      Fun-Food-Wine!!!
What a wonderful gathering! We were unable to book any winery tours because it was too late. When I came across this, I loved the idea of tasting wines from various regions without leaving the comfort of a table full of gregarious company, perfect charcuterie offerings and s very knowledgeable, vibrant, energetic hostess. Caroline was so lovely, welcoming and creates a lovely atmosphere for a relaxed wine tasting. Do not hesitate to join this experience! Fun, food and wine - how can you go wrong!!

      Great Fun!
Caroline does a great job on these tastings. Whether you are someone who knows a lot about wine or a beginner, she will make you comfortable and provide great insight to the world of wine. The tasting is top notch, the wines are great, she contrasts them, helps the group think through what they are smelling and what they are tasting. The food provided was excellent as well. A very nice assortment of meat and cheese with bread, olives, and nuts. If you have an afternoon in Lyon, I highly recommend joining Caroline for one of her fabulous wine tastings, you'll love it and come away full with a better understanding of the wines of the south of France

Amazing wine experience, Caroline's knowledge was excellent and she made the afternoon super interesting for both the us novices and the more experienced within the group. I would highly recommend it if you are in Lyon, I know I will be going back!

A Super Fun Wine Tasting Experience
A wine tasting with Caroline is a special treat! She invites you into her beautiful studio in the quaint Croix-Rousse neighborhood (a must see part of Lyon in itself) and immediately you feel like a welcomed guest in her home. She has a wealth of knowledge and the wines we tasted represented the Lyon wine regions well. She provided a lovely meat and cheese board with seasonal fruit, cornichons, nuts and bread. All in all, a super fun afternoon that I would do again on my next trip back to Lyon!

      Great wine - knowledgeable host!
Was a fun, relaxed, and very enjoyable evening tasting and learning about wine! Having recently moved to France - I needed to brush up on regions and varieties - and this was a perfect opportunity to taste 6 wines from around the world in two hours. As a 'beginner', I found I could still appreciate the more complex opinions of Caroline and some of the other more experienced tasters in the group - while still enjoying the delicious wine!! Great night - I'll be back for another lesson!!

      Well that was terrible
Caroline was more whine than wine. I would not do her activities and virtually meeting her is just not an experience someone should have to pay to hear.

      AMAZING!
We virtually attended the Wine Dine Caroline classes. This is a must experience for all levels of people who enjoy wine or want to learn about wine. Rather you are a novice, as we were, or experienced in wine tasting you will have an amazing time. We learned so much about wine. Caroline's videos are easy to follow, visuals are useful and printable for future use. We did this virtual event with other family members using zoom and this made the experience more memorable. We laughed, we drank and exchanged interesting dialogue regarding the wine tastings. Highly recommend this experience with Caroline!

Fascinating and fun online virtual wine tasting!
WineDineCaroline from Lyon Wine Tastings is incredible! We did an online virtual wine tasting with a group of friends from around the country during quarantine, and not only was it an awesome way to catch up and spend quality time together, Caroline was awesome! She had everyone from our group choose a bottle of wine and send her a picture so that she could research it beforehand. At the start of the tasting she gave an overview of different types of wine, with tips for how to develop your wine tasting technique. Later she went into detail about each person's chosen wine, with background on the location and history, as well as what sets that wine apart. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very approachable on what can be an intimidating (and pretentious) subject. I'm already looking forward to doing another session with her soon!

Online wine tasting eased the mood of lockdown
It was great to meet so many people around the world for this virtual (though the wine was very real) wine tasting. Caroline was able to co-ordinate the activity for a large group of people, giving us some very useful information about the different wines and where they are grown. A very worthwhile experience that lifted our spirits for the weekend. Highly recommended.

      Zoom Wine Tasting Class
Caroline has a lovely and easy spirit about her even whilst explaining advanced wine tasting techniques to novices. It was a pleasure to have learned something new while meeting a nice international group of fellow wine explorers. I would do it again and highly recommend.

      Very Kind Free Virtual Tour
Whilst researching the internet, I stumbled across a free virtual wine tasting session via Zoom. Caroline never asks once for a penny/cent or even asks for a tip. The session is completely free. We joined some others from France, Dubai and Russia virtually. Caroline shows you how to taste wine properly step by step and then shows you on Google Maps where your wine was made and how this affects the making of the wine. We both learned something and really enjoyed it. As this session could easily be chargeable we really appreciated this free session. We wish her well and when we can go to Lyon will look her up. Thank you very much for your kindness!

      Super fun virtual tasting
I loved Caroline's tasting class. I learned a ton about how to taste wine and particularly enjoyed the Google Earth "tour" of vineyards getting to know a little about some of the major wine regions of the world, all based on the bottles my fellow classmates decided to open. Had never imagined I could do a wine tasting virtually but had a great time!

      Great online wine tasting!
I wasn't sure how an online wine tasting session would go, but truthfully, I don't think it really mattered! Caroline was extremely knowledgeable and informative in a very layman term sort of way. She took the intimidation factor out of wine tasting and gave me knew insight and ways to think about what I was actually drinking. I recommend her online class if you cannot attend in person!

