- travelbyjess890 contributionsNot what we were expecting, and not what we paid forThe night before the trip I was contacted and told the meet up location changed due to the volume in the port on the mainland of Marseille. While this is not totally surprising due to the timing of the Olympic sailing events taking place there, but I would have expected the company to take this into account well in advance of our trip. The changing of the pickup location was last minute, so we had to rearrange our plans to account for a ferry trip to the Frioul port. Upon arrival we were unclear on where the boat was going to pick us up and we didn't know what the vessel looked like. Once we connected with our captain, it turns out that he too, was not expecting to have a trip that day. While our captain was very nice and accommodating, he was not prepared to host a group of 6 people. The description of the trip said the day would include beverages, and while we were provided coffee and wine, it felt more like we were drinking the captains personal stash of alcohol rather than a prepared offering of drinks. Our captain did not speak English very well, which made it challenging during our day out. He did take us to some secluded spots and allowed us plenty of time for swimming and exploring. That part of the trip was a good experience, but every other part was very disorganized and did not meet the expectations that I had for the day. I felt like booking through TripAdvisor should have offered some level of trusted experience, and I do not think they delivered for this trip. I feel we overpaid for the experience, and it was not well organized. I do not blame the captain, he did the best with what was thrown on him last minute, but we booked this trip WELL in advance, so I don't understand how it seemed "thrown together" in the end.Written August 13, 2024
- Sunshine088092123110 contributionsHiking dayGreat hiking experience! Maybe it was too hot and in days like these it shouldn’t be done. But the guides were nice, the picnic was lovely and the swinning at the beach was just perfect!Written August 11, 2024
- yilingzhan0 contributionsThank you Plnetazur for planning a full and meaningful day!The view was spectacular and the Plnetazur's guide gave us a lot of assistance to help my family and I do our first rock climbing in our lives.Written July 30, 2024
- roiyidaa0 contributionsEnjoyable and BeautifulAdrien and his friend where really enjoyable and nice with us. Our hiking was really cool even tho it was difficult it feel great to go further to what we use to do daily 😅. + : the view was amazingWritten July 25, 2024
- 178joew0 contributionsBeautiful views of the CalanquesThe guide was lovely as were the group of other travellers, mostly in their twenties, whilst we are fairly active early fifties. Most of the hike was within our usual capabilities, although some parts are quite rocky. The guide asked us if we were happy to return via a route with a short cliff scramble using a chain, which we agreed to. My partner was fine with this but I did struggle a little and was helped by the guide and another traveller. The beach and swim were lovely as were the picnic prepared by the guide. The walk was a little pricey considering a fairly large group, but to be fair it did include a lovely picnic.Written July 19, 2024
- bogl_rkai20240 contributionsHighly recommended for those who want to get away from the city and enjoy an experience close to nature.A well organised adventure trip that starts in the centre of Marseille and shows a bit of the quintessence of the Calanques. We really enjoyed the whole thing, including the picnic and the expert explanations of our guide, Arthur, who also gave us useful tips for our stay in Provence.Written July 16, 2024
- shre_singhania0 contributionsExtremely hot, guide does not wait back either, figure your way on your ownThe weather is the least supportive honestly. Extreme heat with sun on the head. I would rather recommend going to frioul - both cheaper and lesser effort to be put in. The time of wait at the so called beach was quite long and unnecessary. The sun literally drained us out and the park had no place to fill water also inside. Also, while returning the guide went ahead with rest of the group and me and my husband were figuring the way out on our own. If we are paying we would rather expect the guide to wait back for ppl who are falling behind in the trail. Think before picking this tour.Written July 7, 2024
- Carly A0 contributionsFantastic viewsOur guide was very patient with us as we were a pretty slow group. Reservations were required for one part of the hike, so we needed to backtrack some of the trail but the views were all worth it. Fantastic swimming spot as wellWritten July 6, 2024
- G6137TFjamesr0 contributionsHad noneWe were scheduled to go on the Sea Beauty at the Mercy of the Wind on June 24 at 10 am. We went to the platform behind the Museum as required, 1/2 hour early to make the boat. The boat never showed, and I was vigilant in looking for it. My husband is handi-capped from stroke and his left side is not useable. He uses a walker. I walk with a cane also. This was not easy for either of us but we managed. We were most disappointed when the boat never showed. Please credit back our $262.00 we spentWritten July 3, 2024

