- R8627KUkarenm0 contributionsAmazing Wine Tour with a Fantastic Guide! We had an incredible day on our wine tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Laura. She was extremely professional, informative, and had a great sense of humor that made the day even more enjoyable. We visited three very different wineries, each offering some of the best wines we’ve ever tasted. Laura managed the timing perfectly, ensuring we had enough time at each location without feeling rushed. Not only did she share a wealth of knowledge about the wines, wineries, and the local history of Nice, but she also gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Nice. I would absolutely recommend this tour to any wine lover, and I can’t wait to do it again in the future. A truly memorable experience!Written October 9, 2024
- kendallh1980 contributionsEnjoyable experienceWe did a half day tour which began in Hyeres. We were picked up by our guide, Frank, who was knowledgeable about the area, domains, and wine making process. It was fun learning more about the special qualities of Cote D'Azur and the wines produced here. Would recommend those not from this area to take this tour to learn more and enjoy a great wine tasting at the selected domains!Written October 8, 2024

- Shelley S0 contributionsEasy and relaxed but informativeGabriel was a great tour guide. He was interesting and interested in his guests. He gave us snippets of information making sure he wasn't overwhelming us with too much knowledge yet enough to respond to our queries. The day was well paced and Gabriel kept us informed about our activities. A fantastic way to visit the Luberon region.Written September 29, 2024
- austink40 contributionsGreat Tour!We had an unforgettable wine tour experience in the stunning Provence region. The scenery was breathtaking, and our knowledgeable guide took us through charming family-owned wineries, where we learned about the unique terroir and enjoyed a range of delicious wines. The winemakers were welcoming, and the personal touch made the tour feel intimate. A highlight was a relaxing lunch among the vineyards, perfectly paired with local wine and cuisine. Overall, it was a beautifully crafted tour that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Provence.Written September 26, 2024
- Kauaiguest0 contributionsWonderful tourWe really enjoyed this tour. In fact, we were lucky to make it as Viator in their wisdom cancelled our reservation the night before the tour, and failed to advise us, so we showed up at the meeting point the next day not knowing that this had happened. Thanks to Eric, the tour guide, and his colleagues, there was room for us, so we were able to join the tour as planned. We visited 3 wineries and Eric, a wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable guide, explained the local wine making traditions and the processes of the winery. In 2 cases we actually met the winemakers themselves and it was special to be able to listen to them explaining what they were seeking to achieve with their wines and how they went about it. Eric himself previously worked in the wine industry so he had much knowledge to share. And of course the wines - we tasted many and bought some too so that we could enjoy them at home. One tip - if the weather is hot, heed the advice to take some water. You will need it. The scenery is stunningly beautiful, as is Cassis, where we had lunch. And before heading back, Eric made a special detour to a beautiful look out over Cassis and the Calanques. It was a nice way to end a great day - again we were lucky that the view point was open at the time we were there. Thank you Eric!Written August 30, 2024
- kimberlypB250ZN0 contributionsFantasticLaura was phenomenal on the day tour from Nice. She was a clever and clear communicator, well versed in a variety of cultural nuances and an approachable expert surrounding wines, both their origins and their consumptions. It was a scorching hot day and she was a champ in her long pants!Written August 9, 2024
- S G0 contributionsLovely private tour in Provence! We had a private tour of 3 wineries in Provence with a break for us to have lunch in Aix-en-Provence. We were picked up and dropped off at our location in Marseille. Our guide Brice was very knowledgeable, and he made the day very fun. Brice (and the tour company) also made it easy to buy wine from multiple wineries and have it shipped back to the USA. Highly recommend the private tour!Written August 6, 2024
- rdarcy10 contributionsGreat experienceWe had a wonderful day tasting wines with Jean-Gabriel. It was very relaxed, plenty of time at each place and a couple of hours in a village for lunch. Beautiful vineyards and delicious wines!Written July 21, 2024
- X9833VEannal0 contributionsGreat day drinking wine!We had a wonderful day set up by our guide Brice. He planned a great day of two wineries and also booked our lunch in advance. - lukewd240 contributionsAmazing day in Luberon! This entire day was amazing from start to finish. Loris was our host and he so personable and was very knowledgeable about everything in the region. I loved that we visit small family wineries and truly immersed in the experience. We got to hear from the owners and wine makers themselves. Tried 15-20(?) wines from all different varieties as well as different vintages of the same variety. Cherry on top was the cute lunch we had in Loumarin. All in all, very highly recommend, don’t hesitate to book - this company is the best and they are supporting great wineries!! Shoutout Loris for being outstanding!Written June 23, 2024
- owenmM3906XG0 contributionsGreat dayReally a great way to spend a day. We left at 9am, back by 4:30pm or so. We saw three wineries, had 4-6 samples at each and got to see some beautiful countryside. Got lunch at a cute little village. Really thought it was a pretty good value especially if you want to get out of the city for a day!Written June 1, 2024
- Fooodtings0 contributionsFantastic time in Bandol and CassisWe had a fantastic time on the half day exercising to Bandol and Cassis. There were a variety of wines to taste, the locations are beautiful and our guide, Stefan, was fabulous. Would definitely return again next year!Written May 25, 2024
- runner_marks0 contributionsA wonderful 1/2 day wine tasting tour in Bandol and Cassis!I was with my daughter and there were two other girls my daughter's age, which was wonderful and two other couples. The afternoon was wonderful and so memorable! Everything was so organized. Our guide, Stephane was great - full of information about the wine region, wine making, and wine production! The area is gorgeous and Stephane treated us to an amazing view of Cassis after our tastings! Stunning! I would definitely take another tour when I return. Loved the small group size as well!Written May 23, 2024

