About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jennifer H0 contributionsWonderful lunch with viewThe food was hard to choose because everything sounded great. Everything we ate was tasty and the kids enjoyed it too. The wine paring was spot on. The staff was attentive, friendly and spoke excellent English. The views were spectacular of course. I highly recommend going on the top deck and taking photos.Written October 20, 2024
- InflatableSumo0 contributionsIncredibly beautiful experience. The facility, the food, and the service was all perfect. I loved our servers. The wine pairing was nice. The view was incredible. I cannot recommend this enough. Do not skip this!Written September 29, 2024
- 574aimeer0 contributionsVery bad food, even worse serviceThis was by far the worst meal of our 2 week European trip. The food didn't taste fresh and the texture of every single was mushy - tasted like bad airline food. The service was even worse! I had to get up to ask for waters to be refilled after 20 minutes of not seeing any service staff, only to find the staff in the galley eating bread right from the serving bowl - standing around chatting. My husband and I did this dinner cruise several years ago and have such fond memories. The food, service, and ambience was wonderful...unfortunately the quality has gone downhill considerably. The views on the Siene were divine, would highly encourage anyone to do a dinner cruise!Written July 1, 2024
- F8571MNclairef0 contributionsVery pleasantA lovely afternoon on the Seine with a light repast of several courses and accompanying wine. Great views of the Statue of Liberty and etc but it’s not an event for Instagram as much as a charming meal.Written May 27, 2024
- StavrosManousakis0 contributionsRomantic DinnerVery good experience, the food is quite good, I recommend it for a romantic dinner, of course it is the best for dinner crossing the Siquana riverWritten January 22, 2024
- cathybB6626DR0 contributionsIt's okFood was good. Not 3 star Unfortunately not much illumination. And no explanation of what we were seeing. Disappointed in attire of passengers. Website ked us to believe this was a coat tie evening compared to other bateau mouches. Not at all. The food/service was not of level of other Ducasse restaurants on previous visits to ParisWritten November 13, 2023
- 544deimant_a0 contributionsHorrible service! Bad foodHORRIBLE!!! Service was rude and bad! I would never go back there again! Our servant was the worst girl ever! Super ignorant and rude! We ordered a bottle of wine for 250$ she put glasses then she walked and didn’t even pour wine! Food was just ok for that price! DON’t go!!!!!Written October 29, 2023
- wvanwass0 contributionsMust do dining in ParisOverall this is a magical experience on the Seine. The food and wines are divine and the boat is tastefully designed. This was our second visit and unfortunately service was not as good as the first time.Written October 26, 2023
- huntejk0 contributionsEverything excellent, especially good for gluten-free.We have done the Bateaux Parisien cruises so we thought we would try this one. The others were great and so was this one. Smaller boat, but the food was a bit better. Everything on the menu was gluten-free except one dessert. Good GF bread. We had the three courses and wine pairings. Several amuse bouche. Only warning was that our table was in the sun and I wore and turtleneck and it was really warm. Very well done.Written October 13, 2023
- ronj4760 contributionsCalm, cuisine, and memoriesEnjoyed a meal, on the Maxim’s boat, and watched the sights glide by. The food was excellent and the servers couldn’t have been more accommodating. The drinks were generous and plentiful. Seeing the Eiffel Tour in full sparkle while gliding by on the Seine is a memory that will stay with me forever. Don’t miss it.Written October 9, 2023
- lisafQ9774CD0 contributionsDespite high expectations- managed To exceed!!From the amuse Bouche to the fantastic desserts, this is an experience not to be missed. It is not a touristy boat down the Seine but a fine dining experience while cruising through the most beautiful city. Every dish exceed our expectations.Written October 7, 2023
- UTB880 contributionsA must do “spoil yourself” evening of opulence and delightOutstanding experience, beautiful interior and ambience. The 7 course with paired wine was a delight. Amazing views throughout the evening. Arrived 19:15 for a 19:30 departure. Table a window toward rear of boat - a very special space with impactful decor and table sets. The tour gave brilliant views from the table but also an open deck to get unobstructed views for perfect photographs. It’s not cheap, but I have to say it feels special and an experience I would recommend.Written September 30, 2023
- tweenmom110 contributionsA magical evening on the SeineI thought this experience might be too touristy for my taste, but it was one of the highlights of our trip. The boat is beautiful, the service impeccable, and the food and wine enjoyable. Of our four-course meal, everything was incredible with the possible exception of the main course (I selected chicken and potatoes Anna), which was good but not as memorable as the other courses. The night views of Paris were unforgettable!Written September 19, 2023
- cantravnut0 contributionsMagical food, wine and views in Paris - not for your first visit though25th wedding anniversary and it was special. I do NOT recommend for your first time in Paris as the food and the scenery will compete. This was ideal for us as we know the city and it was fun to see it in a different perspective, and yet we could also fully enjoy the food. 4-courses with a nice bottle of wine, service was good if a little bossy (you may get called back if you go outside but your food is ready!). Otherwise, delicious and full of charm; truly magical to set sail in daylight and return as the Eiffel tower is glowing in the dark. Expensive but worthwhile as a special treat.Written August 16, 2023
- Quest2Go0 contributionsDisappointing Food Attractive BoatMy wife and I took the Ducasse river cruise which was a gastronomical disappointment. Picture scores of people having to be served all at once on a river boat so that the trip can finish in the allotted time. Add to the picture a very young and stressed waitstaff and finish the picture with precooked food that is overpriced, miniscule and uninteresting but what would you expect on a 2 hour river cruise. Our main course was Pollock a white fish that was red in the center and undercooked. The boat and scenery are excluded from my negative reaction to this attraction.Written May 14, 2023

