About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 674sameeri0 contributionsGreat and friendly staffAmazing driver and tour guide. Made sure we were all comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Very knowledgeable guide who answered all our questions and taught us a lot about Vanuatu. We went from Warwick to the zipline, banana bay, blue lagoon, then back. Highly recommend.Written October 18, 2024
- ljw198520230 contributionsHuge disappointment, I wouldn’t bother.Huge disappointment I will start by saying our tour guide Charlie was amazing. We booked this mainly for the waterfalls and Eden tour, which never happened. We found out as we drove past the stops. We never got to meet the kids. We paid a lot of money to spend 45minutes at the lagoon and a very very below average lunch. The cultural show was great, the locals are awesome people. Wouldn’t recommend, they seriously need to up their game as other tours we went on for the same price were exceptional.Written October 17, 2024
- T5158OKianr0 contributionsBeautiful Blue LagoonBlue Lagoon and Eden on the River are amazingly beautiful locations and well worth the trip. Blue Lagoon was crystal clear and lots of fun! Eden on the River is such a pretty location and the water there is so refreshing. We also enjoyed a couple of beers and a delicious pizza while we were there! Our driver, Ishmael, and guide, Justin, from Atmosphere Tours were awesome! Justin's commentary and knowledge during our trip were excellent and very informative. His knowledge of local history and culture is exceptional. Would highly recommend this tour to all who visit beautiful Vanuatu!Written October 16, 2024
- craigbD316GV0 contributionsBest Tour Guide in VanuatuIn September 2024, my extended family and I (14 in total) had an amazing day touring Port Vila with our entertaining tour guide, Justin, and our driver, Charlie, from Atmosphere Tours Vanuatu. We travelled to see traditional performances by local villagers and learned a little about the island cultures and old traditional customs, then had a BBQ buffet for lunch at the beautiful Banana Bay Beach Club, swam at The Blue Lagoon Springs, and the cascade falls at Eden on the River, and visited some city landmarks and a duty free shop before being safely returned to our cruise ship on time. It was well worth the money. Justin’s knowledge of the area and his engaging and entertaining persona made for a very enjoyable day-trip. Justin showed much gratitude to our group for choosing Atmosphere Tours and he spoke fondly of his country and its people, and his employer, thanking us on behalf them. It was very refreshing to hear. When we returned to our cruise ship, he was smiling and waving until we were no longer in sight. With a clear love for his job and Vanuatu, Justin is a credit to Atmosphere Tours, and we hope to give him more business in future. - O3283TAdavidb0 contributionsImportant part of Vanuatu’s history. The domain and the story of Chief Roi Mata is a pivotal part of ni-Vanuatu history and culture. It was worthwhile to visit the site as well as the related sites of fele cave on Lelepa and the village. Depending on tides you might have to wade out to the boat so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet.Written September 1, 2024
- robmU2962ZD0 contributionsExcellent tour for something differentGreat tour and excellent guide. Despite the weather not being perfect the tour carried on albeit modified to take the weather into account. We couldnt get to Hat Island but saw addtional parts of the coast which were stunning. I would not recomend booking through Tripadvisor, they were over twice the price that a fellow traveller booked directly with the local tour company.Written August 3, 2024
- V2741WTjulies0 contributionsA very special day, a wonderful experience seeing the real Vanuatu. We left our resort to travel to a local village where a very amusing and charming man gave us an insight to village life, their customs and fishing methods. We were also treated to the local tribal band for entertainment and experienced a fire walker for the first time, such a very brave man. From the village we travelled to the beautiful Blue Lagoon, where we were able to swim in the gorgeous blue salty water. Such a very special swim. The area is so very well set out for families to come and spend a day. From the Blue Lagoon we travelled on to the iguanas (we were able to hold these beautiful and quiet creatures) and the turtle nursery. At the nursery there were babies (around 5-6 months old) and 5 older turtles in an enclosed ocean pool. Such a wonderful experience. After we left the turtles we came to the beautiful Cascades, again such a beautiful place, with swimming optional. A very special day seeing the real Vanuatu.Written July 31, 2024