I would definitely recommend this tour. The booking process was straightforward, & Eric, our guide was there at the port & took us to the first of 2 wineries. He had a good knowledge of the local area, which kept us interested during the 45 minute journey. He took us round the winery & we had a chance to taste their wares. We then travelled to Aix au Provence and had free time for lunch. We then travelled to the second winery where we had a further tour & more samples. We were returned back to the ship in plenty of time. It was a lovely way to spend the day. Eric was a great tour guide.

There was a large group of us and we were able to book this tour for our group. We were on a cruise ship and they were able to pick us up and drop us off in timely matter. Our tour guides Fab and Eric were outstanding. They were informative and wonderful. It is tough dealing with a group of 15 but they did it and every single one of us had a marvelous time.
We got to see two beautiful wineries and learn so much about French wine making in that region. They also were able to make us lunch reservations for the group at a wonderful restaurant in Aix Provence. All in all a wonderful experience

Overall a nice experience but not necessarily a wine focused tour. Tour guide was great, kind and knowledgeable. However, for the hefty price of the tour we only received a bit over a glass of wine each. For the price I definitely expected a more tasting oriented tour. Scenery was gorgeous and was overall a fun time, but would’ve liked some more wine!

Dear Ethan,
Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that you were not entirely satisfied with this tour. You have indeed chosen a tour that is not 100% focused on wine, as it also includes a visit to a goat farm and cheese tasting and some time in the lively city of Aix-en-Provence. The doses served in the glasses are the usual doses served at tastings in France, as it's not a question of drinking but of tasting. Sorry again if this didn't suit you.
Please also note that the price includes: the wine and cheese tastings, but also the guide for a whole day, transport in a Mercedes minivan, petrol, commission fees...
Next time, don't hesitate to contact us beforehand so that we can recommend the tour that best suits your wishes and tastes. Thnak you.

A group of 6 took the Wine Tour around Aix en Provence (full day tour) on 21 October 2017. This was our shore excursion while stopping in Marseilles. We booked it months in advance as this was one the items on our “bucket list”. Our guide (I’m believe her name was Guita) was terrific. She is a trained Sommelier and intimately familiar with the Provence area and the regional wines and wineries. The day included visits to three wineries and free time in the Aix de Provence for lunch and sightseeing. Our guide picked us up promptly at 9:30 at the cruise terminal. We traveled in a very comfortable van approximately 60 minutes to our first stop. Each winery visit included a guided tour of the facilities and tasting. The wines were all regional vintages with emphasis on Rose. I really appreciated the expert commentary from our guide and winery hosts about each of the wines we sampled. They clearly are passionate about their products. The scenery in the area is stunning (and honestly different that I expected) with mountains and quaint winding roads. Stopping in the city of Provence was a nice way to break up to day. All in all we were very pleased with our tour and recommend it to everyone who enjoys good wine and seeing the French countryside.

We went on a full day Provence Wine tour around Aix-en-Provence in August 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The organisation was excellent and the driver was positive, fun and full of knowledge which he happily shared. We went to a number of small wineries that would not have been easy to visit yourself and the tastings were generous. There was a lunch stop in Aix-en-Provence and the pick-up and drop-off from central Marseille was a bonus. We would happily go again next time we're in Marseille. Try them!

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible time on our winery and goat cheese farm tour with Provence Wine Tours! Our guide Eric was super informative with the history of Marseille along with Provence and shared a bunch of knowledge of wine from the region. Plus the wine and cheese we got to try were fantastic. Can't recommend a trip with them enough!

We had an incredible experience on the wine and cheese tasting tour in Aix-en-Provence led by the wonderful guide, Eric. His informative and friendly demeanor made the tour truly enjoyable. Not only did he expertly explain the wine-making process, but he also shared captivating stories about the winery's history and the charming area of Aix-en-Provence. Eric's passion for both wine and the region was evident, and it added a delightful layer to the tour. The combination of good wines, delicious cheeses, and Eric's knowledge made for an unforgettable day. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Everything that we hoped it would be to see the wine region in one day! Met by our driver, Eric, at Tourism Office on our only Monday in Marseille and joined 3 other couples in the tour van. Stopped at Domaine de Sainte-Ser for tasting of 5 wines on the terrace with the owner. Second stop was Mas de Cadenet for a tasting of 4 wines. Stop in lovely Aix de Provence (1 1/2 hours) for lunch on our own then one more winery tasting at Chateau La Dorgonne, 5 different wines on the terrace. Beautiful views everywhere; opportunity to take photos, tour & buy wines at all 3 stops but certainly no pressure to purchase. Return to Marseille around 5:30PM.
