(other than "The Paris Metro" in the late 1970s) French Films subtitled in English. Many "just released" in French as well as classics you've wished you could watch in English. Well organized, well attended, and almost always a little something "extra" added: an interview with the director or with actors or a movie-related "tour" or something special at the drinks bar before the film. Films shown at 3 different cinemas on rotation. Great film experiences shared with fellow film lovers IN ENGLISH!!! Love it!Written January 6, 2024

My friends and I wanted to explore all the activities that Paris has to offer, with cinema/film being one of them. Unfortunately none of us spoke fluent French so finding a film we could actually watch and understand was difficult since they were all in French. Lost in Frenchlation gave us that opportunity! The cinema was wonderful and I found the traditional style theater to be charming compared to the cookie-cutter cinemas found back where we’re from in the United States. The staff was lovely and the drinks and snacks they had were delicious! I even got the opportunity to speak with Manon, one of Lost in Frenchlation’s co founders. Lost in Frenchlation is an absolute must-do activity if you are traveling to Paris anytime soon!Written June 15, 2023

I struggle with speaking French, so the opportunity to fully understand the French film was great. French film is such a big part of the culture that it is amazing to get the opportunity to fully engage in it. Yesterday watched my first movie with Lost in Frenchlation. It was so great to be able to see a french film in the cinema! Sure, nowadays you can easily get french films with subtitles in most languages from the commodity of your home. However, that doesn't beat the whole cinema experience. This is a great way to get closer to the language and the culture. Looking forward to the next film!

Lost in Frenchlation is literally the best thing I've found in Paris. I go to the screenings to watch the movies, but I leave with new friends every time. The vibes are always just good. I could not reccomend this more for anyone who is coming to Paris and looking for a sense of community.

Lost in Frenchlation is my favorite pastime in Paris. As a film student, it is not only a fabulous way to broaden my horizon of French films, but it also allows me to connect with other expats in Paris and improve my French language skills. I have met so many wonderful friends through this program, and it is a pleasure to have something to look forward to each week. Screenings are shown in multiple cinemas across Paris with English subtitles, so it is easily accessible for everyone. Plus, most screenings are followed by Q&As with the cast/crew… something exciting for more than just film students ;)

This is such a great place to make friends before the screening and to also start watching new French movies with English subtitles! I highly recommend it! Especially for solo travelers!

As a film student, I highly recommend lost in frenchlation to those who wish to get themselves immersed into the French cinema. It's such a great place to stay tuned to the new films and enjoy moive-going experience!

The events are such a fun way to connect to other international students, expats, and locals in Paris. I love talking with other people who are excited about films and getting to know each other. I also love having the opportunity to hear from the directors after the screenings!
