About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- wer4travel0 contributionsGreat taxi service. Definitely not a guided tour.We enjoyed visiting the 5 or so cities the tour highlighted. There was a variety to see of the Provence area. Our issue was the driver was also the tour guide and no listening devices were offered. At least 80% of the information and details of the area that was provided was given as she was driving and facing forward. We were in a 3 row passenger van. The first row heard most of what she said, the second row heard some and the third heard absolutely nothing. We were dropped off in all but two of the stops and left to navigate/tour on our own. I honestly can’t recommend this tour unless you’re just looking for a taxi service.Written October 2, 2024
- Blair F0 contributionsWonderful day.We really enjoyed and recommend this all day tour. Brigitte was a great guide. We were able to do walking on our own at each site which we enjoyed. Thanks for a wonderful day.Written September 29, 2024
- P5542KWandreaz0 contributionsPerfect day - perfect guideAmazing day - couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Towns visited were excellent and information provided was top notch. Terrific experience highly recommend.Written September 29, 2024
- C5337KEianm0 contributionsGreat sights, poor deliveryProvence was great but sitting at the back of the van I could hear perhaps 20% of what the tour guide said, even after saying I couldn't hear. On a long tour that's hours of frustration, not professional and definitely not value for money.Written September 29, 2024
- Tim R0 contributionsTerrific small group tour of important Provence destinationsWe saw so many places that we could not have seen on our own and although it was a very long day the guide made the driving and the tour very enjoyable.Written September 22, 2024
- janesM8416AG0 contributionsLong day AND worth it!Great tour. So great to not have to think about parking, driving and directions. This covers a lot of good sights. Bring your own water! Other folks on tour fun!Written September 19, 2024
- cathyrP797ZL0 contributionsA great time exploring quaint and historic villages. We had a fabulous day exploring the stunning villages of Roussillon, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Gourde, St Remi and the Roman Aqueduct. Our guide Brigette was very friendly and knowledgeable. A great time was had by all. Highly recommend.Written September 13, 2024
- Carogemini0 contributionsworth doingThere were 5 people on this tour with guide Bridgitte.Sadly a wet day and Bridgitte very considerate and rearranged the village order to suit the weather. By the time we got to St. Remy it had stopped raining, and ended at the amazing ponte garde. Lunch at Fontaine de Vauclause where it was pouring so an hour in a nice French restaurant ideal. all in all a great day tourWritten September 12, 2024
- StanleyC9570 contributionsOur South of France tourThe tour was very well guided and overall was excellent - the driver/guide (Thierry) gave a very good outline of the history of Avignon, Nîmes and giving us sufficient time explore. There was just the issue on the meeting point pick up miscommunication which caused the tour to be delayed - felt the operator was not very responsive.Written September 9, 2024
- alexandrajR2353IF0 contributionsGreat experience and amazing value! This trip was amazing! If you are genuinely interested in the history of the area and the way they make wine this tour is a real treat. The guide was very knowledgeable and the different tastings were fantastic. The lunch was phenomenal and the location was an absolute dream. I went with my husband who doesn’t know as much about wine and he was genuinely happy to have the chance to learn. Absolute value for your money, not to mention they do not skimp on the quantity of wine during each tasting. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.Written August 15, 2024
- selenag6340 contributionsDavid showed our family the best day ever!Eight members of our family spent 10 days in France together, and this was indeed the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, David, was exceptional. He told the stories and the facts of the day with such enthusiasm and knowledge. We all learned so much! The three places he chose for us to visit in Chateuneuf du Pape were a really nice mixture of old and new, with superb wines throughout. The lunch was excellent in a beautiful place. We never felt rushed and David catered to all of us, especially Nanny! The humour on the trip made the day special. Remember to bring water with you on a hot day!Written August 7, 2024
- yogimommy0 contributionsFun and engaging!Nico was the best tour guide. In addition to his knowledge of the areas we visited and all things lavender, he brought a great sense of humor and enthusiasm to the group that made this day extra special. Thank you, Nico!Written August 5, 2024
- L9617MSkevinz0 contributionsExcellent historical tourWe visited several ancient Roman sites. Our guide, Brigid, was also very hospitable and was happy to let us take a bit of extra time at the pont-du-gard. We had a great half day trip!Written August 5, 2024

