- ChristineMJ10 contributionsGreat tour in a vintage carWe have a terrific time today touring Monte Carlo and the surrounding area. What a great vintage convertible! Our driver and tour guide, Phillip, was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable. We’d highly recommend this tour.Written June 5, 2024
- Seaside7420590 contributionsGreat overview of wonderful placesOur driver was informative plus calm and persistent in getting us to the locations in Monaco and Canne despite F1 preparations and the film festival respectively. We covered a lot but he made it interesting with lots of history.Written May 23, 2024
- megancO1982EM0 contributionsGorgeous place and professional guide! We have organized a city tour of Monaco for the last two years with Sunny Days, while visiting for the Monte-Carlo tennis tournament. Marie is wonderful to work with and very organized. Our tour guide Frederic, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly with the guests-- he led us through the streets of Monaco and explained the history of the principality. We saw the changing of the guard in Palace Square, visited Casino Square, took a short water taxi across the port, and had time to explore the old town of Monaco. We saw many gorgeous views of the sea along the way. Thank you for the great experience! We hope to see you again in 2025. - Topnotch Tennis ToursWritten April 19, 2024
- TBGBoodler0 contributionsToo much time at a perfume "factory" and only 50 minutes in Monaco. The views were lovely and the drive was beautiful, but nearlh TWO hours at a perfume factory, away from the town and far below the town of Eze the tour claimed to take us to. Nowhere to sit, nothing to do at this place once you spend the 10 minutes to tour the "factory," where people in lab coats hold up glass bottles of liquid. An expensive shop, too, of course. The driver dropped us off there and pointed up to the top of a hill and told us we could climb up to the town if we wanted to. We are not able to do that, but even if we could, she could have taken us a bit closer. Then, on to Monaco, where, instead of dropping us off and parking the car herself, the driver dragged us through parking garages and elevators until she said, "We'll meet back here in 50 minutes." TWO hours at a useless perfume "factory" and then 50 minutes in Monaco. "Don't eat in a restaurant, you won't have time!" she told us. If we hadn't been stuck at a useless perfume "factory" for two hours maybe we would have had time for lunch in Monaco. Avoid this tour. Take a train to Monaco and then take all the time you want to explore the area on your own.Written October 26, 2022
- Kathryn D0 contributionsLovely villagesThis was a great trip. We visited 3 lovely mountain villages and sea towns of Antibes and Canne and had just the right amount of time at each. Our guide, Placido was very nice, knowledgeable and knew all the best places to pull over for photos, etc. Also had a short tour at the Fragonard factory which I found very interesting. Definitely a great tour to get a taste of Provence.Written September 27, 2019
- MaryannF6500 contributionsBEST OF TOURS IN NICE WITH ANTONIO!My husband and I were visiting Nice prior to embarking on Emerald Waterways River Cruise of Lyon and Provence. After being disappointed with our walking and motor coach tour in Nice, we decided to book this tour recommended by our concierge at Splendid Hotel. They were fully booked for the full day tour so we opted to take the half-day tour of St. Paul, Antibes & Cannes 65 e per person. WHAT A BARGAIN! Antonio picked us up at the hotel. As he drove, he provided us with a commentary of the landmarks and famous sites along the way. He was an extremely careful driver and very knowledgeable of the French Riviera. According to available literature, "St. Paul de Vence is a medieval village, sheltered behind its ramparts is for sure one of the most beautiful places in the world. Discovered by famous painters, St. Paul is fascinating not only for its charm but also for its great cultural and artistic influences. "The natural beauty of Antibes remains in the old town with the ramparts along the sea and the arched wall along the marina. There are plenty of little streets to explore. Marvel at the world's largest yachts in the Port Vauban and the largest marina in the French Mediterranean. "So many things to see in Cannes! Embellished by palm trees and fine sandy beaches. Famous cafe-terraces, elegant shops and deluxe hotels have made it famous around the world. Discover the film festival and conference center. Free time to stroll and shop as well." Departure at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cash only! The only negative of the tour since most seniors do not carry a lot of cash for obvious reasons. If we can afford a $15,000 river cruise, I think we are good for over 100 e (per couple) on our credit card. PLEASE CHANGE THAT RULE! As I stated to the booking agent, you don't need a credit machine to take credit. USE THE CREDIT FORM! Unbelievably fantastic photographs. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!Written September 15, 2019
