About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Exploration5609750 contributionsExtraordinary Guide!Sam was an extraordinary guide! His knowledge of Berlin was impeccable. He explained things in a way that grabbed your attention and that was easy to understand. I highly recommend Sam as a tour guide!Written September 15, 2024
- Daddy0090 contributionsWet and wild, but greatCeri was excellent, in very trying weather conditions. She went out of her way to make sure that we had fun, even though it was quite rainy and blustery. She took care of us, keeping us safe, while giving us a thorough history lesson. When one beergarten fell through, she found a suitable replacement.Written September 14, 2024
- haydonty0 contributionsA great day exploring berlinExcellent tour at a steady pace for everyone. Nick was our guide and was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and informative. The bikes were basic but they do the job well. Berlin has loads of cycle lanes so when on the roads it felt safe. After the tour we paid a bit extra and hired the bikes for the rest of the day. Definitely recommendWritten September 11, 2024
- Yuna Y0 contributionsFunny and relaxing tourOur guide Rhys was funny and knowledgeable. He checkup regularly to make sure everyone follows the group. Its a relaxing bike tour to learn and take in the sightsWritten September 9, 2024
- 382murrayn0 contributionsWorth it... but could be improved.Pros: This was a great way to start our time in Berlin. We were shown some of the major attractions and given enough information to know where to come back to. The biking wasn't too strenuous, and our guide (Nick) was considerate in finding shaded areas when we stopped and made sure no-one got left behind. Also all employees of this company were native english speakers which made it easy to communicate. Cons: Some of our guide's knowledge on specific details wasn't quite right - which we discovered after the tour when we went back to museums. There were also some questions that he didn't know the answer to, that we felt a guide should know. Overall still worth doing, and a very considerate and friendly guide - but just be aware that some of the more specific details might not quite be right.Written September 6, 2024
- Kate D0 contributionsGreat bike tour in BerlinWe were looking forward to learning some history about Berlin as a first time visitor. We thought the best way was a bike tour as we have done in other cities as it covers a lot of ground in the three hours allocated. This did not disappoint, in fact it was probably one of the best we have done. Thanks to our guide Sam for a great insight into Berlin’s history across the centuries. Highly Recommend.Written September 5, 2024
- hannahcR4374IO0 contributionsLoved this bike tour and Nick was awesome!I loved this tour! Our guide, Nick, was extremely informative and was able to answer everyone's questions. The history of Berlin is SO interesting and you can tell that Nick was very well educated on everything and was passionate about the history himself. I think a bike tour is the perfect way to see the city because you can get everywhere much faster than walking and are able to stop and talk unlike a bus tour. I would highly recommend!Written September 1, 2024

- Stanowar0 contributionsFat Tire bike tourJust finished our 6 hour tour of Berlin with our awesome guide Thor who made our cycle tour a brilliant way to experience the history of Berlin. This tour is easy riding with plenty of stops and a nice lunch stop. This is my 3rd time doing this tour over a 15 year period and every time it’s been the highlight of the trip. The tour was very interesting and informative hitting all the major points of interest in the center of the city. The section where we stopped by the parliament and got a run down of all the various groups protesting etc. was particularly interesting. Also the tour guide looked like littlefinger from game of thrones, which was fun.

Our guide Nate gave us an excellent tour of the city! Even in cold and grey weather the trip was great. We learned a lot about the city and its recent (and not so recent) history. I'd really recommend this as one of the first activities to do when you arrive in Berlin, as you leave it with a really great overview of the most famous sites and history.

Well worth doing!! We booked the City Bike Tour on the first day of our visit…and it was a brilliant way to orientate ourselves to Berlin. The tour was in English - and Alicia our guide (who was Canadian) was extremely knowledgeable and made the 6 hr tour really fun and engaging. We learned loads…and the bike tour gave us the confidence to hire bikes for the rest of our visit. Exploring Berlin by bike is easily the way to go!

