- confectioniquec0 contributionsFrancoise Guida-Davin, a culinary treasure of Paris!Bonjour world! I have had the privilege of working with Francoise Guida-Davin over the years, and I cannot recommend her more highly! I first met Francoise at an Eatwith dinner event at her apartment in Paris with other couples from around the world. She was the perfect host, very kind and very focussed on meeting the needs of her guests. All the dishes she prepared were sumptuous and her signature Soufflet was divine! Since this event, I have hired her to cook for my guests I have brought with me to Paris. My guests always remark "This was my most favorite meal of the entire trip!" No joke! Francoise is patient and so, so talented and deeply enjoys educating others on French cuisine. She takes the time to explain her cooking process, has a beautiful presentation for each course and always delivers on taste. If you are ever fortunate enough to spend time with Francoise either in her kitchen or yours, have an opportunity to consume her delicious dishes, and visit with her through an educational opportunity, consider yourself fortunate! You are likely to have the "most favorite meal of your trip!" Bon Appetit!Written June 14, 2024

All the ingredients we bought were magnificent and we already miss such top quality now we are back home ! We cooked several delicious dishes together while Françoise was giving us useful tips. We learned a lot. Lunch was very relaxing and the conversation flowing. It was like reuniting with an old friend. - mrsDenver_Colorado0 contributionsHighlight of our trip to PairsOur family (with two 11 year olds) took a cooking class with Francoise and it was the highlight of our trip to Paris. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, so interesting to talk with and lives in a beautiful and authentic part of the City. We really enjoyed all the purveyors she brought us to and the amazing food available. We had a great time learning to cook several dishes and snacking on some other delicious treats. Can't wait to try the recipes she sent afterwards now that we are back at home. Overall a very valuable and memorable experience for all of us.Written April 7, 2023

- kristenwM3031RJ0 contributionsAn authentic French dining experienceThe market tour and cooking class with Françoise in Paris was delightful! She took us to several of her favorite vendors at the market, put together a delicious cheese and sausage board for us to nibble on while she taught us how to make a traditional cheese soufflé. And the unique merengue dessert was amazing! Our teenage kids loved every minute of the experience as well. I will definitely book through Traveling Spoon again.Written June 20, 2022
- copperhead710 contributionsWonderful classic French cookingIt was an honor to be hosted by Michele and Patrice in their Paris home. The view from the kitchen is incredible! Michelle taught us how to prepare an easy and classic French dish that we will definitely be recreating. She put so much thought and care into planning the meal including appetizers and a huge selection of cheeses. Most of all we really enjoyed getting to know Michele and Patrice.Written October 24, 2021

I recently went on a local market tour in Paris, with Laurence to taste and see the
local produce such as varieties of meats fruits and cheese. The experience was delightful, with a diverse selection of fresh produce and artisanal cheeses that showcased the rich culinary culture of the region. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors of France and Paris.

Lots of fun walking the market with Laurence, exploring the different charcuterie’s, fruits and vegetables. Almost sense the development of food and the true seasonality of what we eat and when.

Delightful morning/afternoon learning about regional French food and wines and discussing all things related to food, France, and travel. Walked through market and tasted food not easily available in American grocery stores (cheeses, meats, and some fruits too). Loved getting a local perspective on food and Laurence was kind, patient, and gracious with all our questions/conversations. Absolutely loved it!!

This was our favorite experience while we were visiting Paris. Our guide was fabulous. She made us feel very welcome, showed us the best market, and helped us experience Paris like a local! She was knowledgeable in the local wine and cheese and spent time sharing customary shopping and eating habits of the French. I highly recommend this experience with Laurence.

We had a great time with Laurence exploring the Marche D’Aligre market! First we met with her at a wonderful cafe where we had coffee and discussed the history and details of the market. Then we explored the market and Laurence impressed us very much with her in depth knowledge. We were traveling with our 15-month-old which isn't always easy in Paris but Laurence was very understanding and flexible. This experience was a wonderful authentic way to end our trip and we would highly recommend it!