- Navigate4306090 contributionsA great day out of Port Vila - highly recommended. We're so glad that we took this trip. We had booked the 'Cultural and Snorkelling' tour, but ended up on this one. Saw a school, Cultural village show, river swim (beautiful!), had a great lunch, and then the Blue Lagoon. Justin and Charley were great guides - so knowledgeable and informative. We learnt so much about the island. It really was well worthwhile. Highly recommended.Written June 29, 2024
- A7969NSrobd0 contributionsTerrible, inconsiderate disserviceI would advise not to use their transfer service. I was twice left waiting over a hour to be taken to my hotel once on initial arrival and again after coming back from Solomons. Their excuse waiting for other passengers on a different plane. On transfer to leave I was told 1.15 pm pickup for a 5pm flight which was way too early, when I asked to make it 3pm ,they told they me won't do it which meant 3.40 hr wait at airport. It feels like it's for their convenience and not the paying passengerWritten June 25, 2024
- 947stormj0 contributionsP&O shore tour cultural village & eden blue lagoonDisappointed in this tour , it was not long enough to swim nor enjoy the lagoon we have heard so much about. We where given 1 hour.. by the time you use the only english toilet, as there is only 1 to share amongst everyone else on the tours you have wasted a good half hour, then, by the time you walk down to it, take a photo it's time to walk back n get back on the tour bus. For a shore tour that cost $130 we where rushed around. Spent more time on the tour bus then anything else. If you want to see this lagoon I suggest you talk to a guide off the ship and get a private tour instead for $50 . It does cost $10 to swim here so that's extra. Atleast then you can actually enjoy the lagoon. I'm so disappointed we missed out on what was supposed to be an amazing day swimming.Written May 21, 2024
- Lanka2019march0 contributionsUnreliable and LateBooked Atmosphere for transfer from Iriki Island Jetty, adjacent to Grand Hotel Casino Port Villa, to airport on Monday 13 May 2024 for 12.15pm pick up. Did not arrive until at least 12.50 pm. At this point we were in a taxi leaving the pickup point. Our drive was extremely friendly, dropped us directly at the departure door. Wish l had thought to get his name to provide a 5 star review for him. On arrival in Vanuatu, at 2am Friday 3rd May, we, along with 14 others, were picked up in a dilapidated, questionably safe vehicle. One passenger was forced to sit on a fold down seat at the back of bus, probably was the seat was exactly that, folded down with no back or seat belt accessible. Save yourselves the stress and anxiety of missing your flight, book a taxi or hail a bus to take you to airport - safer, more efficient and friendlier.Written May 13, 2024
- ConversationalFunnel0 contributionsWorst Transfer - BewareThis was one of the worse transfers and I have traveled to over 140 countries… Unfortunately, I booked both a pickup and drop off with atmosphere… On the pickup, I had to wait for an hour in the van whose AC barely worked in the hot sun… and to make things worse, the van had ants crawling all over the seat… On the drop off, atmosphere did not respond to my email 24 hours asking for a confirmation… I had an early 6:30 am flight and need to leave promptly at 4:00 am… it is very unprofessional when they do not respond… I messaged them and got no response… I contacted the third party booking and they called and got no response… When atmosphere finally responded at 8 pm at night (and I was sleeping on o wake up at 3 am for a 4 am pickup), they did not even apologize… they said the third party sends a confirmation email and so they routinely do not respond in addition to this… The next morning at 4 am they did not show up… and so I had to order another taxi… This service is unprofessional and unreliable… and completely lacking in customer service and responsiveness…Written March 13, 2024

