Fantastic introduction to Potsdam with our guide Jasmine. She shared so much history and information not just about Potsdam and its palaces but also about Prussia, the German empire, post 1919 and the old war. She is Berlin born and bred. Although only 4 hours we saw and learnt a lot. Next time we will stay in Potsdam as well as Berlin in order to see and enjoy more.

Over rated restaurant with really poor service and very pedestrian food. It’s clear that food is not a priority, the view is. Unfortunately the tables are in twos so if you are not at the window seat then you might as well sit at a street level cafe. Please insist on a window seat, if you plan to visit the restaurant for a meal. Otherwise save yourself the hassle and just go up the tower to the viewing platform.

Very informative and enjoyable tour of Potsdam and Sanssousis palace. Yasmeen was a great guide. There was an audio guide inside the palace but our tour guide provided additional information before and after. I was so glad I opted for the tour rather than going to the palace on my own.

Had a great time on this tour, Jasmine was a fantastic and fun tour guide. We had a mix of English and German speakers that day, so she repeated everything in both languages. The bilingual tour was really pleasant and it never felt like she had to skip anything. (I enjoyed continuing to practice my German comprehension.) The tour was exactly as described: a comfortable bus, a nice mix of sitting and walking (really not too much walking by tourism standards). The Sanssouci palace was nice, you basically just walk through the rooms with the audio guide (which you can listen to on your own phone with your own headphones; very comfortable), so you spend about 45 minutes inside the palace. It seemed like the perfect amount of time to see the rooms. For the drive to Potsdam, the walk around the gardens, and the drive back, Jasmine entertained us with a mix of history, cultural context, and general amusement. Some of the reviews here on TripAdvisor clearly are for the wrong tour — there was no lunch break, there were just a couple very short breaks overall. It was well-paced and a great value. We were really happy we chose this tour!

Very disappointed with the tour, you spend hours in a bus to be there for an hour and half. The day experience Potsdam but you don’t. You see the Palace and the garden. Get there by train on your own and enjoy the whole day. Our day was waisted on this tour. The tour leader new her stuff and I high commend her on the knowledge but that’s it.

The Sanssouci Palace really beautiful, a lot of history, the guide really nice, comfortable bus, the bus was right on time, tour right to the point

We spent a week in Berlin to see the Berlin marathon and spend the other days sightseeing. On one of those days we travelled out to Potsdam and did the Hop on/Hop off bus tour. We are an older couple so the bus tour was a good way to see Potsdam's sights which are quite spread out. It was superb to be able to hop off at our chosen locations, have a wander round and then get back on the next bus. Potsdam is beautiful and the parks and palaces very scenic. The bus tour was, for us, the perfect way to see a lot of Potsdam.

I was too late to book the walking tour I wanted, but this was an excellent alternative. I only had half a day in Potsdam, and the Hop On Ho Off was exactly what I needed. My priority was the WWII history at Cecelienhoff Palace, so I spent most my time there. But on the bus, I got a full tour of the city with interesting recorded narration. The driver was friendly, and the English -speaking official who sold me the ticket at the first stop gave me helpful tips for what to see after the bus route ended in the early evening. Plenty of seats with great views on the top deck.

Some comments here are reviewing another tour. It costs €54 and includes the journey to Potsdam from Berlin (Kurfürstendamm) by a Deutsche Bahn bus with a visit of the small Sans Souci Castle (audioguides provided) and a tour of the city (still by bus with very few stops). This is the most convenient way to visit Potsdam as there are no direct public transports from Berlin to the Potsdam Sans Souci Castle. Even thought we stayed mainly inside the bus during the tour of the city, that was also practical occasion to see other sites of Potsdam. The comments in German and in English during the whole trip in the bus were very instructive. The guide did ask us at first if there were English speakers so she would know in which languages she had to speak. I totally recommend this tour.

Very interesting and informative. Good transport provided. Guide was good fun and knowledgeable. Not too much walking involved for those that don’t want to!

We were English, with no German. The tour guide spoke entirely in German, with full volume, which drowned out the English language audio tour. We were not instructed on the use of the audio-guide, but eventually figured it out, but could not increase the volume. We visited all we wanted to see, but would have liked more information about it.

We were sold tickets costing nearly 50 euros and told we could have a drink once finished looking around, roughly 45 mins, however after 30 mins of being packed out with too many people, not wearing masks and so hot 🥵 we left! We could not have a drink either as the bars were closed!

Value for money but misleading as to language: thé guide spoke German and referred for English to an audioguide

We took the train at Berlin Hauptbanhof. It's a nice trip to Potsdam. Then you take a comfortable bus to (in our case) the Sanssouci Palace. We enjoyed this amazing place with the audio guide. We could visit the splendid gardens as well. After that we walked our way back to the station going through the historic city. This is a highly recommended tour to complement your experience in Berlin!
