      Not what we expected
Too many people in the workshop. Not enough instructors. Fabric was very disorganized. We thought it would be max 3 hours. Took 5 hours to do the workshop. Was never offered any food or drink. Messed up the colors on my purse, my friends purse didn’t have the right fabric and my other friends purse won’t close. I wouldn’t recommend this.

Do not go!!!! Save your money and purchase a luxury bag instead!!!
I would not recommend Mini Me while you are in Paris. First, there were 12 of us to one single instructor trying to teach all of us how to make these bags. This instructor was also not very kind nor helpful and we had to constantly ask her what we should do or where we should find certain objects, rather than being guided through the experience. Additionally, it takes much longer than 3 hours, we ended up leaving around 1:20 pm after arriving at 9:00am. This was fairly frustrating as we had other plans that we had to reschedule. Finally, the experience was extremely expensive. Everyone that was in the class with us did not leave without spending an additional $150 on their bags -- with some people spending an additional 300 on their creations-- because the instructions were very unclear and the materials were not properly labeled. We ended up spending around $320 per bag after thinking the deposit would be close to enough to cover our creations. We did not have a great experience as it was more expensive than we were anticipating in addition to the fact that the staff was not helpful nor kind.

      Interesting and fun
My wife and daughter (9 year old) had a great time! There were a lot of up sales, but they were welcomed and worth it (in my wife’s opinion). Both, my wife and daughter, want to do this again.

      Inshallah next time
Never got to actually do it which is sad. Was called Friday morning around 0900 and my class was Saturday at 0900. My entire trip was booked around this class and they said there wasn't enough people for the class. I asked if I could buy more tickets just do the class could Halen and they said no to reschedule for the 1pm class, which I couldn't make. Sad, hopefully this doesn't happen to alot of people but I'm sure the class is great and hopefully next time I can experience it.

Great experience - beware price / extras
Bought as a present for my daughter and a friend, who really enjoyed the process. However, it is not clear at any point (especially at the point you purchase) that there are very limited options for the purchase price and just about everything costs extra. It is also not always clear what costs extra and how much (surprised to find at the end that lining with a zip cost extra, vs lining without a zip). To be clear, they really enjoyed it and bags are lovely, but you should expect to pay more than the booking price. I was disappointed that the gift ended up costing their own money, which they had not budgeted for.

Would do this more than once if I’d had time!
I wish I had done this at the beginning of my trip so I could sign up again! Especially after learning what works best. Regardless, it was an awesome experience for everyone there, including non-sewers. I’ve recommended it to my FB sewing group some of whom Have already signed up for a class during their upcoming visits. 10/10!!!

      Unique experience and souvenir
I signed up to this for my 12 year old daughter. It was a unique experience and we enjoyed the session. The staffs were helpful in guiding us throughout the process and my daughter lists this as one of her best activities in Paris. You will likely end up paying additional for more materials/options than what is provided for free. Could get a bit expensive, but we thought it was worth the cost.

      Not as advertised
I bought this for my wife because I thought it would be a unique birthday gift, but she was disappointed in the entire process. She said another class was designing jackets during the same time and the instructor spent most of her time with them. Pretty much leaving them to figure it out on their own. I also thought I was paying for the instruction and the purse, but apparently not because she told me she had to pay another $150 because of the material she selected. It would of been nice to know what was extra before she made the purse. I done a lot of these tours and have scheduled tours like these for my clients being a travel agent and I can say this was the worst experience and will not be recommending to any future clients.

      Wonderful work shop
This was well worth the money. The experience for my 8yo daughter and me was better than expected. The designers are very helpful. The fabrics are beautiful and you have many choices. It’s a very hands on course and you learn each step of the process. They were very helpful towards my daughter. The artists that help with the final lining are very skilled. If you are looking for a unique, quality experience then look no further- you won’t regret this work shop! Such a Christmas treat! Thank you!!

Our Chef (Pedro I think? I still have jet lag lol) was lovely, informative, patient and VERY good at instructing us! The place is absolutely bonkers! pinball machines, disco balls, lego bar totally fun and WONDERFUL macaron's were made. There were a few kids but many were couples like us :) go you'll have so much fun AND have bragging rights. So many of our friends were so surprised and impressed WE made them from SCRATCH :).

I enjoyed the cooking class so much and had a really good time. And the macaroons turned out amazing and so delicious. The cooking instructor was so nice and helpful and very friendly. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend it for someone who is looking for something fun and creative to do in Paris.

      Fantastic!
My family and I had a wonderful time making macarons. The chef was very personable and hilarious. My 17 year old had a great time. I definitely recommend this event.

      Excellent instruction on French baking!
At first, I was a little hesitant about the decor of the place, but the chef (Renauld?) was FANTASTIC and I quickly lost any apprehension! We were stationed at a counter where each person had a top quality Kitchen Aid mixer and their own hot plate. The ingredients were all pre-measured and we learned interesting details about the history of macarons. My 11 year old baker found the class fun and easy (though she’s an experienced baker herself). Making the decorations while the macarons baked was well planned. We were able to make as many as we wanted. Luckily, we weren’t in a rush because the 2 hour class lasted almost 3 hours!!! We never felt rushed though, so as long as you have time, it is an excellent experience! We each came away with our own 6 large macarons and a few “mini-macarons” in a box, a cute polaroid photo and an emailed recipe. I would DEFINITELY recommend this!

