About the operator
- LK9645900ScamThis company is a scam, do not book. Does not take you to the calanques as advertised on many of their excursions. Staff on boat are children and captain is a drunk, and quite frankly all awful people that seem to laugh at the hard working people they rip off daily. Do not book with this company as you will not get what you pay for.
- jacobbP6167TO00Never again!Scam! The promise to go to Nationaal park Calanques but after a hour of sailing we stop at the middle of the ocean for a swim break. When I asked the captain about the Calanques, his story was that he wasn't aloud to go there because of the olympics. Therefor the website is misleading. We payed 99 euro's for a mediocre sail cruise, with terrible food, NO national park and a lying captain. The boat without any chill seats, cushions of music. Never again
- 644janist00Avoid! Service cut short after late start, not as described/paid for, non-responsive staffI wasn't going to, but they leave me no choice. So this comment is 1 year in the making. Summer of 2022 we rented a catamaran for a private tour. We found out ONLY WHEN already at the port to board the boat that something had happened with it and we cannot use the service. No calls, no warning before. We had to look for what happened ourselves. It was "fixed" by providing another boat. Our departure was late 2 hours. 2 small children (4y and 3m) had to wait in the heat outside for the boat to arrive. And a friend with serious mobility challenges as well. Our planned trip to the park did not happen because the substitute boat did not have licence to go there (or at least that's the story they told). The trip was cut short by more than two hours and could not be extended to compensate for the late arrival. There was no music connection on the boat (we had prepared a special playlist for the trip). Minor stuff, but worth mentioning. After us pointing out that some sort of discount is due, they did not feel one needed for all of the nonsense they put us through. We were sent a dinner cruise voucher for 2 persons (though our group was more like 10 people). Now in 2023 I've been trying to contact Levantin for several times, but the responsiveness to my particular inquiry about using the voucher could, to put it mildly, be better. No response to emails. On a call they promised to look at it asap, but still nothing. Now I'm having trouble reaching them on the phone as well. I know a bad business, when I see one. This is clearly on you want nothing to do with!
- Alex1Trof00sudden cancellation and no refundBooked a cruise online. The cruise was canceled the day before departure. Left without a cruise for my girlfriend's birthday. Then they sent a letter that they would return the money, but more than two weeks have passed and there is no money or answers to letters. Be careful when ordering!
- chrissN3869BT00As aboveBooked in advance via a partner website. Company Accepted booking but the cruise never happened with no call by the company to say so. My partner and I along with several other guest waited at the dockside for 45 minutes before giving up. Wasted an evening of our holiday.
- xguell7600Great cruise, great staff, too bad timing was not idealVery nice experience with a great team. The catamaran was the perfect size for the group we were. We came with 2 kids aged 10 and 6, and they had a terrific experience, notably thanks to the amazing staff who took the time to answer all their questions (they are very curious!) and let them at the helm (with very close supervision of course). Food was OK, and everyone found something they liked. Only downside is that it was meant to be a sunset cruise but we left the harbor it was already dark as we had changed time a couple of days before but the timing of the cruise had not been adjusted.
- 287roryl00Cancelled trip, have not received refundI was supposed to go on a brunch cruise on October 4th. They cancelled via text the day before. I’ve followed up multiple times via email and voicemail and have not received any communication or refund. We took the Croisières Marseille Calanques trip instead (much cheaper) and had a great time. Even saw dolphins.
- DGregrory00False advertising - this charter does not go to the CalanquesThis outing was advertised as a five hour Calanques tour. However, once we set out, the boat captain said he wasn’t licensed to go to the Calanques. So we motored to a cove 30 min. out of Marseille harbor and sat for four hours. Some people swam, some people slept, and everyone left the trip feeling frustrated and cheated. Do not go on this trip if you want to see the Calanques.
- Alex B00Stuck at sea! As boat broke down - still no refund even after being offered one!The boat departed 1 hour late due to the 1st bout we was supposed to be on not starting at the port due to an issue with the anchor, Once aboard the 2nd boat we arrived at the 1st location, dropped the anchor, had a spot of lunch and this is where it all went wrong, the boat would not turn back on so we was stuck at sea, the crew eventually advised that we were getting picked up by a rescue boat but this did not arrive. Eventually the boat started after the crew spent approx 3 hrs messing with the batteries/engine. We arrived back at the port 3.5hrs later than expected and did not see any of what the south coast of france has to offer. Im still waiting for my refund.
