- X3354BKclaireb0 contributionsAmazing tourLast minute decision to visit DDay Beaches and I tried reaching out to other tour companies but was unsuccessful, I was referred to Normandy Sightseeing Tours and they were able to accommodate me. I had a great time on the tour and the guide was very informative and friendly. Definitely recommend!Written December 7, 2024
- dianehX9521VB0 contributionsFantastic tour of D Day sites.Fantastic tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend the tour. The sites were very moving.Written November 27, 2024
- United7870 contributionsRequest Rose, she is the best!I just got back to the US from a trip to Normandy with my brother, brother-in-law & 90-year-old father. We arranged two mostly full-day day tours with Normandy Sightseeing Tours and loved it. The company was very responsive, communicative and accommodating in planning our trip in the weeks before our arrival. Our tour guide Rose, picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel both days and rented a wheelchair for us to use the whole time. Rose was amazing, my dad kept saying how much he liked her. Her English is excellent and her knowledge of the history and sites was extensive. She grew up in the area and still lives there. She was so warm, informative and a joy to be around. We highly recommend this company and Rose. We went to the US beach sites, Utah & Omaha, and everything in between. We loved the Airborne Museum and Overlord Museum, both excellent, especially for my former C-47 pilot father.Written November 22, 2024
- grandmafayem0 contributionsA must visit for every American fortunate enough to make the tripFantastic! Our guide (Emmanuel) was knowledgeable, family friendly and checked with us frequently to answer questions and to make sure we were seeing the things we wanted to see. We were so fortunate to go during this time as there were no crowds, no waiting and plenty of parking.Written November 18, 2024
- 657joannd0 contributionsA day is barely enoughThis is a long trip - about 9 hours- and worth every minute. I didn't realize that most all of the beaches had museums to tell us the story of their part of the invasion. To be on the beach where so many faced almost certain death to defend our way of life inspired me. The US Constitution and its defenders and supporters have made all of our world a better place. I was proud and sad and happy.Written October 27, 2024
- 657joannd0 contributionsLove our democracy and the people who fought for usLoved our guide. This is a great opportunity to see history. I learned much and have come to appreciate all the blood, sweat, tears and genius that went into saving democracy from the evil Hitler.Written October 23, 2024

- Partonca0 contributionsGreat Guide made it into a Great TourStarting early in the morning our guide Brice turned what could have been a dry recitation of the facts into a an engaging step back into history. Like many baby boomers we grew up in the early 60's with the specter of D-day part of our day to day life . Brice did an exceptional job of bringing the sites to life life while at the same time giving everyone in the small group the freedom to explore on their own. We would definitely recommend taking this tour!Written October 17, 2024
- Maria P0 contributionsNormandyWe had an amazing time on this tour! Everything was super well organized, and Matthew was not only knowledgeable but also super friendly and fun. The sights were incredible, and we had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy and take photos without feeling rushed. The group size was just right, and it felt really relaxed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone!Written October 10, 2024

- Coastal6030000 contributionsAn incredible must see! This is a must see! It’s beautiful, amazing, intriguing all wrapped up in one. It was pretty crowded when we went but amazing none the less. Lots and lots of stairs but the history of Mont Saint-Michel is incredible.Written September 29, 2024

- charlesrU3137WI0 contributionsRobust Normandy Battlefields TourOur guide Jack was terrific, taking us to visit two cemeteries (German and American), two churches, three beaches and two museums. He is not only quite knowledgeable, but also a good storyteller. His English is excellent, so there was no trouble understanding him. We stopped for a quick coffee to go and later lunch to go as well. We learned a lot from the tour and would highly recommend.Written September 28, 2024
- G8781RLkevins0 contributionsFantastic tour of Normandy 9/27/24We could not have been happier and more grateful for the tour that we went on yesterday morning, September 27. We were picked up from the.Le Havre port travel in uncomfortable coach to three or four different stops. Our shore guide was a Bertrand. He was incredibly accommodating and helpful, even helping us arrange a cab from the last stop to a hotel in Bayeux. He was very kind and informative. It was an emotional experience for me because I lost an uncle. I never met in Italy 3 1/2 years before D-Day. Thank you for an excellent, excellent tour. I would give you 10 stars if I could.Written September 28, 2024

Our excellent and very well prepared tour guide, Gwen, gave us a deeply informed account of the Allied Invasion, full of interesting facts and anecdotes. He deftly engaged everyone in our family, even our 10 year old, and answered all of our questions thoughtfully. It was deeply moving to tour the sites with such a well informed professional. We wouldn't have gotten nearly as much out of the experience had we visited the sites independently. I highly recommend this tour company. This was one of our very best experiences during our 12-day visit to France.

