    Nice place, mediocre tour. Rushed
Cons: -PRICE: 80 bucks plus they drop the admission fee for both the palace and castle mid ride, 37 dollars extra. Plus the food is pricey at these places. In all, you’ll probably spend around 130 a person on this trip because of all the random fees. So they surprise bomb you with prices. TO SAVE MONEY AND TIME: I suggest renting a car for a day, it’s cheaper. But this place is always out of tickets, so you’ll have to book in advance to see the interior about a month or so. -Not all tour guides are equal, ours could barely speak the language selected for the tour, our friends had an amazing guide. -TIME it is rushed through each place, even Neuschwanstein. You don’t really get to enjoy or see the areas, just get the social media photos. And the viewpoint for Neuschwanstein can take upwards of 40 minutes just standing waiting. So I suggest for a tour just going to Neuschwanstein and dedicating time there and seeing the museum and other castle in that same location which Ludwig’s family stayed at. Pros: -It’s gorgeous. I think this goes without saying as it’s one of Germany’s most popular destinations. The story of the castle and palace are also super interesting. -multiple destinations means you always are doing something even if it is stressful rushing.

    Great Tour
Absolutely amazing tour. Elisabeth was a great guide and made sure we had a very full experience at the Obersalzberg and The Eagles Nest. One of the best day trips I've ever done.

Brilliant few hours visiting FC Bayern Munich
This tour of the FC Bayern Munich football ground and museum is really worth a few hours, especially if you have any footy fans. It is super simple to book direct on the clubs website and at €25 it is significantly cheaper than going on an organised trip. The U6 train goes direct to the stadium and it is a 5min walk from the station. You wait inside for your tour to start at the allocated time and the guide then takes you around the stadium etc.

    Great Adventure!
Elisabeth and Errol (driver) were a wonderful team. Elisabeth was a fount of knowledge, answering all of our questions, and offering a lot of interesting information. AND she kept the group moving on a timely basis and made it look easy. The trip fulfilled the promise as advertised when I signed our group up. We did the VIP option and I appreciated the space and smaller group.

Great tour and guide, well worth the extra cost
Great tour. Guide Ursula entertained us with stories of Bavaria and Ludwig all day and was knowledgeable enough to suggest we alter our itinerary on a busy Sunday which meant we did not miss any of the essential sights. Being a small group allow for flexibility. Exceeded my expectations, chairs are single armchair on Each Side of the aisle. Drinks and snacks provided. Unfortunately due to how busy it was there was not enough time to have a lunch stop, so most people grabbed a quick snack as taking time for lunch would have meant sacrificing an experience.

    Great tour, however weather dependent.
Breath taking views going up. Clear weather so could see peaks far away. On the way back weather was a let down but that took nothing away from the tour overall. Elizabeth was a very informed guide and kept us all engaged.

    Worth The Long Walk
My wife and I visited this Castle in June and were quite impressed with the tour. We purchased our tickets in advance although you can buy them onsite but you may not get the visit time you want. If you don't go through the barriers within a set time your tickets become invalid. Once inside you pick up your headset and it is set to your language. A guide then takes you around whilst you listen to the audio guide. The pace is not slow but just about right, no photos are allowed on the tour. The architecture is fantastic and well worth the visit. If you don't use the horse and carriage available from the town be aware it is a long hard slog up a steep hill.

    A regrettable trip
I booked a bus tour to Konigsee and Saltmine and received an email just around 10 hours before the trip that it was cancelled. The email has not explained why or initiated any alternative. They didn't even make me a call in such short notice situation. Now a month past, i still have not received a refund. This was my family trip and my son was disappointed. Actually so do i and my wife. If anyone wants a secure trip, don't take this one.

    Just a bus ride
I took this tour to show my father in law around, who was visiting from out of town. We took the express tour, which was fine as it hit the most important sights, but the audio guide was basically non existent. Since it’s a prerecorded guide, I expected it to provide information on all sights we passed, but instead it turns on randomly and half of the sights didn’t get mentioned. We could have just taken the trolley instead.

A great day out from Munich
The tour runs like clockwork. Our guide and our choffeur, Hannae and Joseph, knew exactly what to do and what to advise at every stop. The history behind the castles and the castles themselves are truly fascinating. A great day indeed.

    Beautiful day
We enjoyed our day! It was beautiful and Nancy, our tour guide, did an exceptional job with clear directions and check ins. (I would suggest for the bus driver- especially those of us upstairs on a hot day- to not automatically shut off the engine when parked as it got really hot upstairs. He was always kind though & turned it back on when asked. Also- perhaps ask passengers to close the curtains on a sunny day when we leave the bus for a tour. It will help with heat when we return)

    Absolutely incredible!
Absolutely incredible! Our guide Elisabeth was very knowledgeable about the entire visit to the eagles near and Berchtesgaden and the surrounding area. The scenery from Munich was incredible and very enjoyable. Tour group was about 50 people. Not horrible at all and we had plenty of time to explore the area. Luckily the weather was perfect so we could really take in all of the beauty. Definitely worth it!

After 5 minutes in the bus I realized it’s a big mistake the bus Audio has almost nothing to listen to , very basic information with less to see on the way as well.

The total duration of the express line is almost 30 minutes which we could have don’t it walking without paying a lot of money for almost nothing and
The grand tour has only additional two attraction the Nymphenburg palace and to The Olympic park /BMW museum which also you can go with public transportation and save 25€ for the ticket .