We made a reservation well in advance for a dinner (menu) COM tour by the River Senna. On the day of dinner, 30 minutes before the tour we received an email from the restaurant informing that it would not be possible to carry out the navigation through the Senna River. So, we asked if it would be possible to cancel, so they informed that NO, but that I could remarket for future dates (well distant). By our will we would have canceled...
Then, without any other option, we held dinner with the boat PARADA. Unfortunately no “PLUS” was provided for this situation, but finally...
We enjoy the evening and appreciate the menu chosen by us. The menu was excellent, the care of Vaiana was great, but we infallibly paid for an experience that we could not take advantage of, which was the dinner sailing the Senna River. That was the reason for my note.

My husband and I decided to spend our last evening in Paris on this delightful Ducasse sur Seine dinner cruise. Our decision to book a reservation was based on knowing it was part of the Alain Ducasse group and all the great reviews we read.
The boat offered an elegant ambience. The service and food were exceptional. The boat glided quietly on the Seine and offered a peaceful experience with wonderful views of the city starting and ending at the Eiffel Tower.
I would definitely recommend this dinner cruise.

This was my second experience with this dinner cruise, the first being when a friend and I spent a week in Paris. This time my husband and another couple who are dear friends were part of the evening. It was, for our friends, the first trip ever to Europe and Paris and this evening was a perfect introduction to the beautiful city of lights.
Our experience paired wine with each course. Each was very good - the food was delicious and beautifully presented. It seems that now diners are staggered so that service staff is not completely overwhelmed - this is a good thing. It also allows guests to enjoy the evening without wondering where their plates are and why one table is served and not their own.
The Seine is a busy place at this time of year, so there were quite a few other boats on the water. That just made for a more interesting view.
We have enjoyed Alain Ducasse’s restaurants in London, at Le Meurice, the Eiffel Tower and this cruise and have absolutely no complaints…..only compliments.
Is this a touristy thing to do? Absolutely. If you are visiting the city and are looking for a different kind of evening this is an excellent choice. We would certainly do this again!

It was a very rainy day and a dark and rainy night in Paris. In spite of the rain and the high river flow, we departed on time. That is the good news!
The dining areas on the boat had no warmth or pleasant ambience. A bit like an expensive cafeteria. Service was perfunctory, at best. There didn't seem to be any leadership in the "front" of the restaurant. We certainly felt more like customers than guests.
Food was not worth the price, even when considering the extra costs associated with a river cruise. During our 16 days in France, we ate lunch and dinner at many nice restaurants in Paris, Lyon, Chateauneuf du Pape, and Avignon, some Michelin starred and some not. Several quite expensive. This was the only restaurant where we felt like we wasted our money, paying a lot for average food and substandard service.
The toilets ran out of towels in the sink area well before the dessert course. They were never resupplied even after staff was informed. Throughout the trip, there truly was little or no effort made to make the cruise a pleasant dining experience.
In spite of the rain, Paris is always lovely and beautiful and the views were still nice out the windows.
Because it was raining so hard, we asked the restaurant to call us a taxi or other car so we didn't have to walk back to our hotel through the street flooding. We made this request bout 20 minutes in advance of our expected arrival back at the dock. At the completion of dinner, no taxis were available, perhaps because of the high demand for taxis due to rain or perhaps because they never bothered to call anyone. Given their remote dock location and the expected needs of their "guests", you would think that the restaurant would have relationships with drivers and taxi companies that would be responsive to their needs.
Eventually, one of the wait staff was kind enough to walk up the stairs to the avenue above, stand in the pouring rain, and hail a taxi. Bless her! We finally got out of the restaurant about 30 minutes after the completion of our meal.
Save your money and don't go on this dinner cruise. There are hundreds and hundreds of better, and less expensive, dining experiences in Paris.

We went for what was supposed to be a great dinner. Unfortunately this was not the case.
Four of us arrived with high expectations and had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Considering the price, and the many other options available in Paris we arrived expecting a special experience.
A short while after being seated at our table we were offered water service, we told the sommelier we wanted cocktails she informed us that wine was included with our dinner and seemed amazed that we would want a drink, nevertheless she took the order and explained that the specialty cocktails were the only ones available and a martini was not possible. After we got done scratching our heads (because they clearly had vodka, but we’re not capable of shaking it into a martini) we ordered 3 of the specialty cocktails which were ordinary. There is a stereotype of the rude Parisian waiter/waitress which had I never encountered personally especially at Michelin restaurants but our sommelier fit that description to a “t”. I asked for napkins as there were none on the table. A short while later the cocktails arrived and again I requested napkins. After we finished our cocktails I again asked for napkins and they arrived shortly after. The meal itself was disappointing there was a lack of flavor and finesse. There are so many options in Paris I suggest this not be one.

