About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Stockbridge40 contributionsShort and underwhelming boat trip. This is exactly what it is. A trip on a boat for 60 minutes. I suppose it would be more spectacular on a bright Mediterranean summers day but in March it was cold and windy. I now know that Elton John, Sean Connery and Brad Pitt all have or had houses on the cote d’Azur and you have to slow down when in a bay. Also the guide pointing out the hotels on the Promenade des Anglais is quite amusing as all the names are on the side of the buildings. All in all pleasant enough on the day and the price is about right for what you get.Written March 24, 2025

- 995diamondc0 contributionsShort Sweet and FunThis cruise was short and sweet. Perfect for me because I didn't want something long and overwhelming.... taking up all my day. I also didnt wanna get wet....I didnt get wet at all. The top of boat was full so if you want to be in that area come early. We didnt want to sit up there. We wanted to be in the front of the boat. The crew was fun ,friendly ,and knowledgeable. The switch back and forth from French to English as they explain the sites...❤️😍🇫🇷 Au Revoir @DiamondStylzWritten March 6, 2025
- Vanessa S0 contributionsBoat rideThe guide is good. Lovely views. Interesting to hear about the owners of the villas and some associated history. The skyline of Nice from the bay’s perspective is beautiful.Written February 26, 2025

- 808viviennei0 contributionsFabulous tour!It was fantastic! The sea was quite rough after storms the previous day but the captain and crew were great. Some of us got a little wet but it was OK... there was a lot of laughing about the ride. The scenery was incredible and the information given was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.Written September 29, 2024

- 460mauriceh0 contributionsWell worth the cost for a delightful experience.Great boat ride with commentary on all the interesting sites. Need to sit near a speaker to hear well, but worth it for the story and history. Bright sunny cool day in September. Great for a cruise.Written September 24, 2024
- W1852NVteresal0 contributionsHad a great time!Loved this trip and the commentary in both French and English was interesting and informative. The waves and spray were exhilarating and seeing the land from the bay gave us a new perspective. Being able to buy a glass of sparkling wine on board was the finishing touch to a very enjoyable hour-long trip.Written September 8, 2024
- brucek5630 contributionsEven if you are on-time they will leave you behindThe 3 of us arrived at the dock at exactly 3 pm on my I phone. The boat was still tied to the dock but the gangway was already up. The crew refused to let us on. I contacted the operator twice and have not been messaged back.Written September 7, 2024
- NinaMascha0 contributionsLovely TripWe booked the tour a day in advance and loved it very much! The guide showed great expertise in English and French and gave some interesting insight into the landscape. It was a really hot day so we enjoyed being on the water with some wind. The seating area on deck has great views but minimal shadow. If you are very sensitive to the sun like me I recommend bringing a hat or umbrella as sun protection. We enjoyed the trip greatly!Written September 6, 2024
- Marie48810 contributionsRefreshing Riviera RideLovely boat ride to see the stunning coastline. Refreshing break from the summer sun. Great photo opportunities. Next time we would opt for the sunset tour with swimming opportunity.Written August 30, 2024
- Yardyboy0 contributionsAn excellent short boat sightseeing trip from the port of Niceexcellent short boat sightseeing trip from the port of Nice and well worth the 24 Euros!, collection of tickets very straight forward and we sat at the front of this lovely clean boat. Whole trip was 1 hour and no complaints what so ever. if you're looking for a short boat trip and your expectations are as such and are realistic about what you are going to see during a 1 hour round trip, then I can highly recommend this.Written August 25, 2024
- 40kene0 contributionsRipped offI don’t mind being a tourist and paying high prices every once in a while for things that would cost a lot less if you weren’t in the cote d’azure. But these guys take the cake. The trip was a short cruise along the coast, pleasant enough. In the middle of the cruise, they opened the bar, I bought a couple of beers for myself and another couple that was traveling with us for a total of 10 euros. Later they came forward to where we were sitting with what they said was the last bottle, (25 cl) of rosé champagne. I said sure, and when they poured the two glasses of champagne, I pulled out of 10 and he said “oh no, for champagne it’s €25.” I thought that was outrageous but I gave him a 50 and he came back and gave me five Euro’s change. I thought he was going to go back to the bar and give me the extra 20 that I was owed, but he never did. Not wanting to make a scene in front of ourguests, I determined to just get my revenge by leaving them this review. They even had the nerve to stand at the end of the gangway and ask for tips. I looked at them and told them, “f$@! you.” Please be careful of these literal pirates at sea.Written August 25, 2024

I enjoyed the ferry ride since I got a good spot on the upper desk but not so much St Tropez itself. After 2.5 hours we arrived to St. Tropez at 11:30am and basically just had time to walk around and have a lunch. We had to be back for the ferry at 4:10pm. The town is underwhelming, overcrowded and overpriced. I know there are nice beaches but they are can only be reached by car. If I ever come back to St Tropez it will be with a rented car not a ferry boat.

Just over 2 hours from Nice port and we were in St Tropez! An amazing journey there and back in the August sun with a happy and helpful crew. Little bar on board for drinks was good. The top deck allowed for sun seekers and catch some rays, whilst others could relax down below with views through the windows. The mass of people getting onboard at Cannes with their huge suitcases was a bit too much - perhaps a storage area would be best for them. But it didn't spoil the overall trip. Arrival at St Tropez and walking through the port passed Chanel and into the harbour front town itself was cool. From there were dined in a shore-facing restaurant watching the mega yachts do their thing! As they do in St Tropez! A good day out and well worth the experience!

