Start of the tour is on the German side in Freilassing at the Hotel Oedhof. Via the village of Ainring we drive to Hammerau to continue along the river Saalach to Piding. By Piding it is not far to Staufenbrücke and to the Saalachauen. In Bad Reichenhall there are nice opportunities to take a break at the Rathausplatz after about 20km.

Pass By: Schloss Marzoll, Schloßberg 2, 83435 Bad Reichenhall, Germany
Through the city of Bad Reichenhall, the route leads us past the church of St. Zeno, the largest Romanesque basilica in ancient Bavaria. Continue via Weißbach to Marzoll. Shortly before Marzoll, the view of the castle and the Untersberg offers a unique panorama. Shortly thereafter, the border with Austria will cross.
Stop At: Salzburger Freilichtmuseum, Hasenweg 1, Grossgmain 5084 Austria
At the Salzburg open-air museum, there is an opportunity to visit this optional for a separate entrance fee.

Then it goes down to the Salzburg basin, to enjoy the view of the Untersberg rock formations at the foot of the Unterberg. Here are the sources of the Glanbach, which we reach shortly thereafter.
Glan down the route leads us to Salzburg. At the Glanbach offers at the renaturierten places a nice opportunity to take after 35km total distance a small breather.
Continue on to the southern end of Salzburg Airport to Salzburg. We then reach the district of Maxglan and pass the Stiegl Brewery there. Through the Salzburg district Lehen and Liefering the bike path leads us to the border to Germany and from there back to Freilassing.
