Very in depth tour
Looked at all tours around Berlin but after looking on trip advisor went with Inside Tour which would take us around the sights we wanted to see.
Our tour guide Lynsey was great even with the really bad weather (the worse storm for years) Lynsey kept the tour moving and presented all the information and more in the rain.
And the sun came out at the end.

Thanks Lynsey for a great tour.

Perfect way to see main points of interest in Berlin!

I felt lucky to have Thomas as our guide as he clearly has an extreme passion for history; unlike many guides, he is a literal historian and archaeologist!

Thomas made the tour extremely informative and engaging with all sorts of details beyond the basic facts. He included funny anecdotes about various historical figures and generally demonstrated a good sense of humour which made this tour more enjoyable for me as I can sometimes find these types of tours quite dry.

Thomas is American (although has lived in Berlin for a long time) so his English was of course impeccable. He spoke with good volume and clarity so everyone could hear.

In addition to being an excellent and informative guide, Thomas showed care for the group as it was a hot day and he managed everyone's needs well, e.g. choosing shady spots to stop whenever possible. He was available at the end of the tour for questions and to provide extra information if desired.

I highly recommend this tour if you want an introduction to some of the main points of interest in Berlin!

This was a really great tour with loads of informative facts and funny asides. Our tour guide Ciaran was really fun and engaging and the whole thing ended with a rap recap of all we had heard. Highly recommend.

Best part of our visit
I’ve done 3 different “Inside” tours in various cities, and Brazil Maria D was just fantastic. History teachers like her make the best tour guides! She was informative, entertaining, explained not just the sights, but how they connect to our present times, and she went at a pace that allowed teenagers to grandparents to feel accommodated and welcomed. I wish we did this tour on day 1, but even on the last day, it left us with a much more positive impression than our previous “do it yourself” wandering approach. Our local friends were even impressed by how much we covered. I’d highly recommend this tour, and Maria! Thank you!

This was an excellent tour of the city, getting to see so many of the main sightseeing highlights and being given so many interesting facts along the way from our most excellent Brazilian guide Maria. She took us through the city’s history from the original founding of Germany right through to the modern era. Well worth the time and money.
Maria was also very helpful explaining the underground system to us afterwards, even going so far as taking us to one of the stations and guiding us through the ticketing process.

Interesting, Informative and Thought-Provoking

The trip was fantastic. It was our first morning in Berlin and we felt like we really got a sense of the history of the city and of the museums/monuments etc. that we would like to spend more time at. The guide was very friendly, extremely knowledgable and spoke excellent English.

Nice overview

Great walking tour to get an initial look at the city and some of the main historical sites. Don’t really recommend it in Winter, as standing outside for four hours is absolutely miserable. The route is well planned and covers quite a number of places without too much actual walking. The explanations were interesting but a bit too superficial, I feel. I left the tour knowing what each site was but not really feeling like I understood the history behind them or the city as much. I had hoped to learn more about Berlin, if that makes any sense. Still, our guide was super friendly and well-versed. Enjoyed the experience and would recommend!

A great tour of Berlin

On our first day in Berlin we joined an Insider tour led by Josh which gave us a really great introduction to the city. Josh proved to be a very knowledgeable and informative guide with lots of stories at his finger tips and a wealth of detailed historical information to share with us. We were very privileged just to be the two of us on the tour which really allowed for a lot more conversation and understanding of what we were looking at. He had some great tips for us about restaurants which we tried out later in the week. The tour gave us a good overview of what there was to see in Berlin and we then went back and visited some places in more detail during the rest of our stay.We really do recommend Josh as your guide!

Best walking tour

We booked "The Famous Walk" tour in December 2019 and really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Phil was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and he had us totally engaged from beginning to end of the tour. We were only in Berlin for a few days but gained a lot from this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Berlin. Thanks Phil and team at Insider Tour, this was a brilliant start to our stay in Berlin and one of the highlights of our holiday.
