    Fun and informative!
Enjoyable experience where we learned lots about the wines of France. Who knew the different regions have different bottle shapes?! Needed a couple of tries to get the wax right on my bottle- my excuse was I was making a French chef’s hat!

    Absolutely a must do !!!
Absolutely a must do !!! Me & my Mother really enjoyed this excursion. It really surprised us how fun it was. The young man who hosted us was very knowledgeable about the Wines & Cheeses. It also adds a little something to the experience when he would give a little history of France 🇫🇷. It really made me trip when we literally walked into a cave to hang out. My only criticisms, 1) too much melty cheeses . 2) We should have had a Champagne as well. This a FUN experience for the family !!

    Best Sommelier Ever
I have done many wine tastings and the sommelier here, Justan, was the best ever in my experience. He was so knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. What made it particularly special was his clear love for sharing the information with us- not just someone standing there doing a job. He also gave us great insight into the difference between French wines, and those from other places, such as Napa. The wines and paired cheeses were excellent, and the private room was lovely. Highly recommend.

Friendly & knowledgeable sommelier. 10 cheeses from many areas of France with wines from France. Good explanation of location and terroir. Cool location in caves.

An absolute must for wine lovers visiting Paris
The whole experience was excellent - the wine cellar it was set in was awesome and the wine/cheese pairings were unreal! The host Justin did an amazing job of welcoming everyone in and his knowledge was second to none on wine and cheese.

    Delicious and entertaining
Thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating experience. This was easily one of the highlights of our recent stay in Paris. The quality and variation of the cheese and wine was excellent and we felt we learned a few things as well as having fun. The fact that it is designed for a small group (maximum 8) was just ideal. Our host & guide Amaury (apologies for any misspellings) was excellent and I'd absolutely recommend this experience.

    Absolutely lovely!
Jan, our sommelier, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. We had lots of questions about wine and he knew the answers. We learned so much, and this was definitely one of our favorite parts during our very first visit to Paris! The mixed charcuterie board was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be ordered wine overseas once we return home. Thank you!

    Great experience!
I went with my mom to the make your own bottle of wine class and we were both thrilled with our bottles! You not only are able to mix and match different types of wine, but the instructor will walk you through how to taste for different elements of the wine such as the acidity and tannins. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We were also able to personalize our bottles with our own labels and were shown how to cork and seal our bottles with wax. Highly recommend.

It’s OK. The tour is about 1 hour to be exact. The wine pours were minimal and it felt a little rushed. The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and we did learn about wine regions in France that we had no idea about. If your looking to learn about wine regions, grapes, rules and laws that govern the production process in France this is the place to go at an affordable price… if you looking tk really do a wine tasting I wouldn’t recommend.

Hello, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure hosting you at Caves du Louvre. I am very glad to hear that you learned a lot about French wine and that our sommelier was knowledgable and taught you about wine regions, grapes, rules and laws that govern the production process. I am sorry that the pours where not big enough for your liking ; this is not usual as our sommeliers always pour 3 generous tasters during the guided tours. If you ever want to come back to Caves du louvre we would love to host your again for our other tastings. Best regards,

We had a fantastic tour at Cave des Louvres with sommelier Amori (hope I spelled that right!). Learned a lot about French wine and wine production in general, and tasted 3 delicious wines, served in generous portions. Convenient location close to the Louvre. We purchased a few bottles in the shop at the end - just a shame there’s no discount if you’ve done a tour. Highly recommended way to spend an hour.

A great way to spend an hour. I know quite a lot about wine and now know so much more. The sommelier was amazing - he made such a fuss of our pre-teens when serving their grape juices. Charming and highly recommended.

We booked this through the Paris Pass, I didn't really know what to expect but I was so glad we went for this. If you are visiting Paris, this is a must do! There are many historic and beautiful sights in the city, but this is a true cultural experience. A Wine master will take you through step by step on various topics of the Wine making process whilst you sip some ;). The setting, the caves and the overall wine tasting was excellent and well conducted. Once the tour ends, there is a wine shop where you can purchase different French wines. Being in Paris, I felt this was a very authentic experience.

We had so much fun doing this! We met other lovely couples, and we all had a great evening tasting several different wines. The guide/bartender was so informative. We learned so much from him. A unique location and we learned a lot about growing grapes and the different tastes of wines from different regions. Highly recommend!

This was a fabulous tour. The sommelier was excellent, and we learned so much. It started on time and met our expectations. I would truly recommend it to wine lovers. You may want to take the tour earlier in the time you are there to understand the French wines and districts. Great Experience!!

An interesting, self-guided tour of the winery, ending with wine tastings in a stone cellar with Sommelier pouring. It was here that I was introduced to Sancerre wine, a region in France where grapes to make Sauvignon Blanc are produced. The tour took our family of 4 approximately 2.5 hours. Make sure to book an appointment.
