Go beyond the main attractions of Berlin to discover its underground scene on this private 3-hour tour. With a guide, you'll explore some of the hippest areas of the city and hear stories about urban artists and neighborhoods where the locals live. One Club-Mate, a caffeinated German-made beverage, is included.
What to Expect
Your alternative Berlin tour starts by meeting your private guide at Hackescher Markt, from where you'll visit a courtyard that contemporary artists love. Learn about the history of this spot and the meanings of the art pieces here.

As you continue on, listen to your guide's stories about Berlin's neighborhoods, and stop by the 'Pink Man,' a graffiti piece by the artist Blu that protests the gentrification of parts of the city. Pass by the East Side Gallery, where international artists left their marks on pieces of the Berlin Wall; visit a small theater known for its 1970s flair; and experience a piece of local life as you enjoy a Club-Mate drink. Other sights include Haus Schwarzenberg, Kottbusser Tor, Gorlitzer Park, the Schlesi tower, 'Leviathan' by Blue, Oberaumbrücke, Urban Spree, RAW Tempel, and Intimes Kino.

Your tour ends near Boxhagener Platz, where you can enjoy the urban vibes of Berlin before saying goodbye to your guide and continuing the rest of your day on your own. Feel free to ask your guide any questions, as well. By the time you part ways, you'll have gained knowledge about Berlin's street art scene, trendy areas, and how the city's alternative side is changing.

Best tour in Berlin!

We were lucky to start our first day in Berlin with Betty. In such a different, ecclectic city, and us being there for the first time, Betty proved to be the best choice to guide us through. She knows a lot not only about history...More

Nailed it.

My husband and I were seeking a street view of Berlin--a plugged in tour of the sights and scenes with an historical spin. A tall order, right? Our tour guide, Miha, nailed it, even with heart and soul. An absolutely fantastic experience.

I wouldn’t have thought it was a problem but the guide may have to tailor what they showed you depending on the age of the children. Always contact the guide first to make your tour just how you want it. They normally get... More
