I've been on many cycle and walking tours across Europe and this was not among the better ones. This tour will please people who just want to ride around town with a local, near a few factoids and goofy jokes, and snap some pictures (the guide is really keen on that). If you're looking for a rich retelling of the city's stories across the ages, this is not it. Good points: cycling is a lovely way to experience the city. The scenery you'll see on your bike is delightful. Sylvain, the guide is friendly and jolly. Less good points: Some of the guide's commentary was superficial, repetitive and obvious. The tour went on an hour longer than scheduled, which was much too long. It lasted 3h30. At the end we were cold and late. The grouphad to make a quick dash to the bike store in the dark to get there before it closed. At no point did the guide offer the group a stop to use the toilets or for refreshments. By the end, we were pretty frazzled.Written November 17, 2024

He also gave us a lot of historical information and made the whole tour very worthwhile. The bikes were comfortable and well maintained. - Doug46500 contributionsToulouse bike tour was fun, informative and good exerciseIt was a fun ride. Our group of 7 arrived midday from the US and wanted a fun activity to see Toulouse and help us get used to the time zone change. The guide was great and the 10 mile, 2.5 hour tour took us all around the city. The only issue was that the guide was about 5 minutes late. Since the ticket map showing the meeting place named the park with something that was not on any of the signage, we thought we were in the wrong place. But the guide showed up after a panicky few minutes of looking around. We followed him about a block from the park, went two floors down in the parking garage and got matched to our bikes. After biking up the car ramps for two floors we were off. The most exciting thing on the ride was a single lane street where the cars came right at us. Perfectly legal for all parties, but a bit scary for the bikers. But no problems. A great time was had by all!Written May 11, 2019
- Robert S0 contributionsBike Ride: A Highlight of our VisitBiking was a great way to get acquainted with Toulouse. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and architecture as well as having a wealth of general information. We saw many parts of the city and amazing squares in hidden corners. He was very patient letting us practice our French. After we finished our ride, he suggested a great local place to have lunch. This was our favorite activity in Toulouse. Don't miss it.Written August 16, 2018

We had a great time with Sylvain who is very excited and knowledgeable about his city. He showed the two of us around Toulouse for 3 hours. It was very interesting and entertaining and her had a lot of nice tips for restaurants and activities. I recommend a city bike tour with Sylvain for everybody who is interested to learn more about Toulouse.

My wife and I had a wonderful tour of Toulouse. Lead by Toulouse local, Sylvain, we were able to explore the many hidden delights of the city. Our guide had excellent knowledge of the city and its history, providing background on aspects of Toulouse that we would never have discovered ourselves. He was incredibly generous with his time and we were made to feel like we could explore the city at our pace, rather than rigidly stick to a timetable. The city is flat, so bike riding is very easy, and generally very cyclist friendly, we felt very safe.
I highly recommend this tour as something to do in the first 24-48 hours of your stay as it really sets the scene for the rest of your visit.

Fantastic bike tour. Sylvain has brilliant knowledge of Toulouse, shared with great enthusiasm and passion for his home town. We covered most of the places of interest and Sylvain gave us the history of the buildings and architecture. Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend this tour. Enjoyed every moment! Thank you Sylvain. This was a wonderful way to experience Toulouse and our guide was top notch. Our group was quite large, 15 total, and with about a quarter English speakers, the rest French speakers. Sylvan did a great job and his love of his city is apparent. I would recommend highly taking this tour on the first day of your trip to determine what you want to go back and see later. It is well worth the price. Toulouse is relatively flat and the ride was easy. While you have to be wary of pedestrians and some traffic, Sylvan did great job of keeping us together. Learning how Toulouse came into being and survived and prospered over the centuries was such a plus to know and we would have not had the insight were it not for Sylvan’s tour. Our cell phones died while on the tour (our fault) and he took us back to the bike shop, drew out on a map the best way for us to get home (via subway or walk on the other side of town) and recommended an excellent restaurant on our way home so we could catch dinner. It was not a restaurant on one of the busy tourist streets and it might have been easily missed if not for his recommendation and instructions on how to get there and then on to home. It was a very welcoming experience for us and because of that, we too love Toulouse and will definitely come back for a longer stay!!!

Sylvan was an awesome guide and I learned so much about this beautiful and historic city. We'd ride for about 5 minutes in between sites and really enjoyed the history and culture of the city. I found the ride was especially good for mentally bookmarking places to go back to and spend more time. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful bike tour of Toulouse and a terrific way to cover a lot of ground and see all the “top” sites and attractions in Toulouse on a single tour. Definitely ask for Sylvain as your guide. As noted by others here, he is passionate and knowledgeable about everything Toulouse and enthusiastically shares his knowledge of the history and culture of the city with his guests at every stop. Sylvain will go as fast or slow on the tour as your schedule permits...our tour wound up running four hours because we were enjoying every minute. According to my FitBit, we biked 10 miles but it was all flat and very easy biking with many stops/breaks along the way.

Sylvian's bike tour was an absolute blast! Cycling through the city in such a relaxed and enjoyable manner was a fantastic way to soak in the sights and sounds of the area. His love for his city shines through in every aspect of the tour, from his honesty to his extensive knowledge.
Sylvian's warm personality not only made us feel at ease but also literally opened doors with the locals enabling us to have exclusive glimpses of mansion houses which added a layer of uniqueness to the experience. Being able to peek behind the enormous carriage gates was truly memorable.
We extended the tour with the addition of a picnic lunch by the Garonne, straight out of a Seurat painting! It provided a perfect opportunity to rest and recharge while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Sylvian's language skills were phenomenal, effortlessly bridging the gap between French and English speakers in the group. Such seamless communication enhanced the camaraderie among us and made the experience even more enjoyable.
It was a perfect blend of exploration, cultural immersion, and relaxation. He is not just a tour guide but also a passionate ambassador for his city, making the Tour truly unforgettable. The cylcing was easy too if you are not a regular cyclist.

Sylvain, our guide was very focused on showing us some of the non-tourist, but important parts of Toulouse, He talked a lot about the Roman history, and explained the development of the current city. He showed us his favorite building and into courtyards (where we could). He also took us to the university campus, as well as the canals. He took his time and did well, especially as he was still recovering from a bad cold. We were the only guests, and he wanted to ensure we enjoyed!
Toulouse is larger, so going by bike was helpful.

I would highly recommend this tour! I went on my own but was joined by another group of French speakers. The guide did a great job of making me feel welcome despite having to explaining the sites in 2 languages. I wish I had completed this tour on the first day as it gave me such a great understanding of the city. I revisited many sites the following day. I am also not the most confident cyclist but the guide was very reassuring and kept an eye on those of us at the back. It started at 2pm and ended around 6:30pm so it was quite a long tour but the guide and sites were able to hold my interest throughout. It was my first bike tour and I would definitely consider doing another when when visiting other cities.

Our guide Sylvain showed us a different side of Toulouse, the beautiful architecture from a bike. He explained how the city went through several transformations and was able to preserve a lot of original features. I would definitely do it again.