      Great virtual tasting
I learned about Caroline’s virtual wine tasting from my local paper. My husband and I and our wine club members selected a wine to taste and Caroline did the rest. It was wonderful. So informative complete with google earth maps. She is very down to earth not a wine snob, not intimidating at all. I would def recommend a virtual tasting and hope one day to take an in person tour with her in Lyon

We had a great afternoon with Caroline. Starting off with a glass of bubbles whilst we introduced ourselves and she gave us some information about herself and how she had got into the business.
We then moved to the table which was set out with a beautiful, and very tasty, charcuterie board and Caroline introduced us to each wine in turn getting us to taste and give our thoughts. The group we were with gelled well so there was no reluctance or feeling of being judged for our opinions. Caroline’s knowledge of the wine, its region and the history of the area and grape was excellent and she delivered it in a way that was really fun and interesting.
The environment the tasting is held in (her apartment) is conducive to learning and appreciation of the fine wines as it is very relaxed and friendly.
We would definitely recommend it to others wanting to get an insight into French wines of the region. Memories of the afternoon will stay with us for a long time. Many thanks Caroline.

Truly a special wine tasting experience! Caroline shares her deep knowledge of wine, focusing on wines form the Lyon region. She opens her unique and gorgeous home to a small group of guests to learn more about the local wine. We tasted seven different wines and she provided a gorgeous spread of delicious food from the local specialty stores to accompany them. I learned more about how to explore wine and had a really nice time socially as Caroline is very outgoing and vibrant. I highly recommend this experience!

I had the honor of attending one of Caroline's tastings recently and to say it was marvelous would be an understatement.
Caroline is one of the few people who know how to balance humor, warmth, intelligence and professionalism. She is an encyclopedia of knowledge and is fiercely passionate about what she does. She has a knack for breaking things down and making the world of wine more accessible for those of us who aren't as well versed, and she is also just a wonderful, down to earth human being with a heart of gold. Please go do one of her tastings!

I have recently returned from a 5 day bespoke tour run by Caroline. Based in Lyon, me and 4 others had a fantastic wine and food tour of Lyon and the surrounding wine regions curated, hosted and guided by Caroline.

The trip included a great (and fun) cooking class and lunch at the Institute Paul Bocuse cooking school, with lunch; a day touring Cote du Rhône for tastings (with Hermitage being a standout!); a day touring and tasting in south Beaujolais; and other Lyon city tasting, touring and dining.

Meals include a Michelin 1 star, and the concluding dinner at a Michelin 2 star.

I could go on and on about the details, but I expect you can find them on the Wine Dine Lyon website. I loved the fact that we were a small group, and while the trip was structured, Caroline was able to adapt on the fly if the group wanted to slow down and just grab a drink, or take a late afternoon off and rest before dinner. The wine tours were limited to 3 tastings each day, which from prior experience is my preferred number. It was fantastic having Caroline lever her connections in the regions we visited to get us tastings at some small wineries, with the actual proprietor. We also tasted in Lyon itself, including at perhaps the nicest wine store I have ever seen.

You do not need any French for this tour. Caroline was easily able to handle any language gaps with the people we were dealing with, all of whom spoke English. The travel was foolproof, with our tasting days being in a lovely Merz van with Caroline’s preferred driver. Most of our Lyon outings were an easy walk from the hotel that Caroline had organized (which was a treat itself).

I guess the best testament to how much I enjoyed the trip was that I have signed up for the next trip she is running, and another member of our group signed up for the one after that! If you like learning about wine, and food, in a small group, relaxed but informative manner, make sure to reach out to Caroline!

I got this tasting as a gift for my husband who wanted to learn more about wine tasting in general and french regional wines in particular. Caroline was the perfect hostess, we felt like we were visiting a friend, while really learning a lot, and enjoying great wine and fine food to go with it. I would highly recommend it for anyone who has a couple of hours to dedicate to this while in the area.

Caroline’s wine tasting class was fabulous.
She took the time to discover what we wanted from the experience and carefully curated a superb collection of high quality and diverse wines for us to taste. She used maps, pictures and stories to bring the sometimes intimidating world of french wine to life. Caroline is both charming and knowledgable and we left after two hours of laughing, drinking and eating french produce feeling like we were walking on air!

This was an excellent workshop. Caroline, is extremely knowledgeable and approachable at the same time. She makes you feel instantly welcome and draws you into the experience.

Like most people I have been to wine tastings around a single varietal or brand but this was much better. Caroline gives you the opportunity to consider more than a single varietal and to truly compare and contrast the same grape in different styles . She provides eight distinctly French wines and explains the Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC), the grapes, and some very insightful wine culture history.

The charcuterie plate was also a wonderful way to experience pairings. We learned to eat and drink the "terroir' . Caroline did a wonderful job providing the best local accompaniments to the wines. And, the final desert wine was memorable because it was intense, herbal, and a deep chartreuse green. I am glad it was part of the tasting as it was something I would not have looked for on my own.

The setting in which the tastings are conducted provides a wonderful glimpse into Lyon living and a historic building. The room is bright and the wooden table is set with lovely glasses and plates. There is time to talk, ask questions, and enjoy a series of very good wines presented by an expert who makes everyone feel welcome and included.

This is a top notch experience.

I am now prepared to order wines that were not part of my repertoire. I look forward to ordering a glass of Gamay or a blend of Marsanne, Roussanne .
