    Brilliant Tour and Guide
Jorg was extremely informative and personable. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Berlin. It covered a good range of locations and even in the freezing winds 2 hours went by in a flash. Thank you for the experience!

    Excellent tour guide. Highly recommended!
Our visit to the concentration camp was deeply moving, and our guide played a significant role in making this an educational and respectful experience. They were incredibly knowledgeable, providing historical context with great sensitivity and care. Their ability to explain the events that took place here, while honoring the memories of those who suffered, was truly commendable. The guide created an environment where we could reflect and ask questions, helping us to understand the gravity of what we were witnessing. Their thoughtful approach ensured that this difficult history was conveyed with dignity and respect. This tour was an eye-opening and humbling experience that I believe everyone should have, and I’m grateful to our guide for their professionalism and compassion throughout. Highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking to learn and pay their respects.

    Well Worth Doing
I did the tour today with my wife and adult daughter. We are very glad we did the tour. Not a happy time in history. Our guide Hannah was excellent and really added an extra dimension to the visit. Full of empathy and she struck the right note on subjects which are not easy to talk about. The day ran very smoothly and is exactly as described. Thanks Hannah!

We booked just one day before on a read review. All the major sites had been seen and a different view of berlin was what we saught. Nicolai was an informative interesting guide. His stories and tales of where we were standing and what actually permeated at the time was interesting. As he said himself there may have been information overload but you came away with a different insight. The city of Berlin is diverse, picturesque and seeped in a history that confronts and makes you sit up. We were even heckled on our talk at one stop but thats berlin it has many sides.i would definitely recommend this as the sites alone do not give a full picture of the 1920/30 without this insight.

Chloe was an absolutely excellent guide.
She offered a wealth of factual information but also brought events to life with some personal stories and anecdotes.
She delivered the material in a wholly appropriate manner - somber when necessary - but also with humour to lighten the mood when the occasion arose.
The group was mixed age, mixed race, mixed gender, mixed ability and Chloe was professionally able to deliver the tour at an appropriate level to cater for all needs.
It was a cold wet miserable day but Chloe captivated us all.
I would highly recommend her as a guide for this tour.

My wife and I, along with another couple of friends, did the 3rd Reich Berlin Hitler &WW11 Insider Tour in English, yesterday. Our guide was Ronan who comes from Kerry in Ireland and as an Irishman, he made us all proud to be Irish. He was absolutely brilliant and provided a non-stop commentary for four hours on a fascinating topic. His knowledge of the history of WW2 is simply fantastic and we all got the impression he could go on for hours longer. Everyone clearly were very impressed by Ronan. Well done and great value walking tour.

We did this tour our first day in Berlin, and it was a great way to get a feel for the city, as well as learn more about one of the darkest periods in world history. Marie was an awesome guide, so knowledgeable. I was a European history major and still learner a lot. We found it to be really well organized, informative, and great value for money. Wish we'd had time to do some of their other tours.

We pre-booked with Insider Tours after reading the great reviews and we were not disappointed!

The meeting point was easy to find and we received a friendly welcome from the representative. We were then assigned to a group led by Maria who was, quite simply BRILLIANT! She gave us so much information along the route of the tour, but in an engaging way that was easy to listen to and absorb. We took our 13 year old daughter on the tour and were slightly worried she would get bored, but she enjoyed the tour very much and learned so much about the war and the Third Reich.

I would highly recommend Insider Tours from the experience we had and would definitely use them again for another tour if we visit Berlin.

Many thanks to Maria in particular for her wonderful knowledge and friendly service. She answered all questions very comprehensively and was helpful with the city transport systems too.

This is a must do tour to see and understand the sites from Nazi WW2 in Berlin. The sites are spread around, in many cases not well marked or preserved as tourist sites. Jan was a great guide, professionally trained in the subject, passionate about sharing it, and enthusiastic and personable. Add all this up making a Great tour on a nice early Spring day, when I needed cheering up. (I took this tour while stuck in Germany on March 16, due to Coronavirus, uncertain when I’d get back to US, and other tours and venues all canceling). I’m so grateful this tour was not canceled. We all observed proper social distancing and responsible awareness of the virus concerns. Thank you Jan. At the end of the tour, he took the time to point me to a good route to see a nice piece of the Berlin Wall, a park with lots of English explanations, not a mile from my hotel.

Fantastic walking tour. Our guide Maria was brilliant. I couldn’t believe how much interesting information she had inside her head! The tour was a good mix of walking, stopping for talks, one train ride (you’ll need a ticket before you start the tour), one bus ride (use the same all-day ticket as for the train), one 30 minute break in the middle for some lunch, and then a finish at the remains of the Berlin Wall. If you’re interested in the history of the Third Reich then I would thoroughly recommend it.

It was a really educative tour. We visited many city spots of historic significance. Our tour guide Nikolai was excellent. He provided a lot of information on the history of Nazi Germany as well as on the city's past and present in general and shared with us some relatively unknown stories. He also gave us tips on what is worth visiting in Berlin. I strongly recommend this tour if you are interested in history.

The tour was good and the guide well informed. The locations however let it down. No visit to Wilhelmstraße where the entire third reich resided - both the old and new chancellery buildings, the ministry Rudolph Hess ran, finance and foreign ministry and even the Luftwaffe HQ which still stands today as it did when it was orchestrating the blitz.

No visit to the Niederkirchnerstraße where the SS and Gestapo were housed and where the Topography of Terror museum is (inc. a large section of the Berlin Wall). Nothing in Potsdamerstrasse either where the Sportspalast which held many rallies and speeches was and where many of the civil war battles of the 1920’s between the freikorp (SA precursor) and communist brigades took place.

No highlighting of the Lustgarten as a major rally spot, nor the Bebelplatz off Unter der Linden where the infamous book burning outside the university took place and Goebbels made a speech that night.

Instead we stood in a park for half an hour and were taken to a couple of rather underwhelming memorials for various victims of the regime and a man who tried to assassinate Hitler.

I’d still recommend going at the very cheap price and is nice to be shown parts of the city you might otherwise not have known with a good host but as far as a Third Reich tour goes, significant improvements could be made to the locations.

I would suggest to anyone to make note of these places mentioned, particularly the Wilhelmstraße. An hour stroll down there, right at the former air ministry down the road the topography of terror is situated on and then up postdamer is a real Nazi germany tour you can do by yourself

Happy travels!

Dear reviewn472, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the tour. We appreciate your detailed feedback and are glad to hear that you found the guide well-informed and the overall tour experience enjoyable. We understand your disappointment regarding the specific locations covered during the tour, especially the absence of significant sites such as Wilhelmstraße, Niederkirchnerstraße, Potsdamerstrasse, Lustgarten, and Bebelplatz. We apologise for not meeting your expectations in terms of showcasing key historical spots related to the Third Reich. Your suggestions for including these sites in the tour are valuable, and we will certainly take them into consideration for future improvements. We aim to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience for our participants, and your input helps us refine our offerings. We're pleased to hear that you still see value in the tour, particularly at its affordable price, and appreciate the opportunity it provides to explore parts of the city that may not be commonly known. We hope that despite the limitations of this particular tour, you were able to gain insights into the historical context of the era. Thank you once again for your thoughtful review, and we hope to have the opportunity to enhance our Third Reich tour based on your valuable suggestions. Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future. All the best MIguel