- dooleyg20220 contributionsExceptional Cooking Class experience. My partner and I have experienced a number of different cooking experiences during our travels and without hesitation I recommend Chef Jonathan Chiri’s class. From his welcoming demeanor to his vast knowledge on farm to table preparation. Originally from California, Chef Chiri has called France home for over two decades. He offers his classes in both English and French. We began today’s class with a short walk around Les Halles learning about the variety of fresh seafood and produce available. Also, where and more importantly when to purchase patisseries and the all important baguette. During our cooking demonstration, Chef Chiri provided numerous opportunities for the class to assist with our lunch preparation, while giving great pointers on what he was working on. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how accommodating Chef Chiri was in choosing the protein to be served as we preferred seafood rather than anything else. When we finished the majority of the food preparation, we were asked to find a seat where we were given the choice of wine or juice with our lunch. What a great way to spend a morning to early afternoon in Avignon.Written June 19, 2024
- X5194RHlisat0 contributionsWine Tour DisasterI was so excited to book this tour. Going to 2 gorgeous Château’s in the Marseille region ,Château La Coste and Chateau La Gaude whilst on a day stop from our cruise. Things started not so great. We booked through Viator and listing advised that our pick up details would be advised/we would be contacted 24 hours prior. This never happened. I was chasing on the day asking where pickup is (even after providing ship details months earlier on booking). The next issue was that the tour operator advised we would be doing a city tour. I said I did not want to do a city tour, it was never advertised in the listing and to be completely frank, all I wanted to do was the wineries and taste great wine as advised in the listing. The listing advertised 4 hours at Chateau La Coste and 4 hours in the next Chateau La Guarde. Despite advising we did not want to do a city tour, the tour operator proceeded to waste two hours of our time walking around the province that none of the group wanted to do and on top, I have a significant knee injury and another in the group had an impediment and walking was not our preference (not to mention still managing the swelling and pain today). It is worthy to mention that this tour operator is the most boring, dry guide I have ever experienced on a tour. I understood later why the operator wanted to do a city tour and that’s because the first wine tasting booking that he had made was for 11 am. Since this was a Wine Tour, I don’t understand why he could not have taken us to a wine bar or another winery, to taste some wine! The tour listing advertised alcohol included and a wine tasting and vineyard tour. None of these things happened. The tour operator advised me the day before that there ‘was an error on the listing and we have to pay at each Chateau’. We get to the first Chateau and we all paid the €25 per person to do the tasting. This winery was so beautiful with it’s art and I wanted to stay and take photos, however I was rushed to get on the bus after being there only 1 hour to get to the next winery. (Despite advertising we would be there for 4 hours). I can’t understand why we did the morning tour and I could’ve spent more time at this beautiful place. The next château was equally gorgeous. Again, the tour operator advised that it was a vineyard tour which we never received. We had to pay again for a wine tasting which was €10 per person. The tour operator understood we were all very annoyed and decided we can go to another winery before heading back to the cruise ship. The tour group which consisted of four other guests, on the same ship agreed we would go and try! We were all very excited! The first winery we get to, is closed. Not to worry the winery across the road we will try. We get there, the winery is closed as well. At this point, we were all absolutely annoyed beyond belief! We all agreed to finish the tour and go back to the boat ASAP! Next, we turned down a dirt road and we asked the operator where we are going. He said we are going to a winery! We all said, no we said to go back to the ship we were so utterly annoyed. So the tour ended with six very annoyed Australian and American tourists that had hoped for this amazing château experience as advertised. I can’t put into words how disappointed to pay AUD 437, plus EUR70 in wine tastings that were advertised as included and a vineyard tour that never happened, is beyond despicable. Overall we were completely scammed and misled by this to operator who continually blamed Viator for the listing error. The tour operator is responsible for the listing, therefore the liability is with you to ensure you advertise and advise your guests correctly.Written June 14, 2024
- susanl9070 contributionsOk, but not greatNot the experience I expected. We had an American chef cooking with us, who seemed distracted. Everything was a bit haphazard, and recipes not particularly from Provence or seasonal, like panna cotta with plums. We we given a box of mushrooms to clean that probably should have been disposed. The meal was not exceptional as we ate at the market counter. Some ingredients in the dishes would not be available to a home cook, like gelatin leaves. We never received the recipes as promised. I’ve done similar classes in Italy and Portugal and had a more informative and regionally based experiences. Usually we can’t wait to try what we made at home, not this time.Written June 11, 2024

Parece que recuamos no tempo, pessoas, objetos, produtos tudo nos leva a sentir Marselha como uma cidade estado, comercializando com outras cidades do Mediterrâneo .