- gfbftravel0 contributionsWonderful Tour!Great way to see the area and leave the driving to someone else. Everything went smoothly. From Marie who helped me book the tour and who was responsive to all my questions and Phillip who gave us a wonderful tour full of great sights and stories. Sunnydays was even accomodating in making sure we made it to our lunch reservation at the Chateau Eze. Great day out. Comfortable, clean car. We were a group of four and all enjoyed!Written August 7, 2019
- ImamAbid0 contributionssightseeing of Eze, Monaco, and Monte CarloIt was amazing tour for me and my friends, everyone liked this tour. We really enjoyed a lot. and it was economical.Written June 30, 2019
- Nottravelmuch0 contributionsA Full DayEnjoyed our tour. It was a full day. The perfume tour was informative. Eze was lovely to explore but I wouldn’t suggest that portion for anyone with mobility issues. It was nice to sit back and let someone else do the driving and worry about parking in Monaco. A few hours there for lunch and a quick walk around was plenty of time. We went into the Oceanography museum but it was so busy and the app for the tour was not user friendly. A short visit to Monte Carlo casino just to say you went. You don’t have to pay an entrance fee just to play the slots.Written April 23, 2019
- yegpsychological0 contributionsGreat Tour! This was a really thorough tour and we ended up seeing a lot of the French Riviera which would have been difficult on our own. We really appreciated our host’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. This is a perfect way to see the FR!Written December 19, 2018
- TomL21930 contributionsNo quite a wasted dayThere were enough good things to see and do to keep us from calling this tour a total waste. We signed up for this tour because we wanted to see Monaco AND the rest of the sites on this tour sounded interesting. We did enjoy Monaco where our tour guide (I think his name was Leo) dropped us off and met us an hour later. We enjoyed walking to the palace and seeing the church where Princess Grace was married. Back in the van we were driven to a perfume factory. Including this sham on the tour is downright stupid. The six Americans on the tour refused to go in while the two Argentines complied. An hour later we were on our way to Eze where Leo took us to the base of large hill and gave us twenty minutes to walk to the top, see old town Eze and walk back. Once again, only the Argentines complied. We returned to Nice where the other four Americans left the tour. We were given 45 minutes to eat lunch on our own then rejoined Leo with the Argentines to drive to Cannes and Antibes. Driver Leo apparently preferred to speak Spanish as he gabbed constantly tn Spanish with the Argentine couple while we sat isolated in the back of the van. Once again, after a brief description of the Cannes Film Festival, Leo dropped us off to explore on our own then met us an hour later. From there we drove inland to St Paul de Vence where we were given a brief overview of its history then sent into town on our own for an hour. It's a neat little town on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The historical nature of the town is lost in all of the commercial ventures that occupy it. It felt more like a Disneyland shopping area than a historic French village. I wish I had researched a way to do this tour in a rented car.Written October 8, 2018
- Lynda kathleen H0 contributionsExcellent tourThe guide was very knowledgeable and helped us keep on schedule as best anyone could with the tunnel closures in Monaco because of the rain!Written October 6, 2018
- 376abhimanyug0 contributionsStunning viewsThe view from Jardin botanique d'Èze is dazzling. Worth every penny for the entry fee. Take the public bus route to Eze from Nice - the views are fantastic, and then again take the public bus down to Monte Carlo. Best public bus ride ever!Written August 16, 2018
- TracyinSuburbia0 contributionsIt wasn’t what I exoectedOn the website, they call this their Countryside Tour, which led me to believe that we would have a guide taking us through the small villages we planned to see. However, there was no guide, just a driver who brought us from one village to the next and then waited while we walked around. I spoke with some others on my tour and they had been under the same impression. Despite the lack of guide, I had a nice day exploring the small streets in Grasse, St. Paul, and Gourdon on my own, doing some shopping and eating. However, if someone is truly looking for a tour guide to take them through the villages, I recommend you look elsewhere.Written July 9, 2018
