Not sure the front of the line saves any time. Our line was about 20 minutes to get in and the unreserved line seemed smaller. Regardless, the museum building is quite something. They have a large collection of impressionist paintings. Definitely worth a visit.

Everything worked well with our advance purchase tickets. It was extremely crowded in the museum and Starry Night was not at the museum (on loan to another museum). Beautiful place, easy access with the advance tickets.
