- Mkluk430 contributionsPerfect Wine Day in ProvenceMy wife and I had an absolutely incredible time on our winery and goat cheese farm tour with Provence Wine Tours! Our guide Eric was super informative with the history of Marseille along with Provence and shared a bunch of knowledge of wine from the region. Plus the wine and cheese we got to try were fantastic. Can't recommend a trip with them enough!Written October 21, 2024
- R8627KUkarenm0 contributionsAmazing Wine Tour with a Fantastic Guide! We had an incredible day on our wine tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Laura. She was extremely professional, informative, and had a great sense of humor that made the day even more enjoyable. We visited three very different wineries, each offering some of the best wines we’ve ever tasted. Laura managed the timing perfectly, ensuring we had enough time at each location without feeling rushed. Not only did she share a wealth of knowledge about the wines, wineries, and the local history of Nice, but she also gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Nice. I would absolutely recommend this tour to any wine lover, and I can’t wait to do it again in the future. A truly memorable experience!Written October 9, 2024
- kendallh1980 contributionsEnjoyable experienceWe did a half day tour which began in Hyeres. We were picked up by our guide, Frank, who was knowledgeable about the area, domains, and wine making process. It was fun learning more about the special qualities of Cote D'Azur and the wines produced here. Would recommend those not from this area to take this tour to learn more and enjoy a great wine tasting at the selected domains!Written October 8, 2024

- Shelley S0 contributionsEasy and relaxed but informativeGabriel was a great tour guide. He was interesting and interested in his guests. He gave us snippets of information making sure he wasn't overwhelming us with too much knowledge yet enough to respond to our queries. The day was well paced and Gabriel kept us informed about our activities. A fantastic way to visit the Luberon region.Written September 29, 2024
- austink40 contributionsGreat Tour!We had an unforgettable wine tour experience in the stunning Provence region. The scenery was breathtaking, and our knowledgeable guide took us through charming family-owned wineries, where we learned about the unique terroir and enjoyed a range of delicious wines. The winemakers were welcoming, and the personal touch made the tour feel intimate. A highlight was a relaxing lunch among the vineyards, perfectly paired with local wine and cuisine. Overall, it was a beautifully crafted tour that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Provence.Written September 26, 2024
- Kauaiguest0 contributionsWonderful tourWe really enjoyed this tour. In fact, we were lucky to make it as Viator in their wisdom cancelled our reservation the night before the tour, and failed to advise us, so we showed up at the meeting point the next day not knowing that this had happened. Thanks to Eric, the tour guide, and his colleagues, there was room for us, so we were able to join the tour as planned. We visited 3 wineries and Eric, a wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable guide, explained the local wine making traditions and the processes of the winery. In 2 cases we actually met the winemakers themselves and it was special to be able to listen to them explaining what they were seeking to achieve with their wines and how they went about it. Eric himself previously worked in the wine industry so he had much knowledge to share. And of course the wines - we tasted many and bought some too so that we could enjoy them at home. One tip - if the weather is hot, heed the advice to take some water. You will need it. The scenery is stunningly beautiful, as is Cassis, where we had lunch. And before heading back, Eric made a special detour to a beautiful look out over Cassis and the Calanques. It was a nice way to end a great day - again we were lucky that the view point was open at the time we were there. Thank you Eric!Written August 30, 2024
- kimberlypB250ZN0 contributionsFantasticLaura was phenomenal on the day tour from Nice. She was a clever and clear communicator, well versed in a variety of cultural nuances and an approachable expert surrounding wines, both their origins and their consumptions. It was a scorching hot day and she was a champ in her long pants!Written August 9, 2024
- S G0 contributionsLovely private tour in Provence! We had a private tour of 3 wineries in Provence with a break for us to have lunch in Aix-en-Provence. We were picked up and dropped off at our location in Marseille. Our guide Brice was very knowledgeable, and he made the day very fun. Brice (and the tour company) also made it easy to buy wine from multiple wineries and have it shipped back to the USA. Highly recommend the private tour!Written August 6, 2024
- rdarcy10 contributionsGreat experienceWe had a wonderful day tasting wines with Jean-Gabriel. It was very relaxed, plenty of time at each place and a couple of hours in a village for lunch. Beautiful vineyards and delicious wines!Written July 21, 2024

- lukewd240 contributionsAmazing day in Luberon! This entire day was amazing from start to finish. Loris was our host and he so personable and was very knowledgeable about everything in the region. I loved that we visit small family wineries and truly immersed in the experience. We got to hear from the owners and wine makers themselves. Tried 15-20(?) wines from all different varieties as well as different vintages of the same variety. Cherry on top was the cute lunch we had in Loumarin. All in all, very highly recommend, don’t hesitate to book - this company is the best and they are supporting great wineries!! Shoutout Loris for being outstanding!Written June 23, 2024
- owenmM3906XG0 contributionsGreat dayReally a great way to spend a day. We left at 9am, back by 4:30pm or so. We saw three wineries, had 4-6 samples at each and got to see some beautiful countryside. Got lunch at a cute little village. Really thought it was a pretty good value especially if you want to get out of the city for a day!Written June 1, 2024

This tour gets such excellent reviews we would love to go on one but they are so popular they are already booked. :-( Is there anyone out there on RCCL Symphony of the Seas in Marseille on Tuesday June 19th, 2018 looking for a shore excursion (or just in Marseille looking for this type of tour) who would like to start a new group with us for their Cassis/Provence wine tour? Need 2 or more to start a new tour. Touch base with me through trip advisor or directly with Provence Wine Tours.

