- 424nkoch0 contributionsGreat Tour and Knowledgable Tour GuidesThis was a great tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was willing to customize the tour to our interests. I would have done additional tours with the group if I had not already had plans for my other days in Munich. I will definitely be using this group on future trips to Munich with my family. Strongly recommend this to anyone!Written August 27, 2024
- P1550EXjanes0 contributionsNympenburg PalacePaul is an amazing guide. Our visit to the Nymphenburg Palace was both informative and entertaining. All 6 in our group loved the visit and highly recommend Paul mWritten August 23, 2024
- 111Scotty77770 contributionsRafael was a wonderful guideWe had a wonderful morning exploring Munich with tour guide Raphael. He was funny, interesting and really brought the history to life! We learnt facts and discovered places we would have never found on our own. I wish we had more time to explore this beautiful city - and if we had, or if we ever come back, I will always choose another tour with this brilliantly charming chap.Written August 16, 2024
- D9854RRsteveb0 contributionsExcellent, in-depth tour with a wonderful guide. Highly recommended.I don’t normally take guided tours but this was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Freya, was truly knowledgeable about everything: including details of the palace construction, the stories of the Bavarian rulers, the culture, even the manufacturing of the porcelain. The tour group was only me and my family and Freya went out of her way to tailor this experience for us and gave us great tips for the rest of our Munich visit. This was a solid five hour visit for us. A three hour guided of the Palace (including carriage and porcelain collection) and another two hours strolling around the palace grounds on our own. Highly recommended.Written July 28, 2024
- Wander397275479310 contributionsHighly recommended Altstadt tour! DO IT!My wife and I scheduled a private tour with Genny and it was WONDERFUL! She asked us our specific interests (architecture, city history & churches) and Genny focused on those as we walked through the altstadt. Her ability to remember details was amazing and her depth of knowledge about virtually every architectural detail was deep. At one point I pointed to a building with an interesting facade and asked if she knew anything about it. 10 minutes later she was still talking about details, previous owners/businesses that had occupied it, and how much damage was done during WW2. Incredible! We highly recommend any of Paul Riedel’s tours - this was our 2nd and each was worth many times what we paid. THANK YOU!Written July 25, 2024
- Wander397275479310 contributionsDO IT! Fantastic Tour!Paul gave my wife and I a FANTASTIC “beer and beer garden tour”, unlike any other we’ve had. Before the tour began he asked a little about our interests and what we had already seen, then custom-designed one especially for us. Unlike a standard “brewery” tour where you go into a bunch of breweries and taste their offerings, Paul told us the history of beer in Bavaria from 1040 A.D. to present, and related it’s development to Bavarian history. He then showed us where the breweries were located and culminated the tour in the Beer Museum, where he used his sommelier training to introduce us to an entirely NEW way of experiencing beer. We were skeptical at first of some of his ideas but trusted his experience and it truly opened our eyes to a whole new way to taste beer. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Oh, and Paul being a super-friendly and humorous guy is icing on the cake!Written July 25, 2024

- chris920090 contributionsGreat intro tour to Munich for history lovers! This was great to get a real scope of the old town. It helped us to understand with our guide sybille how the expansion and rebuilding of the city over time has shaped today’s skyline. Simply amazing!Written June 7, 2024
- chris920090 contributionsExcellent time for education and fun! This was not only fun to learn about the different types beer and food that compliments each type but Sybille was great! We enjoyed the museum tour especially showing the history of breweries and Oktoberfest but puts it all together in a small museum.Written June 7, 2024
- KDSlay0 contributionsEnjoy a beer and a pretzel in a Munich beer garden. The 1 pretzel and 1 beer was good. We learned you can add apple juice to your beer. It was nice to see where the Oktoberfest takes place.Written June 2, 2024

- fuentepd0 contributionsSunday FundayThis tour is one of our highlights of many in the beautiful city of Munich. The day started gray kool and light drizzle. First of all prior to meeting Paul, my wife and I had a great breakfast Rosi on Rosenheimer Str. near our hotel. We headed out to meet Paul at Karlstor where the party was just beginning. With time to spare we stopped at Augustiner Stammhaus for some drinks and unbeknown to us live music. People dancing eating and drink Munich authentic food and my favorite beer. Finally we met Paul, who was happy to start the tour by explaining the Karlstor area and historical significance. We began to walk the old town area and Paul explained the architectural history and influence of buildings. The tour continued through the city which is spectacular and made several stops at the beautiful churches along the area. Paul’s incredible knowledge of history and facts is what made the tour spectacular. Me being a history buff and Paul’s brilliant perspective really tied everything I had learned about Munich. Paul also showed us some great cafe’s which we even stopped to have my favorite double espresso and my wife’s favorite cafe Americano. Great cafe. At the excitement of my wife Paul also showed us some great shopping locations which ended our tour. Paul we love to thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we are so humble that you could spend a Sunday afternoon showing us the the beautiful city of Munich. We highly recommend Paul’s tour.Written February 13, 2024
- Sharie94710 contributionsBeer like you've never tasted before! This was such a fun tour. First he greeted us with a gingerbread cookie that smelled phenomenal. Next, we went to the Beer Museum, not at all what I was anticipating. Paul taught us different ways to drink beer. I am not a drinker, but when he put the apple juice into the beer, it tasted completely different. Then he added water and it changed it again. The last thing was an espresso type addition. That I didn't care for at all, but I do not drink coffee. But I will try the apple juice with beer again! Following that he took us to another place, I think it's name was Atles Hackerhaus, where we enjoyed food (sausages, sauerkraut, or potato salad and apple streudel), and very interesting conversation. He paired us with other Americans and we had a lot in common with them. Paul is a great host and I highly recommend his tours! He also took us on a tour of the Nymphenburg Palace, which I reviewed separately. Awesome guide!!Written January 10, 2024

- Sharie94710 contributionsChariots await you! This was a highlight. So much to see and absorb in the castle I loved seeing the chariots and the porcelain display. We got a bonus because the garden area was open so we got to see the fountain and Magdalena house (church). Very informative and worth your time. Paul is a wealth of knowledge! He went above and beyond for us. He even showed us how to use public transportation. He suggested a different tour for us later in the day. He took us to a place to exchange our dollars for euros at s much cheaper rate. He makes you want to soak up every second one visits in Munich! Very nicely done!Written December 21, 2023
