The second great museum of Paris, and a must see - unlike the Louvre, featuring the collection that is almost entirely made of French art. A definite recommendation and a unique experience.

Walking tour from Tuileries Gardens to Arc De Triumph
We had a wonderful walking tour from Tuileries Gardens to Arc De Triumph. We were a family of four with two teens. Our guide Amy was excellent!!! Very very friendly and had thorough knowledge about the places and their history. She guided us through the iconic spots and gave loads of information that my son was able to write about the trip at school. Highlights was high tea at Laduree with best macarons in town and ice cream. Amy was very patient and accommodating, giving enough time at places for pictures. Would highly recommend Amy the tour and our guide Amy!!

      I finally understand modern art!
Boris was really engaging and knowledgeable. He made My 12 year old very interested in modern art and explained not just the art but the historical context in terms that were easy to understand and remember. I myself have learn and understood so much about modern art like never before. Above all, Boris was very kind and pleasant to spend 2 hours with.

Our guide was so knowledgeable. She was a great communicator and provided interesting historical stories. She clearly has a passion for all things Paris. Would highly recommend this private tour!

Thought provoking and beautiful walking tour
This was our third tour with Boris on our recent trip to Paris. I learned of him and his small company through a favorite podcast (Earful Tower) where he has been a guest multiple times speaking on different subjects, including Haussmann. I think this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. He very skillfully weaves a narrative giving social, historical and artistic context, while visiting stunning iconic buildings. Definitely a must see/do experience.

      Another great tour with Boris
Having visited the Louvre on previous trips to Paris in my younger years as a student of art history, I knew that the experience can be overwhelming and exhausting. First time to Paris as a family with our teen with interest in history, but no background knowledge of art history I decided we needed to go with a private guide. I had learned about Boris through a favorite podcast and it was a wonderful experience. He customized the tour to our interests and kept everyone engaged.

      Excellent tour
This was the first of three tours our family did with Boris. Boris is both an intellectual as well as a skilled narrator. He is able to weave coherent themes throughout his tours and I found each tour to be educational and thought provoking. A great experience for our family. Highly recommend!

A nouveau view of hidden treasures
We loved the tour. Our guide, Mila, was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about what we saw, but how it fit in with the broader history of Paris, the architectual styles and how they developed and French culture. We have taken numerous Paris walking tours but this was our first with Paris in Person. We look forward to taking others with them. One thing to note if you take this tour: you will do plenty of walking but will see things in Paris you may well have missed before. The long walks were made enjoyable by all the information and stories Mila shared along the way.

      Incredible tour
Boris gave an amazing tour of the Pompidou’s diverse collection. His itinerary was thorough, cohesive, insightful. I loved Boris’ unique perspective as it allowed me to better understand the works of art. He elucidated a larger historical and social context for each artwork. He weaved together a map where the paintings/artefacts were portrayed as different artists’ reactions to modernity : either embrace it or search meaning elsewhere. I cannot recommend the tour enough! Simply wonderful!

      Amazing! Wish it was longer!
This was the best your guide we have had in Paris! We spent 2 hours w/Mila. She is very upbeat, energetic and her English is easy to follow. She explained about the history of the louvre, and really knows her art history. We wish we had booked 4 hours w/her to see the whole museum!

      Absolutely incredible!
The 6-hour tour of Paris was such a pleasure with Amy as our guide. She asked what we wanted to see, and then shaped the tour around us, seeming to know everything there was to know about French history. A car drove us from location to location, and Amy suggested a great restaurant for lunch. (Le Procope) We saw everything we wanted to see in Paris during the tour, which was handy since we only had a couple of days to spend in the city. We highly recommend this guide and this tour company.

      A charming and knowledgable host
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Haussmanian Paris. The guide, Amy, seemed to know everything about 19th century Paris, architecture, art, and every other question we asked her. Such a pleasure to be shown the city by someone so knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Custom Tour - exactly what we were looking for!
We had a private tour with Boris and it was incredible. Boris is likable and knowledgeable. His speciality is Medieval Paris. He created a custom 2 hour walking tour of the Cluny, Notre Dame and the Tour St Jaques. We learned a lot and had fun. Boris joined us for lunch afterwards. Highly HIGHLY recommended!

