It’s taken me a few weeks to be able to process the experience I had on this excursion. I thought that booking a semi-private tour of the river with my teenage daughter would give us some quality time and some peace in the busy landscape of Paris in the summer. From the second we met our captain/owner of the company, we were hounded with (berated) requests that we not ask him to take any photos. Apparently, he had received a bad review from someone (an Influencer) who was upset that he did not play photographer. We assured him over and over that we would not request any photos. He also was adamant that we not get up and “rock the boat.” Again, we assured him that we understood his direction. Nothing we said would suffice. He yelled at us to pay attention to him and would not stop directing us on simple things that we promised to obey. We ended up getting off the tour after 20 minutes when another guest was seasick and needed to depart. Please do not support this business. It was a horrible experience.

If you are looking for an intimate river boat tour then look no further! Absolutely a highlight of our trip to your Paris by river. Our tour guide was fantastic!

I took my daughter (9) on a trip with Arturo at the beginning of June, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our weekend in Paris. I did a lot of research in advance, having gone with one of the bigger boats on a previous trip to Paris but the recent reviews regarding crowds, queuing and value for money put me off. This private trip, that we shared with one other family, was absolute value for money - from the minute I booked, it felt personal, thoughtful and fun. The trip itself was nearly 90 minutes covering all the sights along the Seine but also with lots of extra knowledge from Arturo, surprise snacks, incredible photos at just the right spots, and a relaxed personal vide all round. If you can stretch your budget from the bigger boats to this private one, then I would highly recommend going with Arturo. You will create amazing memories.

Excellent tour. Great way to see the highlights of Paris and learn some history. Artur's son was our guide and he was terrific - fun, engaging and very professional. Thoroughly recommend this tour - so much better than doing a river tour on one of the large boats and very reasonably priced.

Arthur is one of a kind. Truly the highlight of our Paris experience. The beautiful sights of Paris are one thing, but the commentary and photos Arthur took for us took it above and beyond for us. My family is English speaking Americans and that wasn’t an issue at all. We had a proposal onboard and he did everything he could to make it as special as possible (music, video, best angles). I mean this with full sincerity, you cannot come to Paris without doing this boat tour.

We were really looking forward to our river cruise as part of our trip to Paris and were ultimately pretty disappointed with the experience we had at this price point. To get it out of the way, we got unexpected rain during the cruise and that definitely impacted our experience, but it is not the reason for the negative review, as we know the tour operator has no control over weather. We had three primary frustrations with our tour experience. First and most overwhelmingly, we were looking forward to using the tour as a way to learn more about Paris and the landmarks we would be passing while on the boat. While our guide was friendly and shared some information with our group, he did not have material prepared to share the history about most things we passed. Most of the things he did say and teach us relied on us asking questions and prompting him for information. Second, despite our guide starting the tour by highlighting that he would take photos for us at multiple spots throughout the course of the cruise, we finished with photos from only one location while the other groups in our tour all got photos at 3 or more locations. Our guide did say he planned to take photos of us passing by the same sights on the return trip, but after we got stuck in the pouring rain, that was no longer an appealing option. We were frustrated because the other couples repeatedly got cycled in front of us and ended up with lots of good photos before the weather rolled in, and our patience ultimately left us without the photos we were hoping for. Lastly, while we completely understand that the operator cannot control or predict the weather, the lack of preparation for and response to the rain storm that popped up was disappointing. Our guide remarked that at this time of year it is very common for rain to pop up unexpectedly, but the tour company had no towels, blankets, ponchos, etc. for us to use. Furthermore, there was a shade/roof at the front of the boat, and when we asked if we could open it he said it was not possible, so we were left without coverage. Finally, after we were completely soaked and finished the tour, our guide made a lighthearted comment that we should come back later in the summer when the weather would be better, which despite his intent was incredibly frustrating given how much it cost to get to Paris and do this tour. We really struggled with writing this negative review because we know how hard this business is and don’t want to unfairly impact their small business endeavors, but ultimately felt that other travelers should hear about our experience so they can make an informed decision. While the service was friendly and the boat was lovely, we simply did not feel our experience was worth the comparatively expensive price we paid to be on a semiprivate tour.

We had a wonderful time! Our host provided a knowledgeable and friendly Seine River tour that included a generous spread of refreshments to enjoy throughout the experience. We made several stops for individual and group photos in front of landmarks. They delivered a wonderful time that the “big boats” simply cannot match.
