We visited Berlin as part of a Viking tour. We added on 2 days post cruise extension. We knew we wanted to see as much as possible and a walking tour appealed to us. Reading the resumes of the guides, Martin Sauter’s caught our eye. We were not disappointed. We emailed several times about what Viking was showing us, and what we wanted to see. We finally decided on a 5 hour walking tour. It was raining, then sleeting and oh, wait, a protest rally and all while we first met Martin. He couldn’t have planned a more enticing introduction. Our booking experience, deciding what areas we wanted to visit and meeting point couldn’t have been easier. Martin gave the 4 of us ( 2 couples traveling together) an incredible 5 hour tour. His insight and narrative provided an incredible background for us. We even stopped in a unique coffee shop with the most wonderful coffees and teas. He took us to varied areas of the city. When we went by the building where Angela Merkel lives, he went with me to even take a picture of the door bells. He’s amazing! If we get back to Berlin, Martin will hopefully, still be a guide and take us to more places.

We had such an incredible experience with Loulia and City Unscripted on a 3 hour Tour of Berlin! We won a competition for a weekend break in Berlin and part of that was this 3 hour movie tour, I filled out the questionnaire and explained that we were really interested in the Techno scene in Berlin. Loulia wasn’t really in to Techno, however she had gone to the effort of doing research in to it and planning the itinerary of our tour to incorporate all of the biggest Techno clubs, along with all the other historical sites throughout the city. This was one of the highlights of our trip and I can’t recommend her and City Unscripted more highly. Thanks so much.

Darren did a great job .. he was very flexible with our schedule and also to our preferences in regards on what we want to accomplish with the tour … he’s very pleasant and knowledgeable ; we were very pleased with him !

This was a great introduction to Berlin and a fun night! I was traveling by myself, wanted to get acclimated to the city quickly and be given an introduction by a Berliner. I appreciated Stephan’s knowledge and insight, well worth it - fun too!

Our host Alex was really friendly and great to talk to. He showed us two lovely places one for Schnitzels and the other for coffee and cake. We would not have found these places on our own we had a wonderful time.

This was not the first tour I took in Berlin with Stephan and each time it was fun and interesting. I'm looking forward to be back again. 100% recommended.

Ilaria was a great guide showing me some of the highlights of Berlin but also some of the lesser known nooks and crannies. She truly loves Berlin and it showed.

Andreas is a charming guide, very knowledgeable and attentive. Our conversation was wide ranging and a lot of fun. However, I wasn't feeling very well on the night, and was unable to fully appreciate my tour. If ever I have the good fortune to return, I'd like to do this all over again...except I'd make sure it was from Thursday Friday or Saturday. Even Berlin is a little quiet mid week.

Our guide, Mark Meadows, was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he made our tour of Berlin a fun and learning-filled experience.

We asked Andreas for a tour for our family that would bring the history of Berlin to life while taking us off the beaten track and giving us some street art to view. By agreement, he didn't tell us where we were going and took us on a magical mystery tour which included visiting the fascinating Teufelsberg Hill. With three kids in our group, Andreas hit the nail on the head by taking us somewhere different and away from the crowds. He was a very knowledgeable and personable guide, we all enjoyed talking and learning from him - and would absolutely recommend him and City Unscripted.

Excellent tour of the city of Berlin. The main reason was the local tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. He took me to really unscripted parts of berlin which may have been missed with regular toriristy places . He was a very pleasant personality . One of the best trips I ever had of any european city. I would highly recomemed the tour Guide Cesar and the City Unscripted Tour Company.

Jan-Benedict is incredibly well-informed. He was forthcoming and open with some of our sensitive questions. Additionally, he was born and raised here in Berlin. It was a lovely experience to learn about the city through the eyes of an authentic local.

Cesar was an entertaining and informative tour guide who showed us a couple of the Christmas markets of Berlin and some other locations with Christmas lights. He spoke enthusiastically about the history of Berlin and personalised the tour to suit our needs as it was a private tour with just us as a couple. Mulled wine and entrance to the markets was included in the cost and we enjoyed the tour immensely despite the cold weather !
