We had an amazing tour in Munich with tour guide Iain for our Bavarian beer and food tour! My husband and I did look at several and selected this based on the excellent preceding reviews and proximity to our hotel. Finding the tour office and check-in were easy. COVID-19 social distancing and hygiene are strictly observed on the tour which is very reassuring. We had about 10 people in our tour which was perfect! Iain provided so much fun and interesting history, ranging from history of the Oktoberfest and beer history to information about the city of Munich itself. Iain is an engaging, informative, fun and laid-back tour guide. He took care to mingle equally with all members of our group. Every stop had beer, of course. The museum and tasting were great and super fun, the main food stays at the second location were plentiful, and the beer delicious, and then finished at Hofbrauhaus. The tour is just long enough to get a really good taste of the beer scene in Munich, is super fun and laid back, but we certainly learned a lot about beer which was a pleasant surprise for us! Food and beer samples were included with our tour. The tour, inclusive of these items as well as museum entry is definitely worth the price. Would definitely recommend!

A wonderfully informative and fun evening with a great group of fellow travelers, and a great and professional tour Guide. Thank you Dani!

Package price includes beers at most stops, as well as a platter of assorted meats and cheese at another stop.

Dani set a high standard - and far exceeded the quality of other beer tours we did in Germany.

Kevin was our tour guide and did a great job showing us around the city. We started off with a beer, went to the Oktoberfest Museum for a tasting and pretzel, stopped at Schneider Weisse Gasthaus for a Bavarian style meal, and finally ended up at Hofbrauhaus for a final liter. It was so much more enjoyable with Kevin showing us around the museum and explaining the history of the city and foods we were enjoying, all in all a great experience to kick off our visit to Munch!

Our guide Dani was outstanding being the part of the evening to remember. We joined the tour late coming from another tour meeting the group at the Beer museum where Dani a font of information & my husband much enjoyed tasting beers in historic setting. I have Celiac disease. Dani did find me a glass of wine.
Sadly the balance of evening was a disappointment. We were only able to peek into Hofbrau House
Dani went across street bought a case of Aying beer in glass bottles to carry and drink to next stop. Doubt anyone had time to drink a beer on the short walk. My husband uses a cane. It was drizzling rain so he couldn't drink his beer in a bottle.. No wine for me. At the next stop we were to order drinks and have Bavarian tasting platter. My wine came after others in the group had left! We DID NOT get our food at all. Dani tried to get it for us. We waited well over an hour for nothing Again Dani good guide We believe some refund would be appropriate.

Thank you very much for your honest comments on this tour. The fact that you arrived around 1,5 hours late to the tour really made this very complication to alligne this with the regular intinerary on this tour. That also caused the confustion within our restaurant as nobody know when and if you would be coming. I am very sorry that this did not work out as schedule, I apologize for this inconveinience.

We arrived late for this tour because a previous tour ran long. We joined Dani, our tour guide, at the beer museum and she was definitely the highlight of t
he tour. My wife has a severe allergy to gluten and Dani brought her wine instead of beer. Our stop at the Hofbrauhaus was very disappointing. The place was packed so we quickly exited and Dani went nearby to buy a case of Aying beer which we attempted to drink while walking to our next stop. Not easy for me as I use a cane. Our last stop was for beer and a sampling of Bavarian food. Service here was awful. My wife’s wine arrived after several folks in our tour left. We never received the meat and cheese sampler plate and finally gave up and left. Dani was a great guide, very knowledgeable and personable but overall the evening was pretty disappointing. A partial, or full refund would be appreciated. Wayne- booking reference BR-887949812

First of all, thank you very much for your honest comments about our tour. I am sorry that the tour was not on the level of quality that you might have expected. As you joined the tour over an hour late, it was very challenging for us to arrange everything accoringly and therefor the setup for our stops, including your reservations, had been very challenging. Thanks for your understanding.

Fun evening! Our guide Kevin started us off with a bottle of Paulaner at the meeting point (it's perfectly legal to drink a beer on the street in Bavaria!), and then off we went to learn about (and drink, and experience) Munich's beer heritage. On a balmy summer evening, the beer was delicious and refreshing. After sampling several styles of Augustiner at a beer museum and enjoying wheat beer (Weißbier/Weizenbier/Hefeweizen) at a lovely old restaurant with our meal, we were escorted to the historic Hofbräuhaus, where Kevin left us and the eight of us guests (who were already good friends by then) carried on! Highly recommended. Munich is a beer-centric city, so why not start with a beer-centric tour?

The tour was a WONDERFUL experience! Worth every cent. Jax was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny. We started the tour with a bottle of beer, took the train to the Oktoberfest museum where we toured the museum and had 3 samples of beer and a pretzel, then we walked to the next restaurant where we had a meat and cheese plate that was more than enough for dinner, then ended the tour walking to Hofbrauhaus where our whole group ended up sitting together to enjoy more beer. Would absolutely recommend doing this if you’re in Munich!

This tour was a blast! Not knowing the city, it was very helpful, and informative on local customs and courtesies. Steve, an Irish native, living in Munich for 16 years, was the tour guide, and he was great getting a convivial group dynamic. Relaxed, easy-going and funny, I highly recommend Steve as your guide. The places we visited, plus the nosh - wunderbar!!

We had only been in Munich for an hour when this our started. It was absolutely the best way to start our visit to Munich. We learned a lot about the city, the history and the beer options and facts about restaurants too. Our tour leader was awesome and had great stories about Munich, Germany and her time living there. Our group was very fun mix of mostly Americans with some couples, small family groups with adults and college aged children. We had plenty of beer and food. Recommend bringing Euro's to buy extra beers and for tipping, about E25 for each person would be plenty. Highly recommend.

Our guide Kevin was entertaining informative and made the evening! The history of this place came alive through his talks and what we saw in the museums. The beer samples were generous, but I wish I had eaten a meal before taking the walk. Not to be petty but having travelled all day we hadn’t eaten beforehand so the cold platter was ok but for us inadequate given our circumstances. Perhaps some more info around what to expect from the arranged meal would have avoided this but the atmosphere was brilliant by the time we sat down so that did make up for it!
