Truly excellent and educational day - exactly what I was looking for. Lena is prepared, smart and a lot of fun! Highly recommended!

Our full-day tour of American D-Day sites with Lena more than met our expectations. She is a fount of knowledge, personable, and flexible. She added so much to our experience, such as pointing out German gun emplacements high up on a hill, that we would have never noticed. She didn't try to rush us, but kept us on schedule to see as much as possible. She knows where to drive, where to park, where to go for the best views--all of which made for a stress-free day where we could just take in the experience. Plus we enjoyed learning more about the countryside and people from a local person.

Lena is an excellent guide and very accommodating. She did more than just explain the tactics of the battle but helps you connect with the brave soldiers. I have been to American cemetery and beaches 2 other times and this last one with Lena was the most insightful.

Lena was an outstanding Normandy guide! Our day with her seeing the D-Day sites was the highlight of our trip to Europe. I have above-average knowledge of D-Day history. I learned so much from Lena. I cannot recommend her high enough. When we return to Normandy, we will call her again.

Lena was our guide for a half day tour of Normandy. She did an amazing job of creating a fun experience. I was traveling with my 13 year old son and sometimes they can get board easily. Lena created activities that kept him involved in the entire tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a great tour of the Normandy sights.

I had been on a tour with Lena several years ago with my husband but this trip was with a friend who was retired USAF military. My friend definitely wanted to see the DDay sites so I suggested we hire Lena. We had an amazing time and her knowledge and story telling ability brings all of the information to light. She customized our tour and ensured she didnt rush us but wanted to cover everything we wanted to see. She also has a headset microphone so anyone sitting in the back can clearly hear. I seldom see drivers of private tours doing this. While there were only 2 of us, it really made it crystal clear. I would strongly recommend anyone considering seeing the DDay sites to engage Lena as I think it would be hard to find anyone who could provide a more clear and concise perspective of this truly historical time. I'd give her more than 5 stars if possible!

We recently had the pleasure of taking a personalized Normandy beaches tour with Lena and it was a highlight of our trip to France. Lena was an absolute delight to spend the day with - she was fun, informative, knowledgeable, and insightful. One of the things we loved most about the tour was that it was family-oriented. Lena went out of her way to make sure that our children were engaged and entertained throughout the day, even incorporating quizzes and interactive activities to keep them interested. In addition to being a great guide, Lena also arranged for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. It was a great opportunity to try some traditional Norman dishes and chat with Lena about her experiences living in the region. Overall, we had a fantastic day with Lena and would highly recommend her tour to anyone visiting Normandy. The 9 hours flew by and we learned so much about the history and culture of the region. It was a truly memorable experience and we are so glad we chose to do it.

Our tour guide Charles provided a fact and story filled afternoon filled with intimate detail of the Allied troops landing and movements inland to turn the tide of the war. He also shed light on the lives of the Normandy locals that had to survive in German occupied France while praying that Allies could turn the tide of the war. Charles was friendly, packed with knowledge and was obviously has a passion for the WWII Era and history. Great tour and we have already made recommendations to friends that have upcoming trips planned.

The tour was wonderful, we did two days, one in the American sector the other British and Canadian/French. The tour guide Elena was wonderful, really a historian, told wonderful stories, took us from our hotel all around both breaches and airborne sites. Se speaks fluent English yet also helped us with French where needed. This is the private guided and tours you want in Normandy. We based in Caen, she picked us up and delivered back to hotel the first night and the train station the end of the second day. We had lunch with local seafood that we had requested at spots right on the beaches. Wonderful! Logistics and communications a snap, all set up well before we arrived by train from Paris, a simple 2 hr trip from St Lazare station, which we also set-up and paid for in advance (in the US, via web a couple months before we came).

We had the pleasure of having Lena be our tour guide for the Private American D-Day tour. We were recommended Lena from a co-worker of mine, and it was the first tour back since March 2020. You could tell how excited and passionate she was about what she does. We had the best time! She is so knowledgeable and had a lot of great extra info and photos that was not on the plaques at each location. We toured at 3 different locations and afterward she gave us a recommendation on where to eat in Bayeux. There was a great mix of allowing us to walk through where we could, and telling us extra details. We would absolutely book another tour with Lena if we ever come back to France.

The tour was in Russian and Lena is very knowledgeable and intelligent person. We did asked her advise further down our travel and she was more then helpful.

Six of us were on a cruise that stopped at Le Havre. Two of us had been to Normandy three times previously and four had not visited the area . We had reached out to another tour company, but it could not accommodate us and recommended Lena. It was very fortuitous for us!! After our initial plan proved to be too ambitious, Lena worked with us to select the places our group particularly wanted to visit in the Utah and Omaha beach areas. She picked us up in Le Havre from our cruise ship (her car is quite comfortable for 6 adults). While heading towards Utah Beach, she provided a thorough overview of the German preparations and the Allies' intentions. Our first stop was Ste. Mere Eglise and we worked eastward, stopping at Pointe du Hoc, WN62/1st Infantry Division Monument, the American Cemetery, and for lunch. She provided an operational understanding of events as they unfolded, but also the individual human stories related to these events. She was able to answer all of our questions. All of us learned a great deal. Lena was most informative, an expert on D-Day history, and an excellent story teller, She had illustrative photos and charts that greatly added to our understanding of the events. We hope someday to return to Normandy and complete the British and Canadian sectors. If we do return, we will take another tour with Lena! She returned us to the ship with ample time remaining. We are very glad she could be our guide for the day. It was a memorable and moving day for us all.

Another couple from our cruise ship book a D Day tour with Lena. We and a third couple were lucky to be able to join them. Lena was a wealth of knowledge and my history buff husband said he learned a lot. If you are looking for a tour guide of the Normandy area, I totally recommend Lena. She was there at the ship early to meet us and was very cognizant of the time that we had to be back on board. She is easy to talk to and could answer any question we came up with. This tour was the highlight of our cruise.