- D8685UUheatherl0 contributionsBeautiful swimmingEden is really beautiful and not too cold for swimming. The lagoon is more for the young, and very busy, but they did have a quiet end for swimming. We also stopped at the city markets and duty free which was a bonus I didn’t expect. Nice tour guide.Written March 3, 2024
- warren_winkler0 contributionsNice guides but expensive for what we gotWe enjoyed this tour but the tour operator was late and we had to chase them up on the telephone. It seems the local tour operator only notified the guide the night prior and he had to skip his normal work to take us. The trip was supposed to include entry fees but the local guide had insufficient cash to cover it. Also no complementary fruit was supplied. An expensive trip that could have been done for less than half the price by booking once we got there.Written February 28, 2024

We waited for other person one hour before leaving port vila. Because we were only two we couldn't go to the village.
We instead of going to the included beach, we stopped to another one and they asked me to pay 2000vatu more.
We couldn't visit the world war 2 heritage neither because it was closed.
We had a car crash and almost died, driver/guide spent 2hours looking for the truck involved.
We went back in vila at 3pm.
Since no refund, no news for the company either.
I'm now fighting with my bank to get a refund for this terrible experience.
Never again!

What a brilliant tour. William went above and beyond to deliver an insightful and fun packed day out.
We asked a million questions and were amazed by the depth of knowledge our new friend Bill displayed.
Trouble free booking, outstanding tour and customer service
You should all stand up and take a bow.
Five stars - thank you

William was our tour guide and it was such a pleasure to meet him. He is funny and chill and always open to share stories about Vanuatu and traditional cultures. We went to ekasup village, blue lagoon and hideaway island. Honestly every spot is a high light. Just make sure you go on a sunny day and NOT Sunday because the village and tanna coffee factory won’t open on Sunday.

Would not recommend for those coming in on Cruise lines. My guide left the wharf without me due to a 6 minute delay caused by an inability to get off the ship in time (I got to the wharf at 8.36am after emailing the company to advise that I was waiting to get off the ship, the tour left at 8.30am without me irrespective). No refund offered and I was left alone to find my way around the island.

You gotta remember that the whole country ain’t Europe..It’s 3rd world…but they are trying the best they can.
The guide really look out for us….even to the point he paid for my toilet entry so that I wouldn’t get ripped off. He had a mission to look after our welfare and make sure we got back on that cruise boat. If you take out the entries and the yum lunch it only left $100 for the vehicle and guide.
I’d recommend this to anyone. But book before you go.

The village experience was fantastic and Neil made the trip so much better with his commentary and knowledge of history which enhanced our day greatly. Lunch was amazing and the sights were beautiful. I highly recommend. Aaron

This was a fantastic day trip. Alfred, Ricky, Phillip and crew could not have done anything more to make the day enjoyable. The timing at each place gave plenty of time. The blue lagoon was refreshing, as was the fruit morning tea. Leave your bag with the guides, we didn’t and almost lost it! Eden by the River was invigorating and lunch was great. The cultural village was so informative as was Alfred. Thank you Yumi for making our day in Vanuatu so special.

We are staying in Erakor village (not island) are we too far out for collection for the tours?
Written September 15, 2019
Sorry you will have to ask the tour operator. I would guess probably not, they seemed fairly flexible.

Hi - we arrive via cruise ship with ship port hours set as 8am-5pm. Your tour is noted as 8 hours (8:30am-4:30pm) so I'm a bit worried that we might arrive back a bit late and miss the departure. Is this accurate or do we return 1 hour before departure (4pm) as noted in another section?
Written August 26, 2019
we were brought back to the ship with plenty of time. Our driver and guide let us know at the start how much time we would spend at each place. I asked at every stop what time we should be back to the bus and guide made sure everyone knew, not just "we'll have about xxxminutes here"

I would like to know why when I put two seniors it is not available and when I put two adults it is? Does not seem too difficult a tour,Is it too rugged for seniors?
Written July 27, 2018
the company don't have seniors disc the tour is very achievable to people of all ages the most difficult part would be the swimming but you don't have to swim

Wanting to do a day tour around the Island. Can you give some direction or link to reviews of "Adventure in Paradise Tours". We have been told by friends and substantiated by some reviews that the Atmosphere managed tour is not great value for money.
Written June 4, 2018
The Atmosphere full day tour it's ok but after the native village tour it's quite boring I would suggest a 1/2 day trip going to the native village then going to a beach area

Any idea when the Tokka in Tanna will take place.?
Can you recommend a guide for a treck in island?
Written April 25, 2018
My understanding is the Tokka in Tanna is only announced a few days before the event, so you will need to be able to jump straight on a plane to attend. Sorry I have no other information!
