    Knowledgeable Guide
As our Grandson is studying German history we thought this would be the perfect tour for him. It was. However, we also learned so much. We had visited Berlin and lots of its monuments and historical sights before but our guide Eran with his vast knowledge and local insights took us to and taught us about places that we had not only never visited before but never knew existed. Great tour!

Fantastic walking tour - jasper highly recommended -
Jasper was remarkable - I was worried about 3 hours of walking but it we r so fast because of Jaspers knowledge and staging. Jaspers language skills are better than mine as is his grasp of history. He was aware of Germany’s part without being apologetic - this tone was perfect. We saw everything a tourist would expect to see and I felt informed at the end. Highly recommended

This place is an absolute must see. We had Maria as our tour guide and she was brilliant at giving plenty of interesting facts, information and history.

She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Admission into the camp is free, but I would 100% recommend going with a tour guide as I learned so much from Maria that couldn’t be found on a plaque or an audio guide.

This place isn’t gory or scary, but it is quite unbelievable to experience the true horrors that really happened. This tour is one we were really glad we did, if you’re considering going - definitely go! Wear good walking shoes, wrap up warm and take a bottle of water & lunch with you.

My husband, son and I went on this tour over Christmas break. It was excellent. Our guide was Julian and he really knew the history of the camp. We met at the Zoo station. The staff helped us buy the ABC tickets and we also bought lunch there to bring with us (we didn’t stop anywhere for food once we got going). We took the train to the Hauptbanhof where we met other groups, took the regional train to the town of Orienburg and then walked about 20 minutes to the camp. Spent about 4 hours at the camp and then took the train back to Berlin. We were back at our hotel by about 4:30. This was probably the best value we have ever had for a guided tour. I’ve heard the story of Hitler’s rise to power many times, in many settings, but Julien really added to my knowledge and gave a lot of perspective that made the story relatable even for the teens. Don’t hesitate to sign up for it.

The tour was well organized, and our guide, Chloe, was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about the subject. With little comments and rethorical questions, it was not merely a recital of facts, but also a thought provoking process. The weather was wet and miserable on the day, which only emphasized the horrible conditions they must have endured during the war. Sadly, there was so much more to see and information to read than there was time for, but Chloe made sure we got the essential information about Sachsenhausen and the general back story around the camps. I would say that a tour of Sachsenhausen or any of the other concentration camps is pretty much mandatory when visiting.

Myself and my partner visited the sachsenhausen concentration camp with tour guide Chloe. Chloe really knew her stuff and fed lots of information to us throughout the tour. It was extremely cold at the camp so wrap up warm and take a bite to eat with you as there isn't much time to grab anything at the cafe. Chloe was both professional and friendly, even gave us a few pointers for places to eat and pubs to really get the feel of the real Berlin... Thank you pizza was great and pub you suggested wonderful ❤️

me and my partner decided to take the guided tour to sachsenhausen whilst in Berlin over the weekend, we met up with our guide Chloe who took us via train to the camp.

Chloe was not just very informative but she was extremely passionate about her job & answered all questions without ease or hesitation. We had planned on going solo before joining the tour and I’m very glad we chose not to in the end because without the knowledge passed on through Chloe I don’t think we would have experienced the tour in the same way. After the 3 hour tour we left feeling educated & further more curious to learn and have decided to visit further camps and can only hope that on our travels all of the future guides we encounter are just like Chloe! Once we arrived home we watched a film through our guides recommendation that really helped us to understand from the prisoners perspective what had happened in these camps, again a film we wouldn’t have encountered hadn’t it been for Chloe.

If you are planning a visit to Berlin, Sachsenhausen is a must see, giving a review on the camp alone isn’t necessary because I feel everyone will inherit it differently. I wouldn’t say you need to have vast knowledge in the ww2 before you visit because I’m positive if you use insider tours your guide providers will educate you along the way. Wrap up warm, take snacks & go in with a clear head. Big thanks to Chloe for taking our tour you have left us both eager to learn more and opened up new opportunities for us both to travel the world in doing so.

We had Josh as our guide, and he was absolutely fantastic! He kept the information interesting throughout the 6 hour day, and really knew what he was talking about. The camp itself was genuinely amazing, it’s hard to believe what happened within those walls. It was interesting to find this site had so much history when Auschwitz is the more well-known site, puts into perspective how many camps all have their own individual history. We are so glad we booked this tour, it is now the highlight of our 4 week European holiday! If you’re in Berlin, you have to do this tour! (Make sure you rug up in the winter as we found it was very cold and windy and you spend a lot of time outside!)

Visited sachsenhausen concentration camp with insider tour. Our tour guide Ronan was great, very knowledgable, approachable and good fun. He dealt well with the different needs in our mixed group and took time to answer our questions fully. Would completely recommend- a really low price for the service and expertise given. Thank you Ronan!

Very informative and fun tour. Our tour guide (Walid) showed us a wide range of locations and gave a great background on the city which helped me make sense of the culture and history of Berlin, whilst also being entertaining a pleasant to all on the tour. We had the berlin welcome card so the tour was only ten euros. The east side meeting point was also super easy to find.

Sachsenhausen concentration camp was a moving and I believe valuable experience for my wife and I. I would definitely recommend a visit to a concentration camp to clearly understand the depths mankind will go through for power and control over others. There was a logistical issue and a weather issue outside the control of our guide, however there were a couple things he could have done to make our experience better. First. There is about a one mile walk from the end of the train line to the camp entrance. Our group was very diverse with young and old alike. Our guide basically left a portion of the group that walked slower even after being asked a number of times to please slow down. Secondly, he seemed to not connect well with his group. If you weren’t able to keep up moving through the rain at the camp, you missed portions of his narrative which became rather frustrating. Overall his knowledge of the subject matter was very good and he projected when he could so that the group could hear him clearly. Overall the site was worthwhile, the tour guide should have been more responsive to his clients.

A fantastic tour and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin. Sarah was our guide and what fantastic knowledge of the history of the camp she had. She was brilliant. She took us from Berlin city out to Sachsenhausen by train and gave us a lot of background information before we left the city. Her knowledge of the camp was fantastic. She answered every question that was asked of her and gave us a very real insight into life in the camp during the war. She even recommended movies that were based on the camp. The camp itself was cold but the way the memorial is designed and displayed gives a very good idea of how things were. Some of the original buildings remain but a lot is reproduced and we were made aware of this. This is to give us a better idea of how things were. Sarah also gave a great insight into how the camp was run, who was running it and how it was for both the prisoners and the guards who worked there.
