- RoryM79600The real Berlin experience ArnieReally really interesting tour , gave us a deep glimpse into the personality of Berlin and the people living there throughout the last century we had Arnie as a tour guide and we all thoroughly enjoyed it !!
- juliatravels00Street Art Tour GOOD, Real Berlin Tour BADMy mom and I did 2 tours with Alternative Berlin Tours. First, we did the Real Berlin Tour. This tour was boring and didn’t cover what was advertised. I wouldn’t recommend it. There were a lot of people on the tour so they split us into 2 groups with 2 different guides. First we were with Leo/Theo (unsure exactly what their name was), who spoke so softly that we could barely hear the tour at all. Because of this, we ended up moving to the other guide’s group, whose name I don’t know since we joined the tour late (he had a mohawk and a punk rock vibe). He spent an inordinate amount of time babbling about himself and his own experience living in Berlin. It was so pointless that we ended up leaving the tour at the break and walking around the neighborhood with Rick Steve’s self-guided walking tour instead. Second, we did the Street Art Tour. Our guide was Susanna. We liked this tour, and after doing other tours and sight-seeing in Berlin focused on history, it was cool to do a tour that focused more on Berlin in the present. The art that we saw was interesting, and there was definitely a benefit in going with a guided tour vs. just walking around the area because it helped us notice things we wouldn’t otherwise have seen or understood. We appreciated that Susanna also made an effort to feature diverse artists (women, POC, artists from different countries, commissioned vs. illegal street art, etc.). Susanna was overall a great, lively, and engaging guide! Our only complaint about the tour is that it was extremely hot (90 degrees F), and everyone on the tour seemed to be suffering and trying to find shade, yet Susanna would regularly ask us to move to stand next to her in the sun at each stop. Also, instead of using the ticket we were instructed to bring on the tour, Susanna had us walk 15min in the full sun instead. In other weather this would have been no big deal, but since it was a very hot day, we ended the tour completely wiped out and drenched in sweat.
- Reba21700great walking tourI wish i could remember the tour guides name, she was great. I also wish i took this tour on my first day i arrived as they give you great tips on neighborhoods, shopping, where to see music, and restuarants. Unfortunately saved it for the last day. I will have to go back!
- I6724DAph00Excellent and interesting tourWe have seen parts of Berlin we have never seen before. The British tour guide Reece was funny and amusing, while he was very knowledgeable about the city. Excellent tour.
- jasminal9000What a day! This tour is a must! We got to see a whole another side of Berlin and it was amazing! Our tour guide was so funny and nice and we had the best time ever!
- ann w00Engaging, enjoyable tour - definitely recommend.Ben was our tour guide. Very engaging with lots of interesting stories. Showing us a different view of Berlin. The time just flew in - very enjoyable.
- Y5371FR_00DelightfulVery enjoyable experience. I have been living in Berlin just under 10 years and took this tour to look at the city from a different angle and I have to say it was a delightful walk with very nice stories about places and culture. Can only recommend it to others.
- farfromhometom00Great tourA great walking tour that we had to leave early (another booking). A fab English guide (can’t recall his name now - DJ/historian/cool dude) who was very knowledgable and friendly. Will finish this tour on another occasion. Defiantly recommend. Get you daily travel ticket in advance.
- M4681INsophias00Best tour I’ve been on. Period.Best tour I’ve ever had! Marnie met us On a rainy grey day. She showed us the beauty of Berlin which we had walked past but did not previously appreciate. We walked away feeling joyous, appreciative of the art, and happy. Marnie is very articulated, beautifully engaging and a delight to travel through Berlin seeing the highs and lows of the city. What a gem!
- carappleee00The best way to discover Berlin street artWe took part in the 3 hours Street Art Tour with Marnie, she's a fantastic guide! She loves art and her job and she is able to transmit it to the visitors, and she knows how to involve people in the tour. It is a very interesting tour if you like street art and if you want to explore Berlin graffiti and street art, which is incredible. Also, it allows you to discover art that maybe you don't know that exists and you can admire the real Berlin street art with all its explanations. In fact, I would have never seen all that the guide showed us, if I were alone. For the tour, you need the AB U-Bahn ticket, but if you don't have time to buy it before the visit, don't worry, you have time to buy it at the moment, but obviously it's faster if you have it. You can buy it easily in the machines of the underground train station. We used it only once, in the final part of the tour. If you're worried about the "3 hours tour" don't worry, it's not boring or tiring if you like Berlin street art! I really recommend it!!
- CoachMel7300Excellent tour!!We had our Street Art tour on November 2nd - it was a wonderful tour and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the rich art scene of Berlin. The guide was lovely - really well-informed, engaging, and fun. The value for the money was incredible! I feel very lucky at what we were able to see, and for sure we wouldn't have found most of this amazing art (never mind had the context) without this tour. Unfortunately one of our party got ill (unrelated) and we had to leave the tour early...and I still think it was worth more than what we paid even having experienced only half!! TEN OUT OF TEN.
- taylorfrom00Free Walking TourWe did the free walking tour and it was 100% worth partaking in. We had the handsome American named Cole as our guide and he was fantastic and so knowledgeable about the city and all the street art, there was not a question that he did not know the answer to. Very informative and I feel like I know the city of Berlin just that much better. Also good size for a tour group, not too big and not too small-about 9 people on our tour. Highly recommend!
- 387isav00Amazing experience with this tourThe best walking tour. Great tour guide! The tour brings you to the mist authentic and beautiful places of berlin and the stories are very interesting
- michaelaY4798LC00Amazing way to see an important, alternative side of Berlin!Ben was a fantastic guide! From poster boards, buildings, alleyways and the wall, you get an appreciation of the importance of street art and culture in areas you may not have visited (or knew were hidden around a corner). It is amazing how the art jumps out at you after going on this tour. I have a much better appreciation for the counterculture that Berlin is known for and the struggle for it thrive.
- nexminute00Great tour with local contemporary focus - highly recommendedPeter the guide was great - very knowledgeable and fun. He had some great stories and showed us lots of things we would not have found without him. A good mix of topics. Great to be seeing and hearing of contemporary art, culture and politics. Recommended.

