About
Feel like a Berliner on this on encompassing 5-hour sightseeing and food tour in the stunning districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte. Be engaged by the sights and stories of a city steeped in history and dine on delicious local cuisine. These two Berlin districts were once the location of Nazi Germany's chambers and first-ever concentration camp. Post WWII moved the 30-year Soviet occupation and the Berlin Wall, which divided Prenzlauer Berg in two, thus beginning the start of the mass trend known as squatting. An English-speaking expert guide will take you in a small-group tour on a historical journey, while dipping into exquisite eateries including traditional streets food, tastings in the former Jewish quarter, local Delicatessen, Berliner beer, delicious Oriental plate and a to-die-for dessert!

I've taken a lot of food tours and this was one of the best! Loved the mix of old Berlin food and new Berlin food. My family and I had an amazing time!

This is a great way to discover the area. The food was wonderful (especially the unusual and absolutely gorgeous Häppy’s) and Holger, our guide, was fun, engaging and knowledgeable and gave us all a day to remember with lots of laughs. I highly recommend this!

We walked through lovely streets in Prenzlauer Berg and had plenty of food in quite different locations .
We were a small group - 4 persons including Violeta , our great guide tour - . It was like going out for food with friends , sooooo nice !

We had a great time exploring the streets and foods of Berlin, tasting some old and some new classics. Our guide was Violetta, who was also very knowledgeable about history (in addition to food) which made the tour incredibly interesting. Would recommend!

If you're looking for a fun, delicious, and interesting way to explore Berlin, look no further because Fork and Walk is pretty much it.

We were lucky enough to get Dov (who looks like Gene Wilder, I was struggling to place it the whole tour lol) as our guide and he was great.Truly the Wonka to our Berlin food factory tour. Very funny, personable, and most important, filled with tons of knowledge about the neighborhood and Berlin. I don't think we had a question that he couldn't answer; dude was a walking encyclopedia.

On the history side, I loved the mix of places that we went to. There were so many hidden gems that I would have never found on my own, but that helped tell Berlin's story in a beautiful and often thought-provoking way. We also didn't run into any other tour groups, so it felt like a very unique experience, really special.

On the food side, everything was perfect. The types of food, the timing between foods lol, the amount of food...I have no complaints. Everything was delicious (even the more unconventional things), and every stop was a chance to contextualize that food within the larger history of Berlin, so even while you're eating, you're learning.
On portion sizes, we shared everything and I was satisfied, but not stuffed.
To add context, I went to climb the Victory Tower after the tour, and death did not come. I was also hungry enough for dinner later that night, but didn't need any food until dinner. For me, that was a plus, because I wasn't looking to be out of commission for the whole day.

So overall, I had a fantastic time and definitely recommend that you stop reading reviews and go book your Fork and Walk tour. If you have active taste buds and like to have fun, you're gonna love it. I certainly did and will definitely go on another one next time I'm in Berlin.

Pro tips to keep the party going:
1. Ask for recommendations afterwards, and then actually go to the recommendations!! Dov was kind enough to provide a variety of them, and they were killer. So incredibly good, and consistently better than the spots I picked based off my own research.

2. Pay attention to your surroundings and take notes of things that you want to come back to. I was able to come back and pick up some beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces at some boutiques were passed, but I would have never found those places, if not for this tour.

Gene here. I have come across this comparison once or twice in my life / every second day. So i am his double and as such we must further represent the world of food (and not only chocolate). Delighted you loved journey through Berlin's food scene while hearing the story of Berlin culture through its food. For us it was a pleasure having someone as enthusiastic as yourself on tour, very much appreciated and enjoyed! Keep eating and hope to see you on our new Fork & Walk Tour in Munich!

We were treated to a fantastic combination of local history and food by our three very knowledgeable and welcoming guides Dov, Violetta and Sebastian. We highly recommend this tour, especially for your first day in Berlin, it's a fantastic introduction to the city - just make sure you come along with an empty stomach because they definitely know all the best places to find delicious food!

I cannot recommend Fork & Walk Tours more highly!

I originally booked the Main Sights tour for my boyfriend and me on a whim while searching for fun things to do in Berlin. Unfortunately the tour was cancelled on short notice but Dov (the founder and manager) sent me a personal email apologizing for the inconvenience and offered the option to book us a private tour. He was very responsive and helpful in working out the logistics.

The tour was exactly what I hoped for and more. Jane, our guide, took us through the streets of Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte, stopping at various sights along the way including Mauerpark, the Kulturbrauerei and the Berlin Wall Memorial. The tour was a nice balance of touristy and off-the-beaten-path and the food was amazing and really gave us a *taste* of the rich diversity of Berlin's culinary traditions. Jane was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and offered a relaxed and delightful experience.

This was definitely not our last tour!
