- Y1483UMkathleenh00Our WWII History AdventureMy husband and I took an 18 day trip from Normandy to Berlin with NAH. We had an absolutely great adventure. Rudy was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable on WWII...we learned many interesting facts of history. NAH took care of everything so it made the trip that much easier and the one on one attention was the best. We went to sites you would never be able to go if you were on a bus tour. NAH and Rudy are the best!!
- trinassabin00Once in a lifetime experienceThank you, Pierre and Rudy, for putting together an incredible day visiting Normandy. We were picked up in Bayeux and spent the day with Pierre. Normandy American Heroes put together a well thought out itinerary that offered us a glimpse into the events on that historic day. Pierre made details come alive for my 2 teenage boys who are big history enthusiast. We underestimated how many important sites there were to see. We hope to go back.
- mongoose53300Great Experience learning about NormandyMy 15 year old son and I toured 2 days with Pierre in August. We did extensive tour of Omaha beach, Utah beach, museums, cemeteries, batteries and much more! Was excellent and Pierre was fantastic! I also had the opportunity to meet Rudy and he was fantastic as well. It made me want to go back again soon to see the many more offerings they have at American Heroes. I highly recommend!
- Z5839MVgregw00Fantastic history experiencePierre was amazing. He kept our children engaged and made our experience very personal. I would highly recommend.
- lynngrethouse00North Carolina Families Visit NormandyRecently, our group that consisted of 12 adults (2 families) visited the Normandy area. We were fortunate enough to book our guide and tour through Rudy. We had communicated with Rudy ahead of time and had our tour mapped out for some specific sites that we wanted to see. Our guide was Pierre and our experience with the entire tour was fantastic. Pierre was knowledgeable, fun, organized and our entire two days were spent learning and enjoying the Normandy region. We had a variety of history knowledge among our group and Pierre was able to capture our attention and help us relive a historical moment in time with our American soldiers. We did not have to wait in line at any museum or for our lunch reservations. The entire day was flawless. I would highly recommend Rudy and the Normandy American Heroes tour compnay and our guide, Pierre. We will definitely be back. The Godwin and Ftichett Families
- ChristiP17500WWII Historical Adventure of a LifetimeMy 17 year old son and I took a 10-day Band of Brothers + Eagle’s nest tour with Rudy in June and we had an absolutely AMAZING adventure. From the D-Day Beaches to Eagles Nest and everything in-between like visiting la Rouche-Guyon castle with its medieval keep and WWII history, walking through German bunkers and casemates at Azeville and Omaha Beach, listening to TAPS during the flag folding ceremony at the Normandy American cemetery, visiting the foxholes in the Bois Jacques in Bastogne to visit the forest where the Allies held their ground during the Battle of the Bulge, walking the Nazi party rally grounds in Nuremberg, and touring the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria. We were also able to follow in my Grandfather’s footsteps (an American B-17 Navigator and POW) for part of the tour which was a heartwarming experience for us both. The Normandy American Heroes tour was an experience my son and I will never forget. Rudy takes the time to explain what happened at each site that we visited and is passionate about the small details. And nothing can beat a small tour with an expert guide. Rudy knows the best times to visit each site so you get the personalized experience you are looking for. He recommends books and movies to watch to learn more. He even helped my son pick out an authentic American WWII helmet from Bastogne to purchase as a souvenir to bring home. Rudy said he is going to make a photo scrapbook for us as well which we look forward to! The lodging and meals Rudy booked for us were all excellent. And Myles was great in talking with us in the early planning stages to help us personalize our tour. We cannot recommend Rudy and NAH enough. Thank you NAH for an adventure of a lifetime with my son!
