My Dad and I went to Paris in October 2022 to celebrate his 66th birthday. I had previously gone to Paris in September 2021 with my husband, and we had such a wonderful time that it made my Dad jealous, so I decided to go back with him. My husband and I had previously done tours of Versailles and the Musee d'Orsay with Violette, so I reached out to her again about doing tours of Versailles and the Louvre for us. Violette laid out a great itinerary for us ahead of time telling us where to meet her for taking the train out to Versailles from Paris as well as where to get our entry timed tickets in advance.
Versailles was an absolute dream, and I highly recommend everyone check this beautiful palace out when they visit Paris. The day trip via train is worth it. Violette is absolutely brilliant, funny, engaging, charming, and extremely knowledgeable about all of the history and art at Versailles. She had great details for each of the rooms at Versailles as well as the gardens. My Dad is a retired history teacher, so he and Violette were able to chat about extra historical tidbits that many other tourists don't know and she did quiz him on his French history, which he loved. The tour with travel was about 4 hours, and it flew by quickly. We could've spent the entire day at Versailles with Violette, but alas, there was another tour after us.
Our next tour with Violette was at the Louvre. Violette showed us the major highlights like the Venus de Milo, crown jewels, Nike statue, Mona Lisa, etc., and she also showed us many other beautiful works that I hadn't seen in my previous tour in 2021. Violette knew that I was a big Joan of Arc fan, so she made sure to show us the Ingres painting of her at the coronation of Charles VII with a halo around her head before she was officially canonized. Since we had a timed ticket and went to the Louvre closing to opening time, we ended up being the first people in the Greek wing, which was fun, too, and were able to spend some time alone with the Venus de Milo. The tour was about 2.5 hours and once again flew by. We were sad it had to end.
You must take a tour with Violette! Her knowledge of history, art history, and Parisian life is absolutely amazing, and I love that she is always reading and watching new documentaries and series to add more fun facts to each of her tours. She has an amazing sense of humor and makes the artistic and historical information easy to understand and extremely enjoyable. Her love of history, art, and France is infectious, and you will end up wanting to read and research more about what you saw with her. Violette's tours were the highlights of both trips, and I cannot wait to go back and spend more time walking, learning, and laughing with Violette!

WOW! Such a great experience! Violette was amazing! She absolutely went above and beyond! It’s amazing to not only get such a knowledgeable guide but also one who truly cares about their work and the people they are taking under their safety. I received a tremendous amount of knowledge from this trip with her as my guide. It makes me look at art an entirely different way. Now I can’t wait for the next museum to visit just because of the education she provided regarding art and the overall experience she helped create. I felt at home with her as my guide even though I was a long way from home. I wish I could have booked every single one of my attractions while I am in Europe with her. If you thought that was enough no way She even took the time to share knowledge and information about food and things to do while in Paris and we took her on the recommendations and they did not disappoint! Best day in Paris by far! Definitely book it! Thank you so much!

I couldn’t be happier with the tour. We had a 12 month old baby with us and he was super helpful with the stroller and working with us. I can’t say enough great things about the tour guide from here. I will be sharing their info with all my friends and would recommend them to anyone who wants a knowledgeable tour guide in a small group setting.

Violet’s tour was far above our expectations. Two couples had been unable to take the tour, so we two had a private experience. Violet personalized it for us, and she navigated the HUGE museum to avoid crowds which allowed us to see and learn more. The depth and breadth of her knowledge is impressive. She’s extremely personable and it’s obvious art history is her passion. She brings her subject to life. You’ll be lucky if you can take a Fat Cat Tour.

Had a spontanous Louvre tour with Adam and it was amazing. He is incredible knowledgeable and was able to make everyone engage in the tour so you walked out being amazed at the knowledge he gives you. All the things he showed us were carefully selected and built up on eachother so it felt like a very nice walk through history on certain aspects. Will defenitely go on another tour when I'm in the Paris area next time.

Doing the masterpiece tour with Fat Cat was probably one of the best experiences I’ve had at a museum. Most of the time, I wander around wondering why something is important or how can I tell that a piece is important. Adam helped explain both on this tour. Along with this, he was engaging, funny, & knowledgeable.

This tour was a great experience. We wound up getting a private tour because we happened to be the only people who signed up for the tour on the date we chose. Adam did a phenomenal job giving us a tour of the Louvre. He was informative, passionate, funny, and clearly knowledgeable about both the museum and the art. It was one of the best parts of our trip to Paris. We can't recommend this tour highly enough.

We had a superior experience with our tour guide, Adam. I truly cannot say enough good things about him! Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had varying expectations, and he met them all. He took the time to get to know us and what we wanted to see/learn about. He then used that information to tailor the tour so that it felt very personalized. Adam is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and personable. His passion for art, culture and history was infectious. He provided so much interesting information that we would not have known by reading the plaques by the art. I was worried about not having enough time to see a lot in the alloted time, but we never felt rushed and we were encouraged to ask more questions or stop to appreciate anything of interest. In summary, we all agreed that Adam was by far the best tour guide we’ve ever experienced! Go #TEAMADAM!

Adam was so unbelievably informative and passionate about the pieces he was showing us! He really knew how to keep our attention and make it interesting for us. He is extremely knowledgeable and even adds some comedy to your tour. We loved him!!