Enjoyment of All Aspects of the Louvre
We had struggled to find our way to the meeting location and were able to connect with the tour company to get clear instructions so we could arrive at the correct location. We made the mistake of going to the Arch de Triumph in the center of Paris and the tour start point was the smaller version of this iconic structure at the Louvre. Once we arrived, we were met with a difficult and uncontrollable situation that had the museum closed with no entry. Our guide Mila, was absolutely amazing because even though she could not get us in right away, she still took the opportunity to take us around the grounds and start walking us through the incredible history of the Louvre, the grounds and city. It was so enjoyable and informative. In about an hour the Louvre finally opened its doors and she was able to take us inside to see some the wonderful pieces of art and architecture that she was explaining on the outside. She took additional time out of her schedule to make sure my husband and I had the chance to see everything we wanted to inside. Her knowledge, explanations and personality brought the history to life and turned a very difficult experience into a wonderful memory. My husband and I would highly recommend this experience and this tour guide if you want to have your our experience at the Louvre.

If you are not a big museum lover, the Musee D'Orsay is the perfect museum to see. It is just one building and 2 floors. Tina was our guide and did an outstanding job giving us the type of information we wanted. She was attentive to our slower pace and answered our questions. It is a 2 hour tour and easy to see everything during that time. It has the type of art and sculptures that kept us interested. Again this was 1 of 4 tours that I specifically booked with Paris In Person after doing extensive research of many tour companies. I was Very Satisfied with the quality of the tour and the communication with the owner, Boris. If you are on the fence about a tour, just look this company up and do any of the tours they offer. You will not be disappointed.

Boris provided an exceptional tour of the Musée d'Orsay, blending deep knowledge of art history with delightful intellectual banter. His passion for the subject was evident, enriching the experience and making it both educational and enjoyable. He skillfully navigated through the museum's collection, offering insights and engaging conversations in a captivating manner. He was kind to detour to pieces that we inquired about with a vast range of knowledge on the entire collection. Overall, Boris's tour was a highlight, leaving a lasting impression and a deeper appreciation for art.

I’ve wanted to go to Musee d’Orsay for years and I finally had my chance. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had a guide as knowledgeable and gifted at sharing his insights as Boris. It is an overwhelming collection but he gave us an outstanding 2 hour tour - grounding us in some fundamentals up front and then walking us through the 5th floor. Boris provided historical and cultural context at an unusually high level that was both fascinating and fun.

We had a great private tour of Museum D'Orsay. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable not only in art (especially paintings), but also architecture, art history and French history. She made the tour interesting, fun and even approachable for my wife and I. We saw some wonderful works of art, but also learned about art and French history. I wish we had scheduled a longer tour (ours was 2 hours), but we will defintely go back and do other Paris tours with her. Five stars, would do it again.

Boris was our tour guide at Musee d’Orsay. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding the complex relationship between art, history, philosophy and the evolution of world power. He thoughtfully described how these associations affected the human condition for centuries. We spent several hours with Boris and we’re engaged the entire time with him.

He is a brilliant historian and if you are hoping for a guide who is passionate and well educated, schedule a tour with Boris. You will not be disappointed. He may change the way you look at art and the world.

We met Amy in front of the Orsay museum, and immediately she whisked us inside for our tour. Me, my husband and our two teenage daughters were completely jet lagged, but Amy kept the tour interesting and engaging. The pace was perfect and my girls said after it was the best tour we ever had, and I agree. Amy is friendly, knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum with her as our guide.

We had a fabulous tour with Amy through the Musee D’Orsay. Amy was fantastic guide, orienting us - and most importantly our two kids - on the history of the museum and the key themes of Impressionism. She made the tour fun and engaging for my kids and the whole family had a blast learning and exploring. Great tour!
