We booked very last minute and were glad they could accommodate our family of 5. This 4-hour tour was in a taxi vehicle, driver drove us from location to location. Driver was friendly, and picked us up and returned us to our cruise port. Also accommodated our request to visit a market, and the flexibility to spend less time at certain sites was well worth it. The driver does not walk with you into the various locations like a tour guide, which we were ok with because we like moving quickly and had limited time. But if you’re looking for someone to walk with you into places and explain history, details, then recommend you research the places before you go. For us, this was excellent for our brief 5-hour layover in Marseilles.

Laurent did excellent job when we joined his tour. He is best driver and tour guide for our trips comparing our other trips in our cruise shore excursions. He not only gave us a lot of information in the tour, but also help me to carry on/off my scooter in the trip. He also took good pictures for our group and even found my Driver's License in his van and will mail it to me. Thank you so much Laurent.

Laurent knows what he is doing. I could imagine visiting Marseille without this tour. It was a great introduction to the city, it's culture and history. We were able to then make some informed decisions on what to do for the remainder of the trip.

I am sure Laurent is lovely per all of the other reviews. I booked the English tour directly on the company’s website. We were provided with a driver who only spoke French. I made multiple attempts to reach the company when we realized this, but only received voicemail. My email was returned later that evening after hours with an agreement to return our money and an explanation that the driver told Laurent he spoke English.
We used google translate to communicate with the driver that we booked an English speaking tour and needed a guide who spoke English. He called a friend who was able to provide us with a tour, but the friend was not associated with Amazing Provence tours and thus requested payment for the tour. We had to stop by an ATM for cash as we thought we had already prepaid our tour and would not need extra Euros.

This was a great tour!! Not only did we see all there is to see as a tourist in Marseille, but also were shown the hidden gems only locals would know of. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tour during their Marseille travels!

Laurent was a terrific guide; friendly, informative and accommodating (we were traveling with a special needs child and 'accommodating' is a big deal for us). We hit the major highlights with Laurent and it left us able to explore some other areas more in depth after. If your cruise ship stops in Marseille, avoid the group tour and book with Laurent.

Laurent was an excellent guide for this informative and beautiful look at Marseille. We had signed up for the driving and walking 4-hour tour, but because of the heat, we were mostly in the car with stops for photos, and to get a close up look at some of the beautiful sites. Highlights of the tour included Notre-Dame de la Garde and spectacular views from a cliff high atop Cassis. Loved learning about the history of the area from Laurent! We had Marseille as a cruise ship stop and he picked us up and dropped us off right at the ship. Highly recommend this tour.