This was a wonderful way to see all the key highlights in Berlin and learn about the historical significance. So much rich history too around World War II and the Cold War. We had a small group of just 6 people. Our guide Nathan was so informative. He really made history come to life in such an interesting way. The lunch stop at the Biergarten was also very good. They did accept credit card. The six hours went by very quickly and the longest stretch we rode was for was 8-10 minutes at a time. We had a couple of quick stops at key building mixed with longer stops where it warranted more time like the Checkpoint Charlie stop which was very interesting. Nathan outdid himself here explaining the Berlin Wall and use of the checkpoints. That stop also allowed us to run into a cafe to grab a drink or snack and use the restroom. Berlin is a very big city and the bikes allowed us to see more in a condensed time. The bike paths are all well marked and it was generally all flat. Very easy day out on a bike. We all enjoyed it very much.

We did the Berlin City (6.5 hour) bike tour with Nate and it was great. Our guide had great insight at all the locations we visited, answered every question everyone had, was friendly, kept track of all us tourists, and had great stops allowing us to learn a lot about the history of the city and provided great recommendations of things to see and places to go once the tour was done. I would recommend this tour and Nate as tour guide to anyone, so much fun and a great beer garden for lunch!

The city bike tour give a very good overview of the city in 6 hours. We went trough most of the sights oh Berlin. Cycling in the city was quite easy, a very nice experience. Our guide, Rhys, was great, he definitively contributed to the succès of this visit. He provided very good explanation of the context and history of Berlin, adding less known stories, and all this with sense of humour. Highly recommended to discover Berlin.

The bike tour was a great way to pass the day and learn more about the history of Berlin. Although a six hour bike tour sounds somewhat excessive, it meant the group could take our time and properly check out the locations we stopped off at (and have a nice long lunch break). By the end of the tour, we had visited the majority of the sites on our itinerary, while also getting additional insightful commentary. Dania, our tour guide, was very cheerful and extremely knowledgeable about the city. She also was kind enough to give recommendations of places to go in the city and answer my numerous questions about Berlin bars and clubs!

Took the tour as a solo traveler at the start of my visit to Berlin. Our guide Binta was very knowledgeable of the city and a well traveled person. She did a good job in shepherding us around and helping us learn about some of the key points in the city. Berlin is very easy to bike in. The tour went by pretty fast despite part of it raining on and off for half of it. Glad I did it and saw much more than I would have via a walking tour.

I went for the 6 hour Berlin City Bike Tour and had such a great time. My guide was Thor, and he was simply amazing, you can tell the people like him who work there know their stuff and are very lovely kind people. We saw all the sights, learnt so much and the city bikes are r surprisingly very comfortable, I wish my bike at home was like that! I didn't want the tour to end, it was that good. Recommend to everyone.

Did the 6 hour tour on our first day in Berlin. Teens took a bit of persuading beforehand on the 6 hour thing but the weather was kind we only had minor grumbles to start with… but in the end we all had a great time. Sam, the guide, was superb: really knowledgeable and engaging. The pace was set just right and we felt like we got a really good overview of the whole city. The time went quickly, good break for lunch and we learned lots too. Bikes were fine and the roads never felt dangerous.
A great way to start any visit to Berlin.

Hello! What distance is covered for the 6.5 Hour tour? Is it strenuous biking for someone who is in adequate shape?
Written September 25, 2019
I did the six hour tour. The city is flat and there are numerous stops on the way round including a stop for lunch. Traffic is not a problem as the cars give way to you round the city. You start and finish by the large TV tower in the centre. Give it a go, I am in my id fifties and totally unfit yet did this with no problem.

Hi,
Can you please advise what is the general amount of tip/gratuity that is given?
Written September 17, 2019
Entirely up to you. 10% is my guideline and I’ve seen some participants who don’t. No right or wrong amount.... just what feels right is my take. Most of these guides are salaried and that is based on the # of groups they lead so I Guess you could also say it’s in your fee payment.

Hi, I was wondering if you allow/have had any pregnant women on your tours?
I'll be about 20 weeks at the time i intend to take this tour. I'm quite an active person, and confident on a bike.
Best,