Our recent anniversary meal at Ducasse sur Seine regrettably fell well short of expectations. Despite the visually appealing presentation (although the lobster was presented as a variation of brown sauces which was not very appealing?) , the dishes also lacked flavour and taste. The jus were particularly bland, and the lobster bisque had an unpleasant gritty texture. Additionally, the palate cleansers and strawberry dessert were unexpectedly bitter, diminishing the overall dining experience.
Although some of the waiting staff provided excellent service, their efforts were undermined by the kitchen's lackluster performance. It seemed the kitchen staff have lost their passion for what they do, resulting in a meal that did not meet the high standards typically associated with the Ducasse name.
The evening was salvaged somewhat by the picturesque setting on the boat and the extensive wine menu. However, the overall experience felt more like a tourist trap than a fine dining affair. As travel industry professionals, we will not be booking our clients here in the future. In our opinion, Ducasse sur Seine does not uphold the prestigious Ducasse reputation.
Such a shame - as it could so easily have been such a great experience had the food lived up to its €200pp price tag!

We booked and PRE-PAID (over 300 Euros) this dinner cruise 3 months in advance for Valentine's Day evening (2022). Even though we had printed our valid paid tickets and were ready for the event, we were notified hours before we would have to pay double the price immediately for our original tickets to be honored. There are MANY other dinner cruise operators that we have used before with no trouble and had a fabulous experience. It was our mistake to change and try this option. They are not a reputable business to deal with.

We originally booked a dinner cruise on the Seine on the evening of January 2nd with another company, but after good friends told us about the wonderful meal aboard Ducasse Sur Seine, we decided to forego that reservation and up the ante for an elevated meal experience aboard their electric boat to see Paris at night. It was our last night in Paris after a fabulous five day stay, and we wanted to end it on a high for our family of 7. We booked the four course meal with wine pairing.
We received an email the day before the booking, which we paid for in advance in full, letting us know that due to high waters, there was a high probability that they would not be able to sail, but that dinner service would still be offered, and further to the terms of our already paid for booking, we were obligated to honor the reservation but they would give us a 15% discount. This was, of course, highly disappointing as there are so many wonderful restaurants in Paris for the cost of over 200 euros per person that we would have chosen over this stationery, moored restaurant. But given the big investment, we decided to persevere. The food was very good, but the service was mechanical and unfriendly. Given the significant disappointment of all of the guests, one would have expected a warmer service. We felt rushed. The boat is moored across from the Eiffel Tower, and we were encouraged to step out on deck to take pictures on the hour when the Tower was sparkling. We did this about 5-10 minutes after our main course was served, and when we returned about five minutes after taking photos, the staff had cleared all the plates, including three of which were not yet finished.
To add insult to injury, the boat cruise we had originally booked but cancelled sailed by several times on the 'high waters'. Know that this boat cannot endure the high waters that other dinner cruises can. We would have chosen a less 'elevated' culinary experience with the nightime sights of Paris over this experience for the same cost. Investigate first why this boat cannot sail when other can before booking (read previous reviews from other very disappointed customers).
Note also that we had to email the company to request the 15% off...this was not done automatically!!

Dear guest,
I am really sorry to read your disappointment following your dinner experience aboard Ducasse sur Seine.
The service you describe in your comment doesn't reflect the standard we try to achieve daily. We pride ourselves in offering a detailed and professional service while remaining warm and welcoming. Kindly accept my most sincere apologies for not reaching our usual standards nor your expectations during this dinner.
Should you have the opportunity to visit Paris again, please do not hesitate to contact me directly (martin.chaffanjon@ducasse-paris.com) as I would be delighted to show you our boat under a better light and invite you to enjoy a cruise on our beautiful upper deck with a complimentary glass of Champagne.
I am looking forward to seeing you again.
Best regards,
Martin Chaffanjon

We went on this dinner cruise with high expectations on the last night of our honeymoon in Paris. From the beginning we were confused, the top deck was blocked off and the main restaurant is covered, stuffy, indoors and doesn’t permit many views from that vantage point. The service was terrible and the food truly and remarkably disgusting, much of it was inedible and tasted like gasoline. We could barley see much of the views of Paris throughout the two hours because of the design of the boat and as big fans of Allard were shocked at the terrible quality of the food. Do not waste money or time on this, the food is frozen from a different location not even made on board. Even the bread was stale!! Don’t go.

Dream dinner at the dock, despite a cruise canceled due to the flooded Seine. A unique moment that we may not be able to relive in such flood circumstances, but on the other hand we will come back to repeat this cruise on a more lenient Seine and will once again enjoy the delicious and fantastic dinner due to the quality and beauty of the dishes as well as by the kindness, the availability of the staff, and the quality of the service on this magnificent restaurant boat. A big congratulations to the Chef and a big thank you to the Seine for being in flood that evening.