My husband and I couldn't find any interesting excursions with Royal Caribbean so we booked this on Trip Advisor. It was our first time traveling overseas and our first time booking through Trip Advisor and the experience could not have been smoother. We took this tour in August of 2019. We were able to easily connect with our tour guide and the rest of our tour (a family of four). It was so nice to be in a small group where we could ask lots of questions and get a more personal experience. Our tour guide was so knowledgable and shared so much information about the wine, the area, and the culture. The wineries we went to were absolute gorgeous--beautiful views and delicious wine--what more could you ask for? We came with very little background knowledge of the wine making process so it was so fascinating to hear all about it. We got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. This tour was one of our favorite excursions and I would definitely recommend it, as it is fun, informative, and an amazing value!

We went on this tour May 2019 and Stefan was our tour guide. He was a fantastic guide giving lots of information about the region we were in as well as the wineries we visited. The first winery we went to was gorgeous and offered reds, whites, and roses. Then Stefan drove us to Cassis and stopped along the way for breathtaking views and pictures from the second highest cliff in Europe. Then he drove us down to the town area of Cassis where we had free time to explore the area and eat. In the town of Cassis there are ample restaurants along the water and area to shop as well. We then rod to the second winery where we tried a few whites and roses. There wasn’t as much area in this winery to tour compared to the first, but it still had nice views. After our second tasting, Stefan drove us back to our cruise ship with plenty of time to spare. We would highly recommend this tour!

Our cruise ship didn’t have a shore excursion that interested us, so I found this tour on trip advisor and booked it. I received feedback and information from the company immediately along with important port of call info.
When we got to Marseille, our guide Eric, met us in the terminal (we were a small group of 8) and we proceeded to our van for transportation to first winery. Eric was very informative, personable and knowledgeable. He made sure we were comfortable and answered every question we had. The first winery was set in the gorgeous French countryside where we got a tour of the production faculty as well as the beautiful gardens, sculptures and art collection of the owners. The wine tasting was intimate and refreshing.
Next we went to Aix en Provence for a little free time/lunch/shopping. Would liked to have had a little more time here though.
The final winery was smaller but landscapes were breath taking. All in all a wonderful day in Provence!

Thanks to Fabienne, whose knowledge of the wines of the region was a sound education, we had a most enjoyable day. Met from our cruise ship, we spent many hours being delighted with the scenery and information about the Bandol and Cassis wine regions. If you are on a cruise ship, best to request the ship notify the port authorities of the Provence Wine Tours attendance, or they deny them access to the ship side afrea to pick you up. Makes meeting a little difficult. However we managed and had a fabulous day in Fabienne’s capable hands.
One minor detraction, the timing of lunch made getting space in any decent restaurant a little difficult. If all you need is a sandwich or pizza and a coffee, there is no problem.
We would gladly recommend Provence Wine Tours.

We were on a cruise that docked in Marseille on October 16th ... there were no shore excursions offered by Royal Caribbean that interested us, so in the course of my research I stumbled across Provence Wine Tours and their shore excursion options for cruise passengers. The idea of a small group winery tour through Provence sounded like perfection and reviews here on Trip Advisor were stellar, so we booked independently and had an amazing day!
Eric, our guide, was waiting for us in the cruise terminal that morning - the weather was cool and rainy, which turned out to be perfect for wine drinking. There were a total of 8 guests, all from the same cruise ship, and we visited two wineries during the day, with a stop at Aix en Provence for a quick lunch. Our first winery stop was Chateau Vignelaure, an estate about 35km from Aix, which was just stunning and which is known as the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Provence. Eric took us on a very thorough and fascinating tour of the winery, including the cellars, and then followed it up with a tasting of four fabulous wines: a white, a rose', and two examples of their cabernet sauvignon blends (2011 and 2004).
We had a quick stop in Aix en Provence for lunch - we were on our own, but asked Eric for a recommendation and his suggestion to try La Belle Epoque was spot on; terrific food and drinks with a charming atmosphere.
Our second winery stop of the day was Domaine de Saint-Ser, a gorgeous vinyard located on a hillside in the Cotes de Provence Sainte-Victoire area. This is a much smaller winery than the first we visited but the product was absolutely delicious and has won numerous awards over the years. We were fortunate enough to try five wines on this stop and enjoyed every one of them, along with discussion from the winery owner.
I really can't say enough good things about this entire experience - the company itself was easy to work with and very friendly when we booked the excursion, Eric was a charming and knowledgeable guide, and our winery stops were both award-winning examples of Provence wines that made us wish we could ship a few cases back home to the US!
If we have the opportunity to visit this region again, we look forward to booking another winery tour to a different area with Provence Wine Tours - we know we will be in good hands.

Hello! I came across your wonderful tour on Viator. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and were very impressed. We are looking to book a tour for 9 people for Tuesday, August 6th 2019. We will be on the Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. Is there anything you can do to accommodate us? Thank you in advance!