      Dirty!
This place is small, crowded and very dirty! I don't think the place has been cleaned in 10 years. The floors were gross, dust on every object and book, grime, old sticky stuff on the counter and table. I took my son and his friend (both age 11) and overall they enjoyed it, but complained about being rushed. The experience was scheduled for 11:30-1:30. We didn't start until almost 12:00 because 3 guests were late. So the teacher (Pablo) rushed us through every step. The other guests were great and really made the experience bearable. We all made the best of it, sharing eyerolls and expressions of disgust at the decor and filth. There are LOTS of macaron baking classes in Paris. Do not take this one!

Oh, this was a super fun workshop. Jean, our instructor taught us every step and helped when needed. It was delightful to have so many choices of colors and decorations available to truly make an original hat. From floppy felt to firm finished shape (a choice of four styles). It will last for years I'm sure.

We absolutely loved this experience. Our tutor was very funny and kept us all entertained throughout the hat making process. The studio is awesome and we were both really proud of our hats! Definitely recommend as a unique and memorable activity with a difference!

Both me and my mum wanted a unique experience that we just couldn't get at home, and the hat making certainly delivered!

After booking we were sent the location and access code via email. It was easy to find and the staff were very welcoming. We first had tea and cold drinks on the top floor, but a word of **warning** the stairs to the top floor are pretty narrow and steep.

After tea and a chat, we now went down to the basement level (that stairs are wider here) where we met our hat making guide.

First, we were given aprons and bottles of water as it gets very warm when working. Next, our heads were measured for the perfect fit and then we picked from our preferred style of hat eg. Fedora, Trilby

We then picked from a selection of colours for the base, which were fixed to a mould with a bit of grit and a few nails. After more tugging, sweating, cutting and plenty of water the basic style was completed, but then we moved to the finishing touches.

There is a large selection of buttons, patches, stips of material and much more to customise your hat in whatever way you fancy. There is loads of inspiration around you, as many of the staff are busy with individual projects and full of encouragement.

There is a little bit of sewing, but everyone is very helpful and even I managed the sewing machine, despite the fact I've never used one.

When you get your final product you really are amazed and pleased. I'd really encourage readers to give this a go. Not only was it a great experience, but you leave the Chapellerie with a one of a kind item, that is utterly styled to your own personal taste.

Oh, and they give you a box to take it home.

I simply cannot recommend this class enough! I have received so many compliments on my hat and I think it is because when I wear it, I think of the happiness this workshop brought me and I project that into the world. Many interesting things to do in Paris, but making my own hat topped it all! My son agrees!

My husband found this place on Airbnb, and I immediately knew I wanted to go during our stay in Paris. Booking was easy and Marie got back to me quickly with answers to my questions. Directions to the studio were clear and easy to follow. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly and offered water or tea. Our workshop consisted of three other participants. Our instructor explained every step along the way and made us feel like true hat designers. The end product is beautiful and in my opinion a steal for the price. The studio is small and warm due to the heat of steaming the hats, so best to dress in layers. The instructors help with the more challenging parts to ensure your end product is professional quality. There are literally hundreds of embellishments to choose from to make a one of a kind hat. I would absolutely recommend doing this. And be sure to buy a hat box while you’re there for safe transport home!

My husband and I completed a hat making class here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The workshop is very whimsically designed and centrally located in Paris. The instructors were both helpful and friendly (note: they kindly accommodated us who are not competent French speakers). Throughout the class, the hatmakers clearly demonstrated how to do each step and provided suggestions and assistance to ensure that each hat was perfect to the student/client’s style. I was very impressed with both the quality of the final hat, and the experience of the class itself. We did not feel rushed at all.

Everyone in the class created very different styles of hats, from more basic/classic to more ornately decorated. There were countless combinations/possibilities for hats to be created (different hat top shapes - fedora, trilby, etc; colours; materials - felt, straw; brims; ribbons; feathers, buttons/patches/charms). All in all, it took about 3 hours, and we were gifted a photo of ourselves in our new hats and a coupon for use in the store. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a unique, memorable experience in Paris!

As a small note for any visitors with mobility issues: there was a staircase down to the workshop. I didn’t notice if there was an elevator or lift, so one might face accessibility challenges.

A year ago I discover the fact that i can consent to wear a hat, because it is useful and can look good. A state of mind that didnt occurs to me until my 29th years... Being able to overused my poor holiday hat my girlfriend took me in MinimeParis as one of the surprise of the day.

We were with Jean and with council i had time to think about what kind of hat i could do, for what purpose. I figure out i wanted to being able to work with it in mid-season condition.

Jean helped me finding out what shape and what color i should take in consideration in order to have the perfect hat, strong and still with personality. And then the fun began, from the confection to choosing the last button to it, with the help of the team of MinimeParis, making my hat as being probably the best thing my girlfriend took me to for my “diy” birthday present!

Jean, and the team of MinimeParis are passionate about what they do and the result is that you only want to know more about what they are doing.

A big thank you to them, i go toward my thirties with a perfect Trilby!

Well this was a wonderful unique experience and we bought home some BEAUTIFUL hats as our keepsakes from our trip to Paris. We worn them around Paris, and on our Train Ride, and we wear them every chance we get!!! Everyone there was so helpful and we had a great deal of fun; the workshop was so much more than we expected!!!
