          Moving and wonderful experience
We had a wonderful experience on this tour . More than we could have hoped for . Our guide, Manon, was wonderful . We felt lucky to have her . She tailored our experience to fit our needs ( family member with limited mobility , special attention to teenage family member , etc). Manon was extremely knowledgeable. We all learned things we had never read anywhere else . A very moving experience . We highly recommend .

The tour became the Longest Day.
The tour was wonderful. Rose did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable. The problem was that one of the participants was ill and threw up at least 6 times in front of the group. Despite our urging him to leave he refused. Now my husband has it and I will probably follow tomorrow. The company should develop a policy stating that people who are obviously ill will be dropped off at the first opportunity. What about the rest of us whose good time was ruined?

Excellent guide for a tour you shouldn't miss
Our excellent and very well prepared tour guide, Gwen, gave us a deeply informed account of the Allied Invasion, full of interesting facts and anecdotes. He deftly engaged everyone in our family, even our 10 year old, and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. It was deeply moving to tour the sites with such a well informed professional. We wouldn't have gotten nearly as much out of the experience had we visited the sites independently. I highly recommend this tour company. This was one of our very best experiences during our 12-day visit to France.

Great trip through the American area with our guide Rose.
Was just really nice day touring the area with our guide Rose. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. Normandy is just beautiful, much nicer than Paris by a very long shot. Wish I had stayed there longer than just for the tour.

Full day tour American Beaches was excellent
Gaetan was our guide and he was amazingly knowledgeable, organized, and friendly and helpful. We saw the German Cemetery, Utah Beach, Pont Du Hoc, Omaha Beach Saint Mer Elyse Airborne Museums, and finally the very moving American Cemetery. He explained all the history, answered so many questions and kept us perfectly in schedule and never rushed. We had 5 people in a van that held 7 so plenty of space. We stopped for lunch along the way. The weather went from rain to sun to heavy wind to hail and back to sun and we managed to be comfortable and not miss a thing. The highlight of my trip. I asked about the Jewish who were lost in the fighting and as the day wore on Gaetan made sure to tell me what he could and point out where I could pay my respects to my Jewish American brothers which was very important to me.

          Very thoughtful
Absolutely fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and adaptable to who was on the tour. Very thoughtful and could answer lots of questions. Also very good selection of places. Would recommend this mix of these places and the guide if this is your first taste of D-Day experience. Also organisers were very helpful. Had originally booked two tours with them, and being off season they were thoughtful enough to suggest we swapped days to ensure they both happened. Second tour was cancelled due to terrible storms but they communicated clearly and early with updates which was appreciated. Everything they could control was done very very well .

All day tour of Normandy American beaches highly recommended
Our tour guide, Jon, provided us with detailed information throughout the full day tour of Normandy. He shared the history leading up to and during D-Day. He made certain we were present when the flags were taken down at the American Cemetary. His passion for history and his knowledge was very impressive. We highly recommend taking this tour when in Normandy.

          Great tour and Exceptional Guide.
What a great time. We were the only four people on this tour, so the timing and sequence was very flexible. Our guide, Emmanuel was a joy; very knowledgeable and personable. The weather was horrible (raining sideways) but Emmanuel made the day very enjoyable. We stayed longer than 'normal' at some sites and less at others, depending on our interest and the rate of rain. We all came away with more knowledge and understanding of the events of June 6, 1944 and of the participants. All four of us strongly recommend this tour and Emmanuel as a guide.

Perfect tour for Mont St Michel
Great tour guide - Caroline, who was very knowledgeable and just extremely pleasant. The commentary was enough to give you what you need and she allowed time for wandering and questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of sites of the major Canadian involvement in D-Day. Our guide Jean-Baptiste was from the area but lived in Canada for many years. He was very knowledgeable about the Canadian contribution to the war. We started at Juno Beach: it was incredible, just standing on the beach where the landing occurred (and many Canadians lost their lives). Hearing more details of the background to many of these sites made it all the more memorable. The full day tour allowed for a detailed visit at the Juno Beach center and several other attractions.