- marysG1073NA00Phenomenal Tour with Pierre of Normandy American Heroes!Phenomenal tour with Pierre of Normandy American Heroes! We recently spent three days doing the ‘a la carte’ tour of Normandy Invasion beaches and battlefields, guided by Pierre Fallet of the Normandy American Heroes tour company. Pierre, who grew up in the Normandy area, shared his extensive knowledge and personal insight into the magnitude and timeline of the American element of the WW II war-ending Allied invasion of France and the European Continent. It was a remarkable immersion into World War II history. We had selected three days focusing on landings at Omaha Beach and La Pointe du Hoc, at Utah Beach and associated drop zones, and Mont Saint Michel and Operation Luttich. Pierre’s ability to explain the impact of the invasion from the individual soldiers who landed on these battlefield beaches to the incredible high level of planning, logistics and world impact of the Allied efforts was a daily feast of history and interpretation that left everyone in our group impressed. While Pierre was far younger than his six person audience, it was clear his commanding presence and passion for Normandy and its role in turning the tide of the war went far beyond that of a tour guide. He lives and breathes this history, with the provenance of a French citizen. I hope anyone interested in learning more about the historic nature of the Allied effort will seek out Normandy American Heroes and have the privilege of being guided by Pierre or one of their other knowledgeable historians. I should note that we first contacted NAH’s owner and interpretive guide Rudy Passera in early 2022 to schedule this trip. Our group included a retired Army National Guard Colonel who had multiple deployments including Iraq and Afghanistan involving Forward Surgical Teams, a nurse as well as two senior National park managers who retired from the National Park Service. We were all deeply moved by the depth of preparation and immersive experiences Rudy and Pierre designed and provided.
- Happiness74816600TourMy dad and I took the Normandy tour with the add on of Verdun and some of the Hitler sites in Germany along with Dachau concentration camp. We were fortunate enough to have both Rudy and Pierre guide us on our 10 day tour. My dad has always been a WWII lover and I teach high school history in the states. We were guided to every hotel and restaurant during our tour and it was all excellent. Rudy takes care of his guests and ensures they have a once in a lifetime experience. I mean this when I say, we could not have done this tour without Rudy’s guidance. If you have the desire to travel to WWII sites and take tours, you can’t go wrong with Rudy. It is a trip we will treasure forever.
- Alan K00Great knowledge and great day.Pierre was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and very respectful of what D-Day meant to my family. While I don’t have any direct relatives who served, my childhood neighbor was part of the force that liberated France in 1944. I gained a great appreciation of what happened at Utah Beach and Pointe du Hoc.
- rbrski00Normandy Tour Full of Moving, Memorable, and Special Touches throughout the DayThis day was the highlight of our European vacation. Hands down Rudy was an UNBELIEVABLE tour guide. You will NOT go wrong with booking a tour thru Normandy American Heroes. The location of Normandy itself is very humbling then add the vast information Rudy provides brings it to the next level. With his deep sense of knowledge for the history of the campaign and first hand information collected throughout the years, you will feel like you are actually living out the events as they happened nearly 80 years ago. We saw all that we wanted, and then more thanks to the fantastic experience from Rudy.
- rolandc25200June 2023 5 Day D-Day Tour - AmazingAfter a year’s wait, my father-in-law and I (Army & Air Force veterans respectively) just completed the 5 Day spectacular D-Day Tour with @Normandy American Heros (NAH). We did our research prior and were looking not only for a “great tour”, but one that was educational, detailed, broad, and manageable in 5 days and NAH did not disappoint! From the beaches to the museums, to intact remnants of a War fought 80 years ago, our guide Pierre, vividly brought to life through stories, facts, and imagination the timing, events, counter events, and the meanings of each battle, each city, each crossroad, and every Division, Battalion, and Regiment. Passion doesn’t describe Pierre’s commitment to the tour. Explanations of misconceptions, details provided that can only be learned through deep inspection of facts, writings, and historical documents, and in person visualizations at the locations of each event enabled us to understand the immensity of the challenge the Allies faced, the complexity of a fragmented German military, and the courage, determination, and strength it took to overturn the evil that was the Third Reich. What made the tour even better was the communication from Rudy and Pierre prior to the trip right through our daily debriefs. The excelled at making this “our trip” and went the extra steps to ensure it was a trip of a lifetime. My father-in-law is a Bugle player, and through their efforts, was able to sound Taps for a wreath laying ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery on Memorial Day. Something he and I will never forget. Their personal investment in our comfort, pace, and their connections with the communities, hotels, and restaurants are simply astounding. They know their craft and they do it well. Anyone not looking for a vacation, but rather an experience, should reach out to Rudy and team at Normandy American Heroes. A trip of a lifetime with team solely focused on your experience, and the truth.
