guide. Don’t miss the chance to see Jewish Berlin with Harald!!

We thoroughly enjoyed Harald, our private guide for this tour. He integrated public memorials/historic displays as well his own collection of historic photographs to tell the story of Berlin's iconic monuments over the years. I found his photographs to be incredibly helpful to visualize former versions of the city and its buildings. My 17 yo son is a WWII buff and Harald engaged him in very intelligent and thoughtful conversations along our tour. Highly informative, professional and personable!

My husband and I contacted Harald based on our son's recommendation and we were very pleased! We met Harald at a pre-arranged site and walked and toured with him for 4 hours! The tour encompassed all of the major historical sites of the city from the perspective of a local. It was a great way to get an overview and yet left much for us to explore on our own the next day. We highly recommend Harald.
