We met David on a Friday morning at the Tram stop. David presented the agenda for the day and said, that any changes would be welcome. We could stay in one place as long as we liked or could venture on at any time. It was a free and easy schedule to explore whatever the day presented. The 300-hectare dolomite rock formations of Mourèze were amazing. We strolled through the narrow streets of Mourèze and stopped to visit the church. We then took a nice hike to a ridge overlooking the village and an even more amazing view of the 160 million year-old rock formations and the medieval village. The ride between destination was scenic and comfortable. David pulled to the side several time to let anxious drivers pass, so that we could enjoy the views. David shared his vast knowledgeable of the area throughout the day.
The views as we approached Lake Salagou were incredible. A visual masterpiece is an accurate description. After a short hike we stop to have a pleasant lunch beside the lake. A light rain shower was refreshing and gratefully the only rain we encountered that day. The devil's bridge truly offered breathtaking views of the Gorges de l'Herault. I wish we had planned to stop and swim here as the water was such a beautiful deep blue. Even better if we had planned to paddle down the Gorge. Actually there are several reasons to come back to this area. Exploring the narrow streets and stone houses of medieval St Guilhem-Le-Desert and Benedictine Gelone Abbey was enchanting. I would say that our Visit of the Hérault Great Sites with Wisud was nothing short of a Masterpiece. It was truly extraordinary what we were able to see and do on aFriday in Southern France.

The choice of places to visit is very well-thought-out, including both natural sights and towns with beautiful architecture and shopping opportunities.
We started with a walk and light hike to see the Cirque de Mourèze, passing through the quiet and beautiful Mourèze village, drove to the lac du Salagou, where we had a rest and a picnic, saw the Pont du Diable and even stopped for some souvenir shopping, and ended with Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, a very well-preserved medieval village, that has a very lively and warm atmosphere.
Our guide, David, was extremely helpful throughout, offering plenty of information, encouraging people to chime in with their thoughts, keeping track of everyone's location so that we wouldn't get lost, and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves.
Lovely experience, and I look forward to going back to Montpellier and going on other tours guided by David/organised by WISUD, I think it's a more efficient way to see and learn as much as possible of the area than trying to plan everything on your own is, and the included transportation is very convenient.

Wow! Great, very detailed commentary, I love it. As you say, I try to make my excursions friendly and accessible to everyone, while mixing old villages and nature sites. In small groups, of course, and always full of surprises and unexpected events.

Three very different locations with St Guilhem in the Desert being the highlight. September meant the village was a lot quieter. The church and museum a revelation. Suggest being more prepared than I was. Take min of 1.5 litre of water.