- Ken O00Fabulous Band of Brothers Private TourOur 8 day tour with Normandy American Heroes was better that expected and more than we had hoped for Rudy Passera combines historical facts with personal stories of the brave warriors who fought in WW 2. We visited many significant battle sites and beaches, outstanding museums and memorial cemeteries. Additionally, Rudy took us to many historical religious and cultural sites which brought our tour to an entirely different level. Our hotels in Bayeux and Bastogne were very nice and the resturant’s he took us to for meals were all excellent. Rudy loves honoring those who served the Allied cause in WW 2 and he is very fun to travel with. I highly recommend Normandy American Heroes for anyone interested in a personalized European WW 2 historical tour.
- williamtD6295DJ00From Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge! An 8 day private tour with Normandy American Hero’s Rudy Passera. The most wonderful trip and host we’ve ever experienced! Rudy provided excellent organization, hospitality and well planned daily trips, hotels, lunch and dinner venues along with suggesting the most amazing choices as to what to eat, having fun and relaxation after emotional and humbling days on the front lines of history! From the beaches of Utah, Omaha and Point du Hoc, Cathedral Notre Dame De Bayeux, Maisy Battery and Bunkers, Chateau LaRoche Guyon, Museums, Mont Saint Michel, American and German Cemeteries, Cathedral de Reims, more Museums, St Therese of Lisieux, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and so much more. Our host Rudy Passera was very knowledgeable, passionate and personable and the tour was more than we ever could have imagined and far exceeded our expectations! We would definitely recommend this tour, with Rudy, to everyone that wants to experience the battle adventures from Normandy to Bastogne! Thank you so very much, Rudy, The Thomas’
- jefftP9781JQ008 Days from Normandy to the Battle of the BulgeWhat a fantastic trip of a lifetime! My wife and I recently completed an 8-day trip with Normandy American Heroes. Rudy could not have been more knowledgeable, accommodating and personable. Such a fantastic, full and humbling adventure to honor the sacrifices made by another generation. We could not recommend this company enough. 8-days and Rudy already feels like family. Thanks Rudy and Pierre for making this bucket trip so memorable!
- 794jefferyd003 Day A-la-Carte Normandy TourMy wife and I recently completed a three day a-la-carte tour of Normandy with Pierre Fallet from Normandy American Heroes. We would highly recommend Normandy American Heroes. Our 'guide' (more like a friend than guide) Pierre was knowledgeable, passionate about 'our boys' and his comradery was perfect. We visited Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Mont St. Michele and Mortain (Hill 314) and Pierre brought to life the sacrifice, courage and real history of the men who made the world we live in still today, Omaha Beach Cemetery, Brittany Cemetery were humbling and Pierre help us understand them from their construction to the great men who sacrificed everything and are resting there.

Rudy was an absolutely Amazing host and tour guide. We first had a Zoom meeting with him while our Hime back in California. We discussed everything we wanted to see. Rudy went the extra mile for us. We were going to take the train to Normandy but the tracks were under construction. Rudy drive all the way to Paris to pick us up! The tour in Normandy of beach were breathtaking. The sights the stories he told made us feel that we were there foe the D Day conquest. Our time at the American cemetery was an eye opening experience. Rows and row of crosses, metal of honor recipients all told such touching stories. Our next day we went to Mt St Michele. This was fabulous. Two days with Rudy is a must. We will be doing more tours with him. We live history and “Rudy is History”. We cannot thank Rudy enough for giving us a tour of a lifetime.
For anyone that wants an authentic tour of the Regions of Normandy Rudy and his company is your best ticket!

Rudy is an amazing tour guide. Rudy took my Father (81 yo) and two of his friends on a trip of a lifetime. Dad has not stopped talking about it. Rudy is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to tailor the trip the trip for so they can see as much as possible within their physical limitations. Thanks again Rudy.

