      Wonderful experience
Fred was a great guide. Knowledgeable about all aspects of mt st Michel. A convenient pick up and drop off at our hotel, so had to do no thinking. We just focused on the adventure and Fred hosted us wonderfully.

A memorable first visit, thanks to Charles our guide
Our guide Charles was waiting for us at the curb at the train station in Bayeux. He had a roomy van with bottled water for our family of five. For the entire day, Charles kept us captivated with his knowledge and explanations of the different places we visited. He had large visual aids (e.g. maps, photos) to supplement his presentation. The cold weather did not dampen Charles's enthusiasm for showing us everything he could. Overall, his expertise made our first visit to Normandy meaningful and special. (Added bonus - the bakery he took us to in Sainte Mere Eglise did have the best pains au chocolat, as he claimed!)

An Unforgettable Day in Normandy with Morgane
I am a recently retired NYC High School history teacher who taught mostly US history during my 30-year career. My teenage son, like me, is a history buff with a special interest in World War Two. It was on both of our bucket lists to visit Normandy and in particular Omaha and Utah beaches. Morgane picked us up and immediately began to ask us questions about what we wanted to do, trying to ascertain our level of knowledge of the history and what would make the day perfect for us. Morgane was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and was able to intuit who we were and what would make the day unforgettable. She was also sensitive to our feelings and understood the power and emotion of seeing the Normandy American Cemetery. Although we toured on a very cold and windy day, it was such a compelling tour that we forgot about our cold toes! On top of all the wonderful stories and insights Morgane provided us during the tour, she helped us TWICE with meals. First, she recommended a wonderful bakery in St. Mere Eglise to grab lunch at before we went to the Airborne Museum. She also helped us make a dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant near where were staying in Bayeux. In conclusion, Morgane was truly exceptional. Not only did she have a depth of knowledge that was remarkable but provided reading suggestions that will keep me in good reading for the next year! I can't more highly recommend Bayeux Shuttle, and in particular, Morgane.

2nd Day w/Jordan to Mont St Michel private tour
Continued to be amazed with Jordan on day 2. His knowledge went beyond D day on the Normandie Beaches and the events leading up to and after the main event. He took us on a private tour of Mont St Michel the next day. He is a very thoughtful and considerate guide, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying the full day. A repeat tour for my husband and me but not for the others. We were all impressed with Jordan’s knowledge, care for us and love of his region. We enjoyed the experience and appreciated JORDAN! He knew a lot about Mont St Michel and had excellent tidbits and stories to share here too. Thank you for making our trip with Bayeux Shuttle awesome!!

      Private Normandie Tour
This is our 4th Bayeux Shuttle Normandie tour but our first under the new management and first private. We are thrilled with our choice! At first disappointed the format was changed a bit with no videos during the long drives but our tour guide, Jordan was amazing-professional and sooo knowledgeable. We continued to learn from this repeat visit! Jordan is a great Storyteller, keeping our interest the entire time. He has depth and range bc while we were repeat guests, we had one newbie in the group so Jordan was able to keep everyone engaged!

      D-Day Beaches with Juliette
We were fortunate enough to have an unexpected private tour as we were the only 2 who had signed up for this particular Bayeux Shuttle tour. We were lucky to have Juliette as our guide! Juliette was amazing in her knowledge, her enthusiasm and her passion for history. She was engaging and fun to be with for over eight hours. To visit both the American and the British sites was very enlightening and impactful. My husband, a history enthusiast, learned many new facts about Normandy and D-Day from Juliette. We appreciated the extra time she put into learning about our relatives who had fought as part of D-Day operations and the extra efforts she made to make their sacrifices real. We highly recommend this tour and if you can request Juliette, you should. You'll see some slick French style and a passionate WWII buff! BTW her real forte is WWI!

      Amazing Private D-Day Tour!
Since we visited Bayeux during the off-season, we scheduled a private tour. We got picked up at our hotel at 9:30am. Our tour guide, Charles, confirmed what the day was going to look like and made sure we were going to all the sites we were interested in. Charles was extremely knowledgeable and answered many of our questions about Bayeux and WWII. In the morning, we visited drove through Colleville-sur-Mer, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, and Vierville-sur-Mer. We visited Omaha Beach, the Normandy American Cemetery, and Pointe du Hoc. For lunch, we went to a French restaurant in Sainte-Mere-Eglise. Charles called the restaurant beforehand to make reservations which was extremely helpful since many restaurants were closed on Sunday. We spent most of the afternoon at Utah Beach before heading back to Bayeux. We appreciated Charles's thoughtfulness and expertise of the history in the Normandy region. Highly recommend!

      Fast, Clean and Easy Shuttle
My family was staying in Bayeux and we utilized Bayeux Shuttle for a day trip to Mont Saint Michel. The shuttle pick-up spot was easy to find and centrally located. It was a clean 9-Passenger Van, so we were in the car with two other families/couples. Our guide, Jean-Philippe, was pleasant and provided clear instructions at drop off when/where pickup would be. This was a great way to go the Abbey without having to rent a car. Would highly recommend.

      Fantastic Tour!
We had considered doing this tour on our own. That would have been a mistake. Taking the Bayeux Shuttle was a great call. We would missed so much without the informative and interesting commentary from Charles MIGLIERINA, our guide for the day. His knowledge and enthusiasm brought the beaches and events of D-day to life. There was a good balance of commentary and time on our own to walk the areas. This tour piqued my interest so much that now that I’m back home, I’m reading up on some of the events and sites we saw. Upon asking about movies to watch, Charles also gave us “homework assignments” of things to watch which we have been enjoying upon our return home. Thank you Charles and Bayeux Shuttle!

