    Great walking tour
I arrived on a cruise. The ship was close enough to walk to the tour. The tour was interesting and well paced. The guide was great. She really made us appreciate what Marseille has become.

    Interesting, informative and fun walk.
Angie was our guide and not only was she very knowledgeable, she was also very friendly and had a great sense of humour. We got to visit the side streets round the Vieux Port and learn an awful lot about that area and Marseille.

    Best way to see Marseille
You can tell that Ezequiel truly loved Marseille - the place that he now calls home after moving here from Argentina 11 years ago. He managed the big group very well, keeping us informed of history and stories of Marseille. He pointed out free admissions to various sites that we could visit later. I also enjoyed that we had 10 mins to go inside of Cathédrale La Major. Highly recommended!!

    Simply excellent
We started our visit of Marseille by taking Ezequiel's tour of the Vieux Port and the Panier. We could not have had a better introduction to the history and politics of the city, which is essential to a proper appreciation of Marseille. Ezequiel is as knowledgeable as he's fun, and he shares his enthusiasm for the city generously. Be generous in return, he's more than worth it! Highly recommended.

    Precious experience
Just arrived in Marseille and didn't know where to start my visit. Asked the staff hostel who recommended me this organisation, so I booked my place for the next morning. In just 2 hours, I could get a broad sightseeing of the city, suggestions about how to spend the next 2 days and explanations on how to visit the Calanques, which I really wanted to do. Plans all set! Thanks to Ezequiel, I could get a good sight about this city's treasure, history, architecture and atmosphere. That was a precious discovery!

    Love local Guruwalk guides
Another wonderful free walking tour...have used guruwalk for years and have yet to be disappointed. Our Marseille tour guide (confirmation listed Ezequiel as our guide but he said his name was "Yam" (spelling? ) was entertaining, enlightening and informative. Plus, his side-bar banter and humor made the 2 hour tour that much more fun and enjoyable. Bottom line, the tour was a delightful romp around the old port to the eclectic Panier district showcasing the many evolving changes taking place in Marseille over the past few years. highly recommend, especially if you can get "Yam" as your guide...just please remember to generously tip your local guru guide as it may be their sole means of support. Happy traveling.

City / Panier free tour with Ezekiel. Great tour.
Just a great tour. Have done these around the world and this guy is very good. Informative, interesting, a great way to learn about the city and into streets we probably would have missed. Group was quite large, but well managed and we could always hear his commentary. Would fully recommend.

    Wonderful walking tour of Marseille
We always do a walking tour as one of our first activities when going to a new city and have done many over the years. This was the best one I can remember going to - the personal anecdotes and stories weaved into so much historical knowledge was amazing. The thought behind the tour including being prepared with photos and maps was incredible. Ezekiel was a fantastic tour guide and was fantastic at giving recommendations after the tour had finished. I could have carried on talking to him for hours! Would highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Marseille.

    No show!!
It did not even deserve one out of five as they did not show up. Lots of reminders to turn up and where and how to meet prior to the day. But it was a no show and there were at least 3 or 4 other couples waiting. No notification or explanation whatsoever, let alone an apology. Just no show!! Don’t bother booking!!

    Spectacular
A definite must do when in Marseilles. The church patronised by sailors from all across the world and the plaques prove it. The views of the city are spectacular and you can see the whole bay.

Best part of our visit to Marseilles:)
We had a great time on this walking tour Sunday! The guide was friendly & very informative. He is from Brazil but his English is excellent. Sometimes when you go on “English language tours” in Europe, Their English may be hard to understand…not the case here. Highly rec if you want to visit Marseilles to try to time your stay here based on when his tour is available. It was the highlight of our 4 night stay here. Thank you!

My husband and I joined Ezequiel for a well-informed tour of the area.
We really enjoyed learning from him about the multiple instances of deconstruction and construction throughout history.
We learned of the local livelihood there and also got some great recommendations for how to further enjoy the city.
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like to experience And learn a bit more About this part of Marseille

Yam was a very engaging and delightful tour guide. He gave us enough information to make us enjoy the tour without being overwhelmed. I learned a good bit even though I had done a lot of reading already. Love Marseille!

We had Frederica as our guide and I can say she is very good, informing nice facts with a pleasant walk. Her English is perfect to understand for a non-native!

Had an amazing tour with Federica today!! I’ve been traveling through Europe for 3 weeks doing free walking tours in each city and this was one of the best! Federica is so friendly and knowledgeable, and she gave us great ideas for food, souvenirs and things to do in Marseille. I tried the vanille noir flavor at the vanille noir gelato place she recommended and it was so good!!