Pierre was truly amazing, both charming, and professional but most of all extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the Normandy experience.
Our recent private Normandy tour helped us appreciate what my husbands Father experienced on D-day.
Pierre told us stories of the soldiers as well as the civilians caught up in the war. We learned incedible details about the planning and execution of the landing in Normandy as well as the incredible odds our American soldiers faced in a way that has forever changed us.
Pierre provided us just the right balance of historical facts, pictures, diagrams, stories, exploration of the country side and plenty of time to process our emotions during our two days together at Omaha and Utah beaches.
We highly recommend spending two days with Pierre in Normandy.

My Dad and I took an incredible custom 14 day tour with Rudy starting in Normandy and ending in Berchtesgaden. The knowledge and storytelling Rudy put on display was something I will never forget, whether it was at the graves of American or German soldiers, in front of seemingly innocuous artifacts, or even in what at first glance seemed to be just empty fields but happened to be where some of the most defining actions of WW2 took place. Each location we traveled too came to life with these stories, and it only takes a quick glance at my camera roll to remember each one like I was standing there moments ago.
While traveling to these locations across France, Belgium, and Germany we stayed at very comfortable hotels, tried many incredible local dishes, and learned about the history of the areas themselves such as our time in the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims or in Château de Chambord. We were even lucky enough to catch the tail end of the Christmas season in Luxembourg and experience the shops and sights there! This trip was one of the greatest shared experience for my dad and I to have done together and is something I will never forget!

My family and I loved this tour with Rudy and Normandy American Heroes. Rudy's knowledge and stories about WWII captured the attention of me, my husband and our 3 kids (ages 14, 16 and 17). We spent 10 day with Rudy guiding us through the events in Normandy, Reims France, Bastogne, Munich and Berchtesgaden and Rudy made every moment memorable and personal. Our visits to the German and American war cemeteries were incredibly impressionable for my children who learned, from Rudy, how to identify and research the lives of the American patriots that fought to defend freedom. We traced the path of different US military divisions, experienced the fox holes and revisited the events of major battles during the war, all of which Rudy brought alive with personal details of soldier's stories. Rudy even took us on a hike to hidden tunnels and bunkers in the forest of Germany and on a path following the footsteps of Hitler as he walked from his home to a local café in hills were he often took afternoon tea. I can't say enough about the quality of the tour that Normandy American Heroes delivered!! It's an experience my family will never forget.

Rudy, our tour guide picked us up from our hotel in Paris in his Audi SUV. It was my wife, my self snd our 22 yo daughter. We got out of the city traffic snd the first stop was the headquarters of Rommel while charged with defending the Normandy coast.
Lunch at a cafe adjacent to the castle was included.
Then, on to Bayeux which would be our base of operations. Rudy recommended several hotels and we chose Hotel le Bayeux and loved it. Breakfast included. We had a spacious 2 bedroom suite and Cedric and Elodie’ did not disappoint. The next day started with touring the farm where the 101st airborne Easy company landed and visited with Charles, the farms owner who had numerous photos to share of the German gun emplacements where the Germans took over the family farm. On to several museums and ending at sunset on Utah beach.
Day 3 was more museums, a tour of the gun emplacements at point du hoc and a wreath laying ceremony at the American cemetery. The day concluded at sunset on Omaha beach.
Rudy’s knowledge of the area snd the depth of which he studied to prepare was simply incredible. Rudy’s encyclopedic knowledge of the 100 days of the Normandy battle is like having a walking Wikipedia with you. He gave us personal stories of specific soldiers, their significance and their heroics. Standing on top of the German gun emplacement that General James Rudder and his Rangers neutralized was a special moment to my daughter, a Texas Aggie and connected the significance of Rudder tower on the campus to Rudder tower at Point du Hoc.
I will say that you need to wear comfortable water resistant shoes. We walked and climbed a lot of stairs.
We took the non stop train back to Paris. 1st class tickets were 84 euros for the 3 of us(total).
Rudy also gave us a list of restaurant recommendations in Bayeux. All spot on. The highlight was La Maison Blanche. John is a great host and VERY entertaining! 5 star experience all the way around.