This is a fantastic tour that brings street art to life. Our guide was very versed in a variety of artists and was engaging. The tour made me think differently about the craft.
Would recommend trip advisor separate the link from the contact phone number with a space. It was difficult to determine who to call for information.
The operator did help us find the guide and the tour was well worth finding.

Trevor, and Irishman in Berlin, was a fantastic guide. Lots of fun and many stories about his time as a graffiti guy, and many visits to interesting and pretty street art. If you love the divers life of Berlin, you will find new spots and notice things you never have before. We learned the story behind many of street art paintings and the artists behind. Trevor is knowledgeably, and he opened our eyes and minds to a new world. We learned about “heavenly spots”, techniques and different personalities among the artists. A trip with the S-bahn through Berlin will never again be the same, but more interesting.

We booked this tour for our 1st day in Berlin and we were glad to have done so ! Rob introduced us to places we loved and we would not have visited otherwise. And starting with the tour, mainly in East Side, allowed us to focus on other parts of the city afterwards, via The Urban Nation Art map notably.
Thanks Rob for the Great time !

We did this tour with a family of five. The tour was let by a columbian street artist antony who talked passionately about the history, the meaning, and the context of the art and graffiti. We walked away with a better understanding and appreciation. When we did the tour it was a bit chilly. And we got cold feet, it would have been nice to have two breaks instead of one to warm up. Also the first part of the tour was all location in one location, and there was a lot to see but i would have been okay to walk around a bit more in the city - overall though the tour was great

It was a great experience, I learnt a lot and it was interesting. I would like to make a special mention to Xavier, my guide, who was really nice and was giving very good tips about Berlin. He was interested in what he was doing and he took pains to make sure that everything went well. I got along very well with him. The only unfortunate thing is that during a good part of the tour, a lot of rain fell and I got soaked, but nobody is obviously responsible for that, it's just bad luck…

Loved this tour, so interesting, informative and unique. Our guide, Antonio, was amazing. He really knows how to perform and guide a tour with giving a lot of interesting information, yet keeping it entertaining and funny. Go to this tour and support the local artists at the end!
Be prepared because it is a long tour with a short little coffee break.

What an excellent off beat afternoon.. Marnie was an excellent guide giving an overview of the history, artistic genres and techniques and personal insights. Really inspiring with her enthusiasm. Wholeheartedly recommend this tour. And, as an aside, definitely follow her advice of finding a local bar after the tour! It’s a great destination.