My friend and I did the private tour out of Bayeax with our guide Rose. I would highly recommend doing this as a private tour because it truly gave us the opportunity to customize our tour to include the elements that were important to us. Rose was incredibly knowledgable and was able to share historical facts as well as personal stories based on some of the vets she has met over the years. In addition, we we able to make adjustments throughout the day which included a lunch stop at Le Contour des Marais in Carentan...this was one of the best meals I have had in France!!!

My mother and I did the private tour out of Bayeux and our guide, Adrien, was terrific, could not have asked for a better guide. He had a large binder full of knowledge my mom absolutely loved and an obvious love for history. Very personable and professional. For lunch he took us to a lovely local place and customized our stops to hit all the places I requested. He also had a few recommendations based on where we were staying and what we still wanted to do on our trip. Highly recommend booking a full day tour.

My mom and I spent a wonderful day with our guide Celine in the area of the American sector Normandy D-Day landing beaches (Utah, Ponte du Hoc and Omaha), finishing up with the American cemetery. Celine was extremely well informed on the invasion, and provided details and stories about specific strategic plans as we toured the very places these events took place. Celine had a book of battle plans and photos from the invasion, that that helped us understand and visualise the events of the day. Celine was friendly and personable and we greatly enjoyed her company! Would highly recommend.

Our private tour for 4 was a truly remarkable experience and so much more that we all anticipated. Our guide, Marion was incredibly knowledgable in the history of events and told the stories with so much passion. We felt the emotion of the event as if we were there and will never forget that day. We had so much fun with Marion. We miss her.

We wanted to do a tour of the Utah and Omaha beaches and learn more about D-day. Our guide, Manon, knew the history quite well and took us to all the sites we wanted to visit. As many books and movies as we’ve seen on WWII, visiting the actual sites made it more interesting and visual as to the challenges these young men endured. Would recommend this tour.

Prompt pick up. Great driving. Excellent guide who provided clear concise information and context. Well paced to maximize what we saw in a day. All stops very worthwhile. As a bonus we had a fabulous lunch at a restaurant in Isigny which was not touristy and had delicious food. Professional, reliable and definitely we would recommend Brice as a guide.

I am older, having been born during World War II. My father was a part of the war in Europe, and the invasion of Normandy has always stood out as the defining moment of this war. So, my expectation was one of reverence and awe. I was expecting more memorial and less commercial. The result was mixed, and I will explain.
This is not to say that the tour itself was below expectations. Our guide was well versed and very personable for the entire tour. I recommend this tour to you.
When one thinks about the invasion of Normandy, one thinks about beach landings and assaults. In reality, the assault at Pointe du Hoc required an ascent straight up the 150 meter cliffs, and right into the teeth of the german defenses. Two of three lives were lost here. Yes, you see the concrete bunkers and artillery positions, and you get a good description of what happened here. But, the level of commercialization is such that it is a bit off-putting. The beaches of Omaha look and feel essentially like a resort, and with little or no memorialization of the bloodiest battle of the invasion. Too bad.
The American Cemetery and Memorial, on the other hand, is just what one would expect. It is an awe-inspiring, beautifully-situated memorial that appropriately honors those who sacrificed all for the greater good.

We were on a Seabourn Cruise and hired NST to do a private tour for us. Adrien was our guide and he spoke flawless english. We were picked up right at the ship in an Audi A8. He struck the right tone of telling the human side of the time as well as the military battle plans. We spent the entire day with Adrien and left feeling like we had learned so much about the bravery and sacrifice of so many. Truly a day to remember. Thank you NST.
