    Berlin through history and today.
The walk was long enough to cover a lot of ground without feeling stressed. Reuben did an excellent job, spoke clearly and really put things in perspective. He was able to touch on the very delicate history in an informative, yet humanizing way.

    A Great Walking Tour
I booked this tour in advance of our visit to Berlin, for a party of nine. The whole process was easy. We met with the tour guide, Roshana, at the meeting place. She was an excellent tour guide who knows her history. She explained everything really well and worked well with the group. She was knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend Roshana and Original Berlin Walks.

    Wonderful
I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone. There is a lot of walking so if you are unable to walk and stand for a few hours, it would be very hard. It was incredibly incredibly informative. The historical sites are amazing to take in.

    Discover Berlin
Our “Discover Berlin” tour guide, Giles, was so knowledgeable about the history and main sights of Berlin. He did a great job engaging a sizable, diverse crowd with different interests and paces in a nearly 3.5 hour tour, made more challenging by the rollerbladers’ Berlin Marathon! If you want to feel like you experienced much of what the city has to offer in just one day, this is a great tour for you. It’s point to point, beginning near Museum Island and ending at Checkpoint Charlie, with a brief stop for a snack and WC near the halfway mark.

    Best way to see Berlin
James was absolutely amazing, interesting, funny and unbelievably knowledgeable. He also showed incredible empathy and sincerity when discussing the tougher historical topics. The tour flew by and I’d do it all over again.

    Berlin History
Ben was our guide around the Third Reich tour. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw spots that were not obvious to the general person and Ben could elaborate about lots of history along the way. We were a small group which made the tour run smoothly. It was time well spent leaning about the Nazis in Berlin.

Highlight of our trip to Berlin!
This walking tour was absolutely brilliant. Our guide, Rona, was excellent - really informative & engaging; she told us so much about the history of this amazing city in an interesting manner that helps you understand more about Berlin. Good pace, fantastic stop points seeing the key locations. Really good way to orientate yourself in the city. Thoroughly recommend!!

    Berlin with Jenny .
This walking tour was the highlight of our time in Berlin and a great stepping stone for our discovery of Berlin over our stay here. Our guide was Jenny a young American girl. Her knowledge of Berlin’s history was vast. She presented in a very cheerful way but was still very sensitive and solemn when the discussion needed that. She asked questions of the group to involve us in the discussion. She was open to help people after the tour had ended for any questions people might have had. Thank you Jenny.

We had a lovely day visiting the pretty township of Potsdam and the interesting Sans Souci Palace, and learning about the history of these places with our knowledgeable and amicable guide.

Terrific coverage of a storied history
Berlin has so much history of interest but this tour did a great job of covering the 20th century. With a quick explanation of the 600 years prior, the rest of the tour focused on the lead ins to, and changes after, WW1, WW2, and the Cold War. Our tour guide, Rebecca, was fantastic. 100% would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the cities they visit, whether you already have a working knowledge of it or not.

    Walking Tour of Berlin
Excellent Tour…My husband and I are visiting Berlin for a week. The first day we took the commission based Walking Tour of Berlin through BE ORIGINAL Tours. Caroline was our guide and over the next 4.5 hours she led a group of us through key areas of interest throughout Berlin. This tour was a highlight for us and Caroline shared many insights and stories of the important sights with knowledge and humour. After the completion of the tour Caroline took the time to send out photos and recommendations of other sights/restaurants/events/bars and things of interest she thought the group would enjoy. 100% Above and beyond our expectations.

Sarah was our guide & really made this tour. She had excellent knowledge of history, was respectful & diplomatic in her commentary. The tour was a great introduction to Berlin & helped us to become oriented to the city’s major landmarks as well as providing a great overview of its history. Thanks Sarah.

I was a little worried about a 4hr walk around Berlin as I’m not the most active person.. however I was pleasantly surprised! Our tour guide was Nathan and he was great! He was American but was so passionate about German history that we truly came away from this tour feeling a great sense of achievement and like we understood more about WW1 & WW2, The Cold War and more! I would highly recommend this tour company as nothing is too much for Nathan - he truly made us feel welcome and the pace of the tour was great!

First, here’s my Executive Summary- This was a great tour. Our tour guide was Jonathan, who was extremely knowledgable about the relevant history. As an avid history buff, I was impressed with his depth and range. From the founding of the city through its reunification, he presented the story in a way that was insightful and engaging. And
he kept the attention of our 13 yr old daughter for the entire 4+ hours. The tour was well paced, and half way through (at Checkpoint Charlie) he gave us a 30 minute break which was much appreciated. I thought it was well paced, thoughtful and reflective. I have taken plenty of tours, and this tour will stand out as one of the best I have ever done.

We joined the tour to get the background for the sites to visit. Our guide was an American expat student and very knowledgeable of Berlin. The tour was worthwhile to understand the context of the sites.

We went in mid June on the 9:30am tour. By the end of the four hour tour, it was quite hot, 31C. Suggest to go earlier in the day to avoid the heat and also to double back to get a more in depth visit to the sites.

Lynsey was a fantastic guide on this 4 hour walking tour. Extremely knowledgeable. This is a great way to see the key historical sites in half a day; something we would have never achieved on our own. We learnt so much about the history of this city that we did not know already. Highly recommend! Very reasonably priced.