Adrien M was our guide he was very knowledgeable of all the site he drove us to, he pointed out sites along the way and gave interesting info on the small towns we drove through. Adrien takes pride in his job and it shows. He had answers to all of our questions, the tour is roughly 8 hrs and well worth the time, as we would not have seen or have the information if we did this on our own. Adrien is from Bayeux which to me makes a big different in that he has more info about the region then someone who is not from that area. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour through Normandy Sightseeing Tours

This small group tour was an excellent way to experience these historical sites. We were with two other tour guests (a mother and young daughter - fellow Canadians 🇨🇦) so the tour was very personal and accommodating to our pace. Celine was an excellent driver and guide - she provided great historical information and anecdotes that made every stop interesting. She also included a stop at a “secret” German observation post in the treetops. Lunch was at a pizza restaurant where she joined us for lunch. Even though this was a sad and somber day, Celine made the experience very meaningful for us!
Tip: it’s a long day, be prepared for lots of walking. Take a hat and water - it was quite hot!

My elderly dad, two young adult children and I had a wonderful day long tour of the D-Day sites significant to Canadian troops. Our very knowledgeable guide (sadly I cannot remember his name) gave an informative history lesson while driving another family of 4 and us to the various sites related to the Canadian invasion. My dad has wanted to go to this area for years as one of his uncles from Saskatchewan was killed in the days right after June 6th; when our guide heard what day my great-uncle died, he knew exactly what battle that would have been (in the push to capture Caen) and went out of his way for us to see that location - such a thoughtful action that meant a great deal to my dad. The visit to the Canadian cemetery was also very important for us, and my father was able to place a small Canadian flag and a small Saskatchewan flag at his uncle's grave site. A meaningful, emotional day - so very glad we did it! Highly recommend to any Canadian visiting France.

It was a great tour. We were told by our guide a lot of Americans don't do this tour. If you don't do it, you miss out on at least half of went on during D-Day and beyond.

Kate picked us up at the Churchill Hotel in Bayeux and we had a fantastic day-long tour with her. Lucky for us we were the only clients booked, so we had Kate all to ourselves. What a pleasure! This young lady exemplifies the meaning of dedication. She left no stone unturned, researched on-the fly, answered countless questions and shared her related life experiences with us. She is a cut above the rest; brilliant, informed, and compassionate to say the least. Normandy Tours is fortunate to have such a valuable guide in their employ and we were blessed that she crossed our path to help us commemorate my father’s and his Essex Scottish Regiment colleagues’ service and sacrifices in WW2. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Normandy Tours or their guide Kate and look forward to a repeat experience in the future.

My boyfriend and I did the C3 tour (full day Canadian beaches, cemetery, Juno centre, villages). As being someone who doesn’t know much about WW2 or history in general, the level of the information our guide gave was perfect (guides name was Katell). My boyfriend who knows most of the basic information about world war 2, this tours info was too basic, so if you are looking for more in depth information, maybe this isn’t the right one for you. The car we traveled in was so clean and comfortable and Katell was a great driver. She even helped us figure out how to take the train home as the SNCC strike changed our plans. She went above and beyond as a guide.

This was a very moving and emotional tour - both the video at the Juno Beach Centre and the Canadian Cemetery. Rose was a very passionate tour guide and you could tell her respect and honour for those who served and died during the liberation of her country. As a Canadian, I was impacted by how the French have continued to honour and remember the soldiers who gave their lives for their freedom. There were many road-side memorials and Canadian flags flying. Thank you Rose, for your tour and your passion to keep the memory alive of this very pivotal battle.

Our group of ten had a wonderful time here. One of the people was actually able to find the plague with his father's name on it. Add tp that the Juno Beach Centre and it is a very meaningful excursion. There is much to see in the Centre as well. give yourself lots of time, particularly if you are interested in the Canadian effort in the war.

My uncle was killed in the battle for the Carpiquet/ Caen Airport. I was interested in seeing his grave at Beny sur Mer but also wanted to see first hand where he was, not just from news reels. Matthew was our guide and he was outstanding. His knowledge of the military efforts was remarkable. He explained gun placements and brought what it was like not only for the men but for the civilians. Whilst we were touring the Juno Centre he researched my uncle’s records. As soon as he knew that he was with the Winnipeg Rifles, Company A, Matthew was able to show me where on.Juno Beach he landed and where in Carpiquet he was killed. It was a very moving and unforgettable experience. I could never have learned this without this knowledge and compassionate guide. Many thanks to Matthew and Normandy Tours.
