What to expect
After departing from your centrally located Bayeux hotel or a prearranged meeting point, begin your half-day tour of Normandy's Canadian World War II sites. Get acquainted with your knowledgeable guide and enjoy the scenery of the 30-minute drive to the Juno Beach Centre, a unique museum dedicated to the Canadian soldier’s involved in World War II.  Learn about the pivotal role played by Canada in the war and see moving commemorations to the sacrifices made by courageous soldiers. See the German bunkers and beach obstacles that surround the museum and get up close to historical monuments that speak eloquently of the area’s fascinating history.  Stop next at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery to feel emotionally stirred my mire than 2,000 headstones dedicated to British, French and Canadian soldiers killed during the D-Day attacks. Admire spectacular views of the rugged Atlantic coast and then continue to Ardenne Abbey to marvel at a masterpiece of Norman architecture. Follow your guide on a guided tour of the 12th-century structure and hear of its turbulent history before returning to the vehicle and relaxing during the scenic journey back to Bayeux.

Although the weather was overcast and raining we had a beautiful rainbow upon our arrival at Juno Beach and an unexpected warm welcome from a former Mayor. The cemetery was absolutely beautiful and peaceful for the over 2000 souls that lost their lives to give others freedom.

Our tour guide Olivia was delightful and knowledgeable. I recommend to anyone travelling to France that this tour be included in their travels.

Great trip to Canadian battlefields
Took a half day trip with a good guide to the Canadian beach areas. Covered the beaches and some of the inland battle area as well. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. A very productive day (about 5hours ).

Our guide ( Matt)was full of knowledge about the sites we visited and about WW11 in general. We heard things we would not have on our own ! Canadian museum at Juno was very moving and our group was a nice small size.

Great Tour for Canadians
Aug 2019
I was very excited to visit Juno Beach in honour of our Canadian veterans. No one I'm aware of in our family was involved in the war, but I have the utmost respect for our veterans, especially those who waded ashore into German gunfire. This tour did not disappoint. We were picked up at our Bayeux hotel and there were 8 plus the guide on our tour. So it was easy to hear the guide both in the vehicle and when we were walking around. We went to the beach, by Canada House and toured the Juno Beach Centre along with 2 German bunkers at that location. We stopped for lunch (some people had brought their own for a picnic) at a nice restaurant and then toured the Canadian cemetery (quite emotional) and a few other sites relevant to the Canadian activity on and just after D-Day. Our guide, Sunny, was very good. She was born a little west of Bayeux closer to the American landings and she gave an excellent background of why this location was chosen for the invasion and events leading up to it. She also had some personal insight that she shared near the end of the tour. I feel we definitely got value for our money.

Canadian D-Day
Aug 2019 • Solo
I did the half-day tour today with Kate. Great trip overall. Very informative and caring guide. Also we are in small groups of 6-8 so it is like having a personal guide which is usually way more expensive. We saw Juno Beach and the main Canadian sites. Would have loved a bit more time in the Juno Memorial Center but I still highly recommend it! Don't forget to bring a bit of sand as a souvenir!

Moving, detailed, much more than we expected
Though our trip got off to a rocky start, our guide Gwyn more than made up for the initial confusion. FYI, always double check your bookings, even those that appear to be confirmed by office staff.

No matter, we were given very personalized service, presented with detailed information about the British & Canadian pre landing strategies, the landings, its failures and successes. Gwyn has an encyclopedic mind of the detail of DDay, and the arduous weeks following as the Allied Forces struggled to Caen, and beyond. He tempered the horror of unjust Nazi executions, with a love story, and incredible, heroic feats. It was a full day, much detail was given. He was open to questions, and easy to talk to about life in France and Canada as well. We think this was one of our best experiences ever, with guided tours of historic areas.
The company description of the day is very accurate, but we felt we were presented with so much more.

Unique and informative
We took this tour because my husband is from Canada and had two uncles die during WWII. The sights and history of Canada’s heroic efforts was inspiring. We were proud to see Canada’s often overlooked sacrifices and the bravery of their soldiers honored so well.

Juno Beach Visit
Sep 2018 • Solo
This was the highlight of my week in France. Our guide, David is very knowledgeable about the region and the Normandy campaign. I arrived in Bayeux on the 12:30 train from Paris and David met me at the train station at 1:00. Made it back to catch the 6:35 train back to Paris. Everything was seamless. I hope to go back to this region to explore more of Normandy and the French coast. Normans are much more friendly than Parisians!

Quick tour of key sights
Aug 2018 • Family
We enjoyed the half day tour a lot. Our guide was knowledgeable and efficient with such a short time to cover all the stops. We really appreciated the stops at the beaches, one of the. cemetaries and the Juno Beach Centre. Wish we had more time at them all. This trip has been a dream of ours for years, and we won’t forget it. Thank you!

Jammed-packed itinerary but felt a little rushed
Jul 2018 • Family
We did the C-3 Full-Day Canadian Tour. It was nice to have a knowledgeable guide who drove us around from one key location to the next. The itinerary was full of interesting stops including the Juno Beach Centre, Abbey D’Ardenne, Beny-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, Canada House and the artificial harbour at Arromanches. That being said, the tour felt a little rushed. The upside is that the tour made us realize that we could spend at least a week exploring this area and we are planning on returning to explore it at our own pace.