A very enjoyable full day trip. The crew were really pleasant and helpful and the boat ride both interesting and comfortable. Having said that, it was a little bumpy, even on a day with only light winds. The bar only seemed to accept cash and not cards, which is worth bearing in mind.
Four hours in St Tropez was pushing it a little bit, though it was memorable and certainly worth the visit. I, personally, would have liked to have spent three hours in St Tropez and had one hour to explore St Marguerite island, where we stopped briefly on the way to Cannes.
Nevertheless, it was an excellent day out!

Although it was only overcast on the day, our ferry ride was very choppy and people were feeling sick. They offered us vomit bags so that was good but when I booked I was imagining a lovely scenic view along the famous Cote d'Azur coast over a 2.5 hour boat ride to St Tropez so I could see more of the coast as part of my holiday. There were no views as we mostly saw land occasionally at a distance on the water. The ferry was very noisy all the way so that didn't help. As we arrived on a Thursday we couldn't see the Butterfly Museum which is closed Thursdays and the Street Market only operates Tuesdays and Saturdays so that diminished the amount of things to see but I did enjoy the Annonciade Museum though did not enjoy inside the boring historical Maritime Museum of Citadelle de St Tropez though the views were good there. I'm from Australia where we have plenty of gigantic soft sand beaches and the piddly little beaches at St Tropez harbour were embarrassingly small. You can't call that a beach! All the cafes along the wharf were expectedly expensive. I didn't understand the attraction of St Tropez and I wished I hadn't wasted one full day of my holidays using a 5 hour return choppy unpleasant ferry ride to a place I didn't care for and wouldn't return to. I should have instead visited Eze and Antibes and Monaco on a day tour with a tour guide and van. I should have read the reviews here before booking so be warned, it isn't that great to take a long ferry ride to St Tropez from Nice, spend a few hours there and come back. Spend your time more wisely enjoying the French Riviera elsewhere.

Boat ride from Nice to St. Tropez from 9 AM to 7 PM, where you arrived around 12 PM and take the boat back at 4.30 PM. So you only have like 4 hours max in St Tropez and you pay 78 EUR for a round trip, that's expensive if you don't even have a half day to spend there and the round trip is for the same day, you can't take the way back on another day. On Tuesdays you have a central market, so you are already strolling through the market for 1 hour, then you only have 3 hours left to see some of the village, which is not enough. Of course I went back there and found a cheaper way. Just take the train to St Raphael for around 20 EUR round trip and there you take the boat to St Tropez with Les Bateaux Blues for 42 EUR a round trip and you decide your return date and time.

Ferry tickets are expensive, Cannes is the last stop before Ste. Tropez, good luck finding an open bench for a family.
Overcrowded, unsafe seamanship practices, people sitting on the stairways blocking escape routes.
The weather in the Mediterranean can change in a dime. This a disaster waiting to happen much like the overcrowded migrant boats capsizing in rough seas off the coast of Greece.
Stay away.

This is a terribly organized and run ferry to St Tropez. They purposefully book more tickets to St Tropez than can fit on the return boats to Cannes or Nice, so many are left to wait for a later boat; you can tell this is the case because of the announcements they make over the PA on the boat to St Tropez. Further, they make no effort to control people jumping the queue by opening other gates, etc. I would strongly recommend looking at other options for a day trip to St Tropez.

This was the most horrendous boat trip I’ve ever been on in my life. The conditions out at sea were horrific and we were not warmed. It should not have been allowed to go. There was no scenic views just people vomiting and screaming all around you. Staff just handed out sick bags to everyone. It was disgusting. An hour and a half of pure hell. Ruined the day in St Tropez because we were so sea sick. Had to spend over 4 hours getting home on a bus and train. No one around at ticket offices to complain to. Once they’ve got your money 120 euros too, not particularly cheap, they don’t care. Not exaggerating how horrendous it was.

The ferry is on time, by the minute. Bravo! Small drawbacks: they handle more passengers than the number of seats available. Also, nothing says in the description that the ferry will make two stops between Nice and Saint-Tropez to embark other passengers. Also, it is a ferry only (means of transport). No Guide, no audio commentary as advertised. If you are thinking of taking a cruise, forget it.

Never again..... the boat ride is too jumpy, people were vomiting, heat was unbearable and my 2 years old was so sick we had to leave at Cannes even if we reserved the ride until St. TROPEZ
please make people aware that this could happen (and according to the crew this happens very often) especially as people might have small babies (or exclude small babies from the booking system). This was very dangerous in our opinion.
One good point, the crew was extremely nice!!

we would like to travel from nice to st tropez by ferry, but plan to stay a week on st tropez. Can we still buy a return ticket, or a one way ticket. Do we have to return the same day or can we return a week later? thank you for your advice, Judi.

Hi, can you travel to St. Tropez on the ferry and return on a different day? Or does the round trip have to be the same day?

Can anyone please tell me how far the ferry port is from the Mercure hotel on promenade des anglais and also if the boat stops at Cannes?
Written October 14, 2018
Hi Debbie, with no traffic (we went on Sunday early in the morning) it is about 8 minutes by car from your hotel. I would not recommend to do this walking as it might be 20 to 30 min walking. We took a taxi. Every taxi driver knows where the port is. Better to be early as the tickets say (around 20 min before departure). I hope it helped!
Written November 20, 2018
Hi there, I afraid there is no pick up system. The ferry leaves from the port as per schedule daily and you have to make your own way there and back. Just to let you know, I bought my tickets in advance ( the day before ) from the booth ( they only accept cash ). This is all done to keep down costs but the experience was great whether travelling to Cannes or St Tropez. Enjoy.