I have to pay €100 for family of 5 so I insisted to complete the tour on the bus while the kids were really bored and they were begging to cut the trip short and leave .

the bus always late and crowded and this this the good part of my experience as the worst was still to come
My second bus was from the Nymphenburg palace to The Olympic park and the bus driver his name maybe (Shane ) not sure as he refused to tell me his name when I asked and he don’t have a name tag or company ID
It was raining at this time and the driver was driving as he was on race not on a tour and we asked him to close the window as it started to get wet inside but the answer was no and he stopped the bus three times whenever there is a noise from the tourists and he asked my kids to be quite when they were laughing together he was really rude and unprofessional and I will never do this trip again and I recommend everyone not to do it ,
it’s a waste of money and time

Have used these in lots of different cities and they are usually really reliable and a good way to get around the city easily. Here, however, they were unreliable. On more than one occasion the bus was late and we found ourselves standing at the bus stops for up to 45mins!! When the buses did arrive often two arrived at once and there was a lot of unnecessary fuss moving passengers from one bus to another e.g. when we were changing from the city tour to the Olympic park tour so we were told to get off and change to another bus and then after waiting on that bus for 5 minutes we were then told to get off and go back into the bus we’d just been on etc. By this time the bus was departing much later than it’s stated time.

By the end of the two days I was fed up and annoyed. There are some cities in which this is totally worth the money but here, because the trains and so cheap and reliable, you’ll save yourself loads of time and hassle just making your way around the city yourself!

It's an ok ride.

But we sat downstairs, only 3 of us downstairs, in the back of the bus, talking.
And the guy on the microphone turns around and tells us not to talk, when he is speaking (which is all the time). So we ended up sitting there feeling like we had to be quiet.

We used Hop…to get to Marienplatz and enjoyed those sites, then continued on to the route beginning, and before departing to the castle, I wanted to be sure we would have time to tour before the last bus back. The driver repeated 3X that the last bus from the castle was at 17:30. That gave us over 2 hours to tour, but to be safe we just did a quick walk thru and returned to the stop at 16:15. Waited until 1750 and No Bus. Had to find our way via tram back to Central Station. Thanks to the help of strangers we got back.

Thank you very much for your feedback Judith. I am desolate to read about your negative experience which is not the regular level of our service. It is correct, our last bus is scheduled to depart from Nymphenburg Castle at 17:30 and having checked with our team, there have also not been any disruptions to our timetable last week.

Took the grand tour , it’s good if you are in the city for a short period of time…. But the staff are not friendly at all, they hardly speak English, not very helpful if you want to ask about pretty much anything . We were sitting alone on the lower deck & the driver didn’t like it that we were talking & commenting on the scenery. I don’t recommend

Would like for someone to contact us about a refund. Inside bus was unbearable due to air conditioning being broken. Driver told us we should complain as they fail to fix air. Sitting on top was not an option on 90 plus degree day. We had to abandon tour since it was way to hot in the bus. Also, narration didn’t match up with sites we were passing. Not at all happy.

There is no air-conditioner on a bus with open roof, like the same with boats. We are not responsible for the weather, we offer a very well planned tour with good drivers and affordable prices.

Very little commentary on loop one. No announcement of stop numbers.
Loop two had NO commentary bc speaker connected by earphones wasn’t working. In addition, route was changed due to construction and stops were either in different order or nonexistent. Lack of announcement of stop numbers added to confusion.
Don’t ride hop/on hop/off in Munich!

This tour did not meet expectations and wasn't worth the 28 euros that I paid. The main problem was that the audio commentary wasn't synchronized with the actual tour and the announcer was describing stuff we weren't seeing. Also, in the middle of the circuit around the city, we stopped for about 30 minutes on a side street for no apparent reason, a waste of sightseeing time. I'm not a big fan of these hop-on hop-off tours in general, although they can be a good orientation to the city when you want to take note of the places you'd like to come back to. This was just a useless waste of time and money.

We waited 45 minutes to catch our first bus, beginning of the day. Narratives didn’t match up with what we were driving by so you couldn’t see several things referred to. Drivers seemed very under motivated, some even rude. Not sure if the red busses are any better, but I’d give them a try. We have ridden a number of hop on hop off busses around the world, and this was not a good one.

Awful!
Needed to kill some time in the city and decided to look up a hop on hop off bus. Found this blue bus 2,5 h tour for $28, but the site didn’t have much availability. I was able to secure a ticket for one and the next morning headed to the city. Tickets did not have any instructions where the pick up was so I googled Munich hop on hop off bus and found a red hop on hop off bus. At that ticket office they said I was at a wrong place. After a short walk I found the blue bus stop, the driver accepted my ticket and I found a seat upstairs.
There were three other women waiting for the bus tour. Why was there no available tickets if the bus was completely empty?

After a short while the driver climbs up and informs us that his bus will now do a one hour tour, but if we want to do the 2.5 hour tour we needed to swap to another bus in front, and that would be leaving in 3 minutes.
We all got out and changed busses only to sit there and wait. After 15 minutes one of the ladies goes downstairs to ask if the tour is going to begin, and the rude driver said that he will leave at 11am, so we needed to wait another 15 minutes. At this point we had been sitting and waiting for good 30 minutes, I had other plans and waiting until 11am and then doing 2.5 hours was not going to work. We had no option but to change busses again to another bus that was only a hour tour. That way I wasn’t going to be late for my second booked tour elsewhere.

I felt like I wasted money by booking this blue bus tour. They were not clear with the amended departure times, they had no clear instructions where to start the tour.