- nonamect00A waste of money and timeThis was absolutely a waste of money. Motored out for a short swim in cold waters. Did not see even one Calanque. A mediocre lunch. Lots of crying toddlers running around. Very crowded. Mostly families and teenagers/young adults who sole goal was to party and sunbathe on deck. We were very disappointed and DO NOT recommend this for anyone....unless you like crying toddlers and don't want to see any of the Calanques.
- 2808denisen00HappyGreat night Loved it Food great and plenty of it Great music and disco Great entertainment Well looked after Fun with Captain Met some amazing people
- houdao92900Amazing cruiseIt was really nice! One of the best days of my life. Safe sailing crew were friendly and sailed well. Food was great too 🫶🏼 Keep up the good work!
- 88ilincam00They cancelledWe got an email the night before saying that our paid trip was cancelled and to wait for further notice/reschedule. The next day WE CALLED them to reschedule the trip, but the person who answered told us that they will call us back. Of course nobody called or texted ever again. Luckily, we were in town and just went at their office (in Vieux Port) and demanded our money back. They cancelled all the trips until the end of that week because of the storm on sea. Also, we were really bothered to see a Levantin catamaran sailing on Thursday (the "stormy-impossible" day). If you book with them, make sure you are in town to get your money back, they are most likely to cancel the night before, from various reasons.
- suekK9072GB00Annulee et pas de contact regard le remboursementI recieved a message a few days before boarding that the cruise was cancelled. I started mailing and messaging them about the refund but so far no response from them. The only mail i got was to make a review so here it is….
- beatrizs85700Don't waste your money (and patience)Typical company made to get money out of unprepared tourists. Their website, where you make the reservations, carries false informations, team is rude when you try to discuss these issues, and even more serious: Their Brunch tour doesn't take you anywhere really. They pass by the Calanques National Park and go straight to the middle of the ocean in front of the Frioul islands: a place that is neighter interesting nor carries natural beauties. They then borrow snorkels although there's nothing to see. You stay there for a couple of hours then head back. Food served for lunch is not good.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner with plenty of food and great views on the city of Marseille. We watched the sun go down and could later on watch the stars. The crew was very friendly. They speak a little bit of English too.
The trip was too short to raise the sails, according to the organiser. So we went on a catamaran using its engines. Another thing we missed in the information prior to going on the trip, is that during the trip, the boat will turn into a disco-boat, playing loud music with fancy lightning and creating a dancefloor in the middle. This caught us by surprise: we probably would have picked one of the other (daytime) options if we had known this beforehand. The trip in itself however was still properly enjoyable.

We tried to book this twice and we had trouble getting in at the last minute because the demand is high, but we managed to get on.
For what it was it was good:
- The catamaran is huge, holding about 50 to 60 people.
- The supplied dinner was good. Lots of salad and BBQ chicken skewers. - Wine and beer were additional so we were glad we took an additional €50 for drinks.
- The DJ that we had was a middle aged gentleman that played 60's to 80's music for the most of the cruise which was OK.
He only started playing more recent dancey music on our way back to port.
- We got a bottle of wine between my wife and I and pleasantly sharded it before the dinner was served...
They motored out to the Frioul archipelago
And back again while the sun was going down. About 20 mins before sun down, they anchored in such a way so that we were side on to the sunset. The sunset was lovely.
Once we had our food we went out to front of the catamaran and enjoyed the sunset.
Things to detract from the night were:
- Pre cruise briefing to the guests was completely in French. No check for any other language was attempted. This meant that us and other English speaking people aboard had no idea what was going on.
- There appeared to be too many guests on board for the available tables. Resulting in mercenary and steathy stealing of tables by other unscrupulous guests ( which happened to us ).
We both enjoyed ourselves for what it was, but it could have been better:
1. A check for different language speakers on board so that the cruise briefing could be spoken in different languages accordingly.
2. Allocated seating with a "few" less guests so that it was less cramped at the tables.
We gave up our seat and sat in the netting spanning the catamaran hulls at the front of the ship after our table was stolen....
3. The allocated seating could be used to serve dinner, so that we didn't have to wait in a really long line to serve ourselves dinner. Each table could be served individually.
All in all it was good. Just enjoy it for what it is, a no frills honest cruise around the Frioul archipelago to watch the sunset and have dinner.
