Lots of fun walking the market with Laurence, exploring the different charcuterie’s, fruits and vegetables. Almost sense the development of food and the true seasonality of what we eat and when.

My family and I had a WONDERFUL experience with Francoise! She is warm, knowledgable and makes you feel like you are a guest in her home. We had a fun trip to the market, a delicious lunch and loved trying her french recipes. Our family (with two 11 year olds) took a cooking class with Francoise and it was the highlight of our trip to Paris. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, so interesting to talk with and lives in a beautiful and authentic part of the City. We really enjoyed all the purveyors she brought us to and the amazing food available. We had a great time learning to cook several dishes and snacking on some other delicious treats. Can't wait to try the recipes she sent afterwards now that we are back at home. Overall a very valuable and memorable experience for all of us.

We couldn't have loved our experience any more. Francoise was warm, clever, kind, and talented. The neighborhood was beautiful and quaint and we felt very Parisian walking through the markets and gorgeous streets. Francoise taught us so much about the food culture of Paris and how to cook an incredibly delicious meal. Our mouths are still watering for the meal. We are grateful for the experience.

The market tour and cooking class with Françoise in Paris was delightful! She took us to several of her favorite vendors at the market, put together a delicious cheese and sausage board for us to nibble on while she taught us how to make a traditional cheese soufflé. And the unique merengue dessert was amazing! Our teenage kids loved every minute of the experience as well. I will definitely book through Traveling Spoon again.

My husband and I had such an enjoyable evening with Fabienne and her friends. She met us at the metro station and took use to a fabulous cheese shop, before making our way up to her beautiful apartment for an amazing, authentic, French meal and great conversation with her other guests. Delightful morning/afternoon learning about regional French food and wines and discussing all things related to food, France, and travel. Walked through market and tasted food not easily available in American grocery stores (cheeses, meats, and some fruits too). Loved getting a local perspective on food and Laurence was kind, patient, and gracious with all our questions/conversations. Absolutely loved it!!

Fabienne is a wonderful host! Did this experience with friends (we were all visiting from the US) and it was one of the most memorable experiences we had. From arrival, Fabienne greeted us and walked us through how to make a yummy French dessert. She made us a special cocktail to enjoy with pre-dinner snacks. We had a lovely dinner but the best part was learning about Fabienne's lifestyle, history and perspective on France. It was a great way to learn more about the French culture and what makes them so passionate about their way of life. Highly recommend!

This was our favorite experience while we were visiting Paris. Our guide was fabulous. She made us feel very welcome, showed us the best market, and helped us experience Paris like a local! She was knowledgeable in the local wine and cheese and spent time sharing customary shopping and eating habits of the French. I highly recommend this experience with Laurence.