Mont St Michel Experience Group Shuttle
We had a lovely guide Juliette who took us safely via shuttle to Mont St Michel. She was very informative, kind and super friendly. I would highly recommend using Bayeux Shuttle as they are professional, efficient and a great way to see the Mont if you are staying in Bayeux.

Going to the landing beaches was a wish I'd had for decades. I was born in 1945 but always interested in WWII. The weather was wonderful. Our guide Pierre was excellent. Not only was he thorough and well spoken but the compassion he exhibited regarding the war and the landings was sincerely heartfelt. I feel fortunate to have had him for this very emotional and historic experience

      Go with Jordan
Jordan was incredible. I was nervous when my husband signed us up for a full day trip but Jordan made it super interesting and meaningful. Never once did I look at my watch to see if the tour was coming to an end in the 8 hours. It was a great balance of history and time to explore meaningful locations.

Full day group tour with guide Tom. We were greeted in the pick up area by Tom with positivity and passion for the days events. The vehicle was brand new and very comfortable. The tour was AMAZING! We experienced the sites with very little crowds as it is getting back from COVID closure. Tom is an incredible guide very knowledgeable about all things WWII. He is very positive, kind and was able to answer any questions. He is a real enthusiast to military history and quite a collector. I can’t imagine exploring these sites without a guide. Tom was able to share what happened at each site and set the stage for what was planned and what actually happened. After completing this tour I felt I wanted to book the other tour to the other beaches to get the full story from Tom. He provided us recommendations on what to do the following day and that did not disappoint. Highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful tour with a wonderful guide. Paschal was very knowledgeable and (with our permission) changed the itinerary to allow us to see the lowering of the flag at the Colleville sur Met cemetery. Very moving. Paschal did a wonderful job contextualizing each stop and creating a picture in words to help us imagine the scene in June 6, 1944. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide was Pascal, a 56-year-old retired gendarme who picked up this second career because he felt the story needed to be told. On the day of our tour, temperatures were 50 deg F and sustained winds blew 30 mph, gusting to 50 mph. As we stood on Utah beach, struggling to keep our footing against the gales, Pascal drew maps in the damp sand of American positions and German overlapping fields of fire, raising his voice like Demosthenes to be heard above the tempest. Despite the windchill and challenges to remain upright, we remained rapt by Pascal's oratory. This was a man consumed by his subject and his mission to lift admittedly dim Americans from their ignorance of the heroism of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Mission accomplished, Pascal! Thank you!

An incredible day touring Omaha & Juno D-day landing sites, the American war cemetery, plus airborne museum.
My husband & I learnt so much, not only about the D-day landings, but other ww2 events that we knew nothing about!
Pierre’s knowledge is second to none, he answered every question that we had.
Pier really brought these historic events to life, which is what a great tour guide should do👍
The bus was very comfortable & spacious, we would highly recommend Bayeux shuttle & Pierre to anyone.

We used Bayeux as our base for two trips with Bayeux Shuttles. Frederic (call me Fred) is an amazing driver/guide. He was able to weave stories and make the history of the D-Day operation come alive. The sequence of stops was fluid, nothing seemed out of place. Fred is able to introduce a lot of human touches to the story. He even got the weather to cooperate as he talked about the impact of fickle Normandy weather on the invasion. It was almost like he was controlling the rain squalls. Fred even added on a very touching story to the end of our day.

Our tour was memorable on July 4, 2022 to the key battle sites in Normandy thanks to Matt Turner, our guide that day; he did an incredible job of making the D-Day experience unforgettable for many reasons. His attention to detail, deep knowledge of history, and stories he was able to relay from D-Day vets he had on previous tours helped make the day so much more than a simple tour with facts and figures. The only problem is Matt spoiled us for future tours with other companies because they will be held to his standard. Bayeux Shuttle also sent us information about the train coming from Paris so that we were aware of a situation that may have left us in a bind if we had not known beforehand. Great experience all around!

Tom, our Guide was very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He really focused on tge American aspect of D Day, as everyone on the tour, was from the US. He was constantly giving us information regarding the invasion's planning, and execution. He used every opportunity to put us right at the location where specific stories took place, and kept everyone engaged. It is clear that this is a passion for him. Would highly recommend.

Pascal was very knowledgeable and personable. Very comprehensive .incredible museums. St. Mere Eglise was very moving. Tour concluded with flag-lowering at American cemetery. We found the full day -gather at 840 and continue until 540- to be a bit draining. Rushed tempo, pretty skimpy bathroom breaks. Surprised that lunch was not included. We were taken to a sandwich shop/bakery (about 6 euros for sandwich and choice of pastry) to quickly make a selection which we ate on the bus.

We saw Omaha and Utah beaches, Pointe du Hoc, the Airborne Museum, St. Marie Eglise, and the American cemetery at Colville sur Mer. The tour was well worth it, with some caveats: this tour is not for people with mobility problems, as it entails lots of walking and standing. It is also not suitable for those with small children or people who are not genuinely interested in historical details about the Normandy invasion. I would suggest allocating more time to the fabulous Airborne Museum (where we felt rushed) and the cemetery and less time on Omaha Beach hearing details and names we won't recall a few days later.

Pascal was a superb guide. He did an excellent job throughout the day of providing a broad overview of the historical significance of where we were and combined it a gift for storytelling about some specific people and their role on D-Day. His experience in the French military also enhanced his ability to poignantly describe the details of the military conditions that fateful day. We were very lucky to have Pascal as our guide and could not recommend him more highly.