- Lauradyer33330 contributionsHighly recommend!Nico was amazing guide and made sure we were comfortable the whole time, despite it being a very hot day! He was wonderful at adapting along the way and customizing the experience for us and the other couple that was on the tour with us. He created a fun environment where we were comfortable asking questions and making friends with others on our tour! Absolutely recommend!Written July 21, 2024

The half day vineyard tour from Avignon was so much more than we anticipated. Not only was our host David a great driver, but he was friendly, knowledgeable, and showed a great passion for the region and the wine making process. We learned a great deal and were guided through both a horizontal and vertical tasting. Thank you for a great experience. Highly recommend.

Thierry is a great driver and wonderful host. Our group included guests from 3 different English speaking countries and he did a great job explaining the wine regions as we drove along. His knowledge of the wine making process is excellent. We have been on many of these wine tasting tours and this was the best.

We were grateful for the pickup as we were staying at a hotel just outside of town and with this being a wine tasting tour, neither of us wanted to drive. After our pickup we went into town to collect another 2 couples. A very interesting tour with some good stops showing us what the region had to offer including the renowned Chateau Neuf de Papes region. Along with stops to taste, we also had stops by some lovely vineyards for views and get a real sense of the region. A small group made it very personal. Would recommend this tour.

This wine tour was excellent. Our guide, Nicola, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines of the Cote du Rhone. Although we had been on several wine tours previously, my wife and I both learned a lot from Nicola. Highly recommended.

Attempted to cancel this tour almost two months in advance. Didn’t receive my cancel confirmation immediately so forgot about it and didn’t follow up (my mistake). Lost over $350. Beware, if you need to cancel, follow up, as they may not cancel on your first request.

The organisation was good. David our guide/driver was knowledgeable and interesting. We tasted a range of wines from 2 vineyards and learnt a lot about the wines and grapes in the area. I would unhesitatingly recommend this tour by Provence Panorama. I really enjoyed it (and purchased some wine at reasonable prices). It was not rushed.

David was an excellent guide and has a passion and knowledge about grape cultivation. The first wine testing place he took us was a local small winery where the owner personally led the tasting and wine selection was exceptional. We left the tour with a box of wine we bought from both the local winery and cave, I think it says enough about how much we liked it 😉

This was the highlight of our trip to France. The vineyards were beautiful, the wine delicious, the group was a blast. David, our tour guide, was the man! Such a deep knowledge of the wine and the region. Could not imagine a better experience.

Fred was a brilliant tour guide. Very informative and entertaining. We tried several wines from a couple of different vineyards. Fred was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a brilliant insight into the history and process of winemaking.

We have been on many wine tours in many different countries, and they have ranged from very good to outstanding. This tour, however, was very weak and disappointing. Other wine tours we have been on have included knowledgeable guides, a rapport with the wineries visited, visits to the vineyard and/or cellars with information on the local wine cultivation and production, and either a lunch or a cheese platter included. This tour included none of the above.
We did see beautiful countryside, and we did taste some good wines, but the guide did not have much wine knowledge, and the wineries did not seem to have any rapport with the tour company and did not offer visits to the vineyard or cellar. Instead, the tour guide simply walked us through the cellar. As we were on a half-day tour, we knew there would be no lunch, but neither was there any food platter of any kind.
Another problem was that, as the guide was speaking in the van, my husband was extremely annoyed as he couldn't hear her most of the time although he was right behind her.
This company seems to be geared more to sightseeing, but if you want to experience a good wine tour in the region, I would recommend going with a company which specializes in wine tours. We went with a wine tour company when we were in Avignon several years ago, and it was excellent. We would have gone with them again but our schedule didn't fit with theirs.

Thank you!
