I must admit, I had pretty low expectations for a food tour but our guide Bobby turned this little tour into one of the best experiences we had in Paris. Since our hotel was in the Latin Quarter, we only had to walk about 3 blocks to meet him in front of a cafe. He was right on time and given that another couple had cancelled at the last minute, it was just the two of us and Bobby wandering around. We started by visiting a little boulangerie/patisserie where we sampled some croissants etc and bought some more for the picnic. Then off we ambled down streets, not only buying cheese and wine, but Bobby would point out various architecture, mix in a little history, and personal anecdotes of life in Paris. At one point we stopped to sample some oysters and snails and some wine. At the end of the tour, we sat in the sun in a little park which just happened to be behind our hotel and had a little picnic (with wine glasses courtesy of Bobby). Recommend you do this tour early in visit as it will enhance the rest of your stay. And Bobby also sent me list of his favourite markets and restaurants afterwards. Just a fun, relaxing and interesting tour.

I took this tour with Bobby & Lenore (hopefully I spelt it correctly) yesterday and had an absolute ball! I tasted some foods that I hadn’t tried before and learnt some historical titbits as well.

I am new to food tours so this food tour was a great way to break the ice. There was too much cheese so that was great and I tried a lot of new French foods. It is all in English, though it had a local vibe. Took this tour on our 3rd day and I felt like I knew Paris 10 times better after the food tour than in the days before.
It is more of a food market tour, so do not go in expecting to eat at some restaurants, which I was. My fault for not reading the description carefully but in the end it turned out great. Good price for what you get.

Thanks, I'm glad your first food tour won't be your last. Haha, great to meet you guys and as far as restaurants go I hope you made it to some of the ones I recommended.

This is a great way to try a few new things, explore the markets, talk about culture and history, and have a picnic like locals! Oh, did I mention the wine? And cheese, and oysters? I loved the sea snails from the market, and even had to have them for dinner that night! Had I not tried them at this tour - I would not know the difference between snails and that I love them. We really enjoyed this tour and after getting happily stuffed, continued on our way to explore town. Definitely would recommend this activity to anyone interested in French food and culture!

Bobby is an amazing tour guide, and has an excellent taste for delicious food paired with the perfect wine. You will discover the city while enjoying the best food Paris has to offer at an amazing cost. Highly would recommend, best part of our trip!

My daughter and I took the Good Guide Food Tour in Paris on 10/11. Leana was our guide and not only was she good, she was great! We had should a wonderful time exploring the foods of Paris starting with the croissant. Leana took us to various markets as well as a farmers market to taste the local food. We ended our tour at a wonderful local wine shop where we had a great bottle of wine and ate various food items such as cheese, sausage, fruit and a baguette that we picked up along the tour. This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thank you again Leana for such a wonderful day! We will certainly book another tour with The Good Guide when we return to Paris.

We were not sure what to expect here, and this tour was certainly full of good surprises. We tried many foods and were surprised to have a relaxing picnic to continue eating our cheeses meats breads, and even some cornichons that our funny guide brought along

Bobby is as good as it gets for a tour guide. My wife and I had a great time sampling all the delicious food, but Bobby really made the experience with his knowledge and humor. All the restaurant/shop owners like him which makes a big difference when entering and browsing each place. I'm a history nerd and he knew a huge amount about historical places and characters which made the tour even more enjoyable. Would highly, highly recommend.

Me, my wife and our teenage daughter took this food tour and really enjoyed it. Everybody at the shops we stopped at were so friendly with our guide, an American expat, that it made us feel like locals. Though after "bonjour" we were a little clueless, thankfully our guide explained how to properly order, what to get, what to skip, and where everything we ate comes from. After a little convincing my daughter even tried an oyster.

Each stop had great food and at the end we all had a nice picnic with the guide and the group in an old roman coliseum. We definitely ate too much cheese and charcuterie, which went down very well with the wine. I thought it would just be tasting but the tour ended up being our lunch. Overall it was a really good price when you consider the cost of a meal in a restaurant in Paris is not much less. It was a trip highlight for sure and the recommendations we got were well appreciated. Merci!

Took this tour with Bobby this morning and it was exactly as it was described. We stopped at various places along Rue Moufftarde as Bobby told us about the area and gathered food for our picnic. We even stopped for oysters, which were delicious. This tour was just the right amount of everything -- some history, some fun food facts, delicious food, and decent wine -- all delivered with both expertise and ease. Bobby is very personable and seems to truly enjoy what he does. Great way to spend a few hours!
