Very good tour of the Normandy beaches!
Jul 2019
The tour included the Caen Museum, Point du Hoc, the American Cemetery of Vierville, Omaha Beach and other beaches. Very good guide (can't remember his name), he talked in english, french, italian and spanish and was very cordial. He had a lot of technical knowledge. He went through iconic places. The time they gave us was acceptable, and it included a meal in Caen, where we could try out a wide variety of ham and cheese at a stop near Omaha Beach.
The only thing that I regretted and is worth mentioning is that they didn't stop at the Mulberry in Arromanches because we ran out of time. Otherwise, it was a very good your!

An Awesome Tour To Normandy. Almost Sobbed at the American Memorial~!
Oct 2019
I visited Paris 3 times in the past 2 years. One of the reasons as to why I had a fond memory of France was because of the tours from Paris City Vision. In April 2018, I joined 3 tours with Paris City Vision to Normandy Beach (Memorial to the American, Canadian, and British soldiers), Mont St Michel, and Claude Monet's Giverny and Palace of Versailles tour. The tours were majestic, and they were well-organized. The tour guides were positive, helpful, and informative throughout the journey. The French dinners at Giverny, Normandy, and Mont St Michel were delicious.

Since I was going to Paris again in Sept 2019 enroute to Spain, I decided to go for another tour with Paris City Vision to the Loire Valley's chateaus built by the French kings. Again, I was very happy with the travel experience. The Loire Valley tour was amazing, and I really enjoyed the historical explanation about the king's chateaus. The tour guide was informative and she was very organized in her explanation. I loved the wine tasting and the cheese at a chateau. I was also happy to buy good quality, cheap wines from the Loire Valley.

Thank you very much ParisCityVision. I had very fun and fond memories of Paris and France because of you. That was why I joined 4 tours with this agency.

Amazing locations but the lunch let it down.
I have to say that this tour was very good as a lot was packed into one day which made the price tag/long journey worth it, however, there could be improvements.

We began at the Memorial de Caen which was good, however, it would have been nice to spend a little longer there. We opted for lunch which we had here. It was a set menu which we found to be disappointing. Usually when we go on a trip they provide two or three options to make sure everyone is satisfied. The starter was a salad which was ok. The main was chicken in a cider sauce, green beans and potatoes in a cheese sauce, as someone who doesn’t like cheese I didn’t touch this dish. I didn’t attempt the dessert either as it didn’t look very nice. Although I’m a ‘picky-eater’ I’ve found to be catered to before but here I wasn’t even given the opportunity to ask them to take the cheese off my dish which ruined it. The drinks that were provided were alcoholic or water. If you don’t want to drink at 11:30am in the morning then it felt like a waste of money. To be offered a fizzy drink would have been nice. I’d like to add that one waiter was serving us all which meant as soon as we’d sat down the main meals were coming out before we’d had chance to begin eating our starter. If I had to do this again I wouldn’t have lunch with the tour as by doing this you get an extra hour at the museum which is needed to see everything.

We then went to Point du Hoc which was amazing. To walk around the fortifications where you can easily see Utah and Omaha Beach was breathtaking. Next was a short stop at Omaha Beach, then the American Cemetery, then a quick drive through Arromanches where we got to see the Mulberry Harbour and finally we stopped at Juno Beach.

Day trip to Normandie
Aug 2019 • Solo
This tour is a must take! Only 6 people in a brand new minivan and our gracious tour guide Eliza was also our driver. It was relaxed and beautiful. I was impressed by the pick up and return to my hotel in a private taxi. The lunch was phenomenal and the sites along with the tour guide explanation were very instructional. Can’t miss this tour! It overly made my expectations. Great deal for the price. Highly recommended.

A Moving Trip to Normandy
Jul 2019 • Family
My daughter and I visited Normandy during the 75th anniversary year. The tour is a long one - we had to be at the place at 6:30 AM and got back to Paris at 9:20 that night. The bus is comfortable. Our guide was very knowledgable but she talked incessantly on the trip up. Most of us wanted the quiet to catch up on our sleep during the 3 hour bus ride. The museum was excellent and gave great background information. The battle sites we visited were very moving, but the American Cemetery was my favorite. The grounds are meticulously kept and there is an air of reverence. The only BIG negative about this tour was the lunch served. It was the worst food I had my whole time in France. They could definitely serve more pleasing food - especially considering many of the tourists are American. In conclusion, I would recommend this tour but be prepared to take a day of rest afterwards.

We were in Paris June 2018 with tour group and had free day. I booked Paris City Vision day tour plus lunch to Normandy Beaches. Wonderful but fast visit. Wish we had more time. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and DDay. It was an amazing experience. We were picked up at our hotel at 6A. We arrived to Point du Hoc around 9a. Lunch at chateau was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour.

Ok but not great...
Jun 2019 • Couples
Let me start out by saying the Normandy Beach/Caen Myseum/American Cemetary visits were awesome...very moving, everyone should go visit these sites! But our complaints on this tour company:

1. Charged $35 additional Euro when we arrived, with no explanation, even though we booked a month in advance;

2. They say they won’t wait for anyone, but we waited at the beginning and each of the four stops for “that couple”...cost 45 minutes or so in total, of time;

3. Driver switch in Normandy, who drove 20 MPH slower than outbound driver...we got back at 9:30pm

4. No food or drink provided by tour co.

All in all, just rent a car and drive yourself, the roads are good!

Dear PaulFromHouston, Thank you for your comment. We value your opinion and take it into account when improving our service. We are sorry and surprised to read that you had to pay an additionnal cost for your tour. We are sorry to read that your experience did not go as well as planned. If large groups are not what you enjoy, you may want to have a look a our small group tours (8 people) with a driver guide and a luxury van. These experiences are different and convey much more information and a personnalised speech. As for the meal, lunch is included in the tour you took. Again, we are surprised to read that you did not have food during the tour. We hope you still had a good time in Paris and France. Best Regards, Alexia

Great overview of DDay sites
May 2019 • Couples
Normandy was on hubby’s bucket list, so we booked this tour for our first full day in Paris. Overall it was a a great tour and we got to see the sights that were important to us.

Positives:
Adequate time at each stop
Great lunch at the museum in Caen, including wine!
Comfortable bus

Negatives:
Super early departure
We had breakfast boxes from our hotel and when we were standing in line waiting to board the bus the driver yelled at us and told us we couldn’t eat or drink on the bus. Really?
Other people on the tour not following departure times and making us late.
Last stop at the Canadian beach wasn’t necessary and could have been skipped for time.
Slow, spotty, or non existent WiFi on the bus.
Guides both were French and spoke English as a second language. They both had incredibly annoying speech tics that involved “ah?” At the end of every sentence and sometimes in the middle of a sentence. For the amount of commentary and the overwhelming number of English speakers on the tour, a native English speaking guide would have been appreciated.
